The goat, the mascot of hip hop, has came back to the game to give us some absolute garbage.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
You know, sometimes I think about Drake's releases and his hit rate pause.
You know what I'm saying?
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
I think about his consistency in the hip-hop, in the hip-hop game and the music game, his ability to give us high-quality.
on a consistent basis that whenever he gives us absolute garbage, it just completely befotles me
to the point where I think it's AI.
There's no way Drake actually sat down and laid that verse.
You know, and y'all probably wondered, which track are you talking about?
You look at Drake's page and this track is not even on there.
There's a reason for that.
This is specifically for Smiley, who, if you don't know, is under OVO.
So he's basically signed to Drake.
And with that being said, he's put out a whole.
EP title, Don't Box Me In, Nine Songs, Twenty Two Minutes, and the track is called Two Maza.
Now, if you don't know, two Maza is a variation of the slang term Maza.
How do I know that? Because I looked it up, because I'm a law-abiding citizen, so I had to use
Google for this. So this is primarily used in UK Street slang to mean madness or something
crazy, exciting or intense, either in a positive or negative context.
According to a post, two Mazza is an intense version.
It's an intensified version because now you got two of them instead of just one.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
Now, all jokes aside, this track is beyond garbage.
And, you know, I'm not even just saying that to talk about Drake's overall status,
especially with Kendrick performing in Toronto later tonight at 7.
I'm not even, you know, bringing it up, right?
the main reason i'm saying is garbage is because if you even compare this to over the top with
smiling and drake this track even compared to that is very lackluster to the point where you
understand that over the top is really a phenomenal track if you compare it to this like what we got
from smiling and drake when it comes to over the top and i forget when that track came out
let me see over the top all right so this album when this track came out 2021 goodness that makes me
I imagine calling back to something you look at in its 2021.
Anyways, um, over the top by Smiley and Drake was beyond phenomenal.
And the way that Drake was coming on that track, pause, hey, yo.
You guys. See, that's the problem.
So the way that Drake was performing hit lyrically over that track was, was phenomenal, right?
And I do believe that when it comes to this two Mazza track, it sounds like he took a melatonin.
toning it sounds like he took a night quill like a cup of night quill it sounds like
jermaine cole went missing in a hip-hop game just to ghost write this verse because this is not it
as far as the sleeping this effect of this verse and what it has on me i mean i might as well just listen
to two maza instead of taking a melatonin before i go to sleep now at the end of the day you already
know i'm a huge drake fan so for me to critique this verse like that is essentially letting you know that
the delivery is lackluster the subject matter is generic and overall the song in totality
it's just uninspired it's just uninspired and the way that they executed over this track makes
you seem like this was only to distract you from a certain someone performing in toronto because
why why in the world would it release now opposed to all the other weeks in may or june right
So anyways, I don't want to spend too much time just completely killing the track.
I do want to focus on Smiley for a little bit because, you know, there's no critique to Smiley.
You know, he didn't know that Drake was going to give him this verse, right?
And what is he going to say?
No, like, do it over?
Like, imagine being assigned to Drake and asking him to do his verse over.
He was like, you know what?
How about instead of me redoing my verse, I redo your contract.
You know what I'm saying?
Let's do that.
So, you know, you probably don't really want to mess with Drake like that as far as if you're under him.
but you know his album or EP don't box me in is non-tracks it's 22 minutes he has icewear
vizo also on this album he has baca not nice i love his song bachan nice uh his track with
you know that that drake co-wrote i believe it was let me see what's it call he said he said
he say live up to my name this is not for fashion something something get the blasting like he was
talking crazy the track is title live up to my name if you want to listen to
it Bacana nice went insane like imagine you know how great you gotta be to write a to write a hit
song for your bodyguard. All right my fault. So with that being said, Smiley and his EP
Don't Box Me in is out now on all DSPs. I don't see any other notable features.
So yeah, I swear Vizo. Baca not nice is on it and of course Drake with his two Maza verse,
which is you know, it's something man, it's something. But yeah, I, I, I,
I'm sorry it's not it's not good this is not good um but that being said there's always room
to grow you know this this is one individual that say the the largest room than i've been in
is the room for improvement so that'd be said click my link to you in my bio let me know in one of my
social medias what do you think about drake's outing as far as him being featured on smiley's
two maza ep that's out now in all dsps and did you like the song did you not and
And if you did like the track, what did you like about it?
And if you didn't like it, what did you not like about it as far as the ultimate garbage that was delivered in an audio fashion?
