Starting point is 00:00:00 Now I just want to start track three off of this 21 track body of work, this classic body of work, by letting the people know that no matter who you support, you know, you may support White Tank Top, you may support audio NyQuil, or you just may support Mr. Bipolar. But at the end of the day, everybody should be able to enjoy these timeless classics that Drake and Party Next Door has just given us. now ladies gentlemen i'm talking about track number three off of some sexy songs for you titled something about you and as far as it's setting the mood and i just want to use this particular track to highlight give kudos and get flowers to the one and only 40 should be because what he's doing with crafting this sound Drake's voice obviously had a lot of work done with it as far as on the engineering side of things. I'm not saying Drake can't sing.
Starting point is 00:01:08 I do always say he has a limited vocal range. That is something I'm consistent with. But as an engineer, that 40 is, of course, the way that he puts these effects and different elements on Drake's voice to make it sound better to the masses has to be pointed out as far as him consistently coming through. in the clutch and making maybe the raw vocals that may not sound the greatest, passable and serviceable to the masses. Now, why do I say that? Because this track is completely a singing, rapping type of anthem with, of course, Drake going on about relationships and things like that.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Now, when it comes to the overall theme of love, this obviously is some sexy songs for you. but one of the things I could really be appreciative of is that party next door when it comes to this particular track is always adding something that isn't already there sometimes when a feature or just a collaborative album is happening usually it's just verses with the same flow over the over the beat right but the way they're coming in they're both coming with very unique melodies to the point one could argue they're coming with their their own choruses for every single track, which makes it seem very unique in the way that Drake comes on a track, part of the next door comes on a track because it feels like their own, but they're both on one track. Hopefully that makes sense. One person's coming with a melody and the other person's coming with a melody that could both be that chorus for the entire song, which makes each and every track off of this project just seem way more timeless in retrospect, as far as what we
Starting point is 00:02:55 we've been given as far as Drake R&B tracks. So hopefully that makes sense. Like the way that party next door is adding to Drake is kind of like I would compare it in basketball terms. It's like when KD went to the Warriors. Like obviously we respect Steph as far as everything he's meant to the game. But we cannot ignore the fact that party next door being there elevated his status to a whole other level when it came to a specific genre.
Starting point is 00:03:21 So with that being said, I think this track is very great as far as, from a sonic standpoint and shout out to 40 should be because the way that he's engineering these vocals i ain't going to lie he is definitely doing god's work so with that being said now we're going to get to the track that they was highlighting a lot before this album came out which is track for titled crying in chanel
