Now, if dedication had an image, a visual, I think the notorious mass effect will pop up.
And the reason why I'm saying that is because not only did we, of course, break down the entire Drake Iceman episode one,
but more specifically, we got into the Supermax preview.
We got into the What Did I Miss preview.
We got into the face first one dance type of track that was previewed, which a lot of people glossed over.
And my opinion, that has the highest probability of going viral as far as when he puts it out on
as far as the highest probability to go viral on Billboard more specifically.
But not only that, but we're about to get into the Smiley freestyle.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Smiley had his own preview on Iceman episode one,
and I ain't going to cap to you.
There was nobody who could care less.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
But to be fair to Smiley,
To be fair to Smiley, because I don't want to sound like I'm just dunking on him.
I like the track.
I like the way he was rapping.
I like the overall delivery.
I like the beat.
The beat was really hard.
I thought Drake was going to come over at some point and just go crazy, right?
Pause.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
But in general, you get on saying.
Like Smiley, the beat was so infectious and it was like a dark, it was like a gritty type of beat,
which, you know, it's hard to really describe beats in a way if you haven't heard.
but in general it was very dark and um the overall delivery by smiley really showcases his
uniqueness in the way that he um uses vocal inflection i'm not even trying to be funny smiley uses
vocal inflection in a very unique way some would say that maybe he was in Atlanta looking for a
twerk out but my fault you know what i'm saying so with that being said uh drake is ultimately
putting his man on an ovo and i can't be mad at it if somebody's under your laborer you're
I'll be doing any and everything to promote that person to become maybe even bigger than you or maybe that's the same level because you know
Drake gets a lot of flag for not putting people on but everybody knows the weekend everybody knows party next door
everybody knows um who else I mean that's two right there that's enough but let me keep going so you have the weekend
you have party next door uh Roy uh Roy woods um who else smiley this is just off the top like obviously I can look up the list
but when it comes to oVO i've always said you know a good amount of times that if drake is
collapsing with you is to take your producer and i know that may not be fair to the ovo camp but you know
i got to keep it eight more than 92 if drake is collabing with you sort of like he did blockboy
jb now take heat this is producing all the drake and little baby collapse so drake actually
knows what he's doing when he's like collapsing with certain people but at this point in time you
should already know that getting back in the smiley his freestyle is phenomenal which is why i talk
about how Drake is like hard bent on showcasing how lyrical smiley is because he's getting off some
bars like I think the thing with smiley is his vocal inflection really throws people off like
you know people swing the way they want to swing and you know to me people do what you want to
do you know what I'm saying is a free world right but as far as what I prefer to listen to I don't
know if the vocal inflection that Smiley has is really for me and I think a lot of people feel like
So when they listen to the track and they hear Smiley having certain tonality that feels like he's engaging in certain activities, then it's almost as if it throws us all the way off and now we don't want to listen to the track no more.
Call us ignorant, but that's exactly how people feel about Smiley's music.
His bars are hard.
The hard hitting bars is unquestionable, in my opinion.
The delivery, the vocal inflection is the biggest problem.
But that is what makes him most unique.
on a it's more of a serious note i don't know if i want to go there though okay i'm more serious though
well i'm okay i'm not going to put a name on it uh there's certain rappers right who
their claim to fame that makes them unique it's the same thing they ended up causing their
demise right whether it's drugs whether there's other things now y'all can kind of see what i'm going
with this i think for smiley his vocal inflection makes them so unique but it's also
detrimental to the people outside who aren't aware of his music and they hear it and they
completely turn off because they're thinking to themselves,
why would I want to hear this when I can listen to somebody else
with a regular voice delivering these bars, right?
So yeah, that's basically it.
I think Smiley is definitely getting the most alle use from the OVO camp.
Oh, no, no, no, I'll take that back.
Party Next Door is living lavishly.
But that's because I don't really want to discredit Smiley.
I think he's a good artist.
But Party Next Door is another level.
because of his penmanship and you know he he wrote work for rihanna i believe he wrote a lot of other
things you know for drake so um party next door is definitely the most valuable member in ovo
it used to be the weekend but you know then the weekend didn't want to sign and then now they
have a forever beef so uh as far as a smiley um i think his bars are fire but he may just
have to be a rider for drake i ain't go cap to you because the delivery to sonic like i don't
to keep being a dead horse y'all get the point right so um smiley is getting a lot of alibus he's not
getting as much as party next door but you know part of his door i think his pen may be even better
than a lot of people in the in the music game um smiley hopefully at some point he capitalizes
off of one of these alley-ups for drake because i think the biggest al-a-up he capitalized off of was
when um him and drake made over the top and then of course you heard all of the comments
on Smiley's verse on over the top.
I mean, one person said he was rapping like he was taken,
and that's all I'm going to say.
That's all I'm saying.
I'm not trying to get canceled.
So that being said,
that's my official coverage of Smiley's freestyle.
I do believe that he's one of the unique,
sonically infused rappers out here.
And at the end of day,
his rapping ability,
I think is unquestionable.
I think he really cares about the lyrics he's putting together.
And that's the main thing.
But there's a lot of things to work on with him.
So,
but shout out to Drake,
giving him a shout out once again on the iceman episode one which included his supermax track
included what did i miss the anthem that's going to be released soon included the face first track
which is a dance hall type of track a one dance type of track in my opinion that a lot of people just
skipped over right and then of course you had to freestyle by smiley so with that being said click
my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what did you think about my iceman
coverage of uh my iceman episode one coverage in totality now that has concluded and the end of the
what was your favorite part of the live stream
