Starting point is 00:00:00 Gangster rappers and the goat has always been a goaded combination. Whether it's Drake and Future, whether it's Drake and Little Dirk, whether it's Drake and Little Dirk, whether it's Drake and 21 Savage, Drake and Little Baby. I mean, the list can go on and on. And I think there's a specific reason for that. The perception of Drake, unfortunately, as a Drake stand, I must point this out. is that he's a little zesty, zesty, I think that's how you say the word, when it comes to mannerisms and just the way he goes about making music. So when he collaborates with a gangster artist,
Starting point is 00:00:43 it brings a certain energy out of him that makes the track absolutely fire. A lot of people gave the track way too sexy, which was the last time Drake and Young Thug collaborated. So much flack. They hated the chorus. They hated the way it's sexy. sounded. It was like a sample from some type of classic way back in the day. But that top, the Billboard top 100. So somebody was listening to it. And I think that was one of the best songs together. Also, they have solid, which was off of the YSL compilation. If there's one thing about Drake is that he's been very consistent in his support for young thug and always giving him a verse when he asked for it. So him putting on putting a verse on a YSL
Starting point is 00:01:29 compilation track just lets you know how much he enjoys making music for young thug also sacrifices back on more life is one of the more prominent tracks in drake's career i believe and drake and young thug just have so many great tracks together even the same project on more life um the track ice smells that was a great track that was was definitely a huge hit and i think that drake and young thug is just complimentary of each other's perception. And even Young Thug has had some zesty moments with him in the cover of Jeffrey. I'm not going to tell you why it was zesty.
Starting point is 00:02:10 Just look at the album cover and you can probably tell why. And I'm talking about the album, Jeffrey. But when you're looking at Drake in this specific track, which this whole segment is over, titled Parade on Cleveland, you would think that this man was the second coming. of LeBron James. I don't know who told Aubrey to go so hard on this intro, but when it comes to making an intro for a mixtape,
Starting point is 00:02:39 for an album, for a project that's just a soundtrack to a movie, nobody does it better than Aubrey Graham. And I may be a little biased, obviously, as Drake is my favorite artist of all time, but I will say that Drake is, in fact, one of the best rappers we've ever seen in the hip-hop space. So with that being said, this man puts the lyricism on full display while also singing on parade and Cleveland. So now, of course, you already know what I have to do because I have genius pulled up because when I listen to the ghost music is not good enough to just listen to it.
Starting point is 00:03:20 You have to read it. You have to dissect it. You have to keep going through it over and over with a fine tooth comb. I think that's how you said. Probably not. Anyways. And point out the best parts of the verse. So if you return with me to parade on Cleveland to verse one, Drake says, and it reads,
Starting point is 00:03:49 I'm about to mop up some boys. It's custodian time. Me and my thoughts is the loneliest time. Don't tell me about loyalty. Show me this time. That boy good, ain't he? Anyways, let me keep going. Don't tell me about, oh, he says it again.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Don't tell me about loyalty. Show me this time. Business is business. You owe me this time. Slime on your head. Nickelodeon time. I ain't going to lie to you. That almost made me pass out, no cap.
Starting point is 00:04:26 I got a little light head. I was like, wow. It's just, hey, bars. like that don't come bars like that it's few and far between as far as quality double entendres you know all that type of stuff and Drake when he was promoting this said you owe me this time which a lot of people was just thinking uh or attributing to him pushing back literally pushing back his album because um of this and I don't know if that's 100% true a lot of people are just saying it could be the tract verse or the track lyrics it could be him actually referring to him pushing
Starting point is 00:04:59 and whatever he was going to put out back to let Young Thug have this moment. But a lot of people were speculating that Drake was going to put out some type of mixtape before he went on tour, which kind of makes sense. But I think Drake, when he goes on tour, still has time to put out music.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Even though I feel like going or touring, it's the hardest space to make music in because there's so many moving parts and you're trying to give the best performance possible that may take all your energy away from making music. I still think that he could put out a mixtap if you wanted to. But for Drake to say, slime on your head, Nickelodeon time, I mean, at that point, that boy just playing around in the studio.
Starting point is 00:05:41 He's just like, hey, you know, can't nobody really hang with me when it comes to lyricism? So let me just say something that's just outlandish to make you know that I'm him and I'm the only one that's him. And I could keep reading, but at the end of the day, this is a Young Thug album. so I don't want to stay too much on Drake, but let's just say that this man showed once again why he's the goat, the G-O-A-T, the T-A-O-G backwards. So click on my link to my bio,
Starting point is 00:06:16 let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about Drake and Young Thug's latest track? I mean, it's literally the first track off of the album. Drake kicks off the Post-Arrest Young Thug Project, and I think he did a for now. phenomenal job produced by of course metro booming kid masterpiece david and ellie and i didn't even touch on that imagine having drake and metro booming on the same track like if you don't know those two are having uh steaming beef right now about steaming i mean it's very underground but there's a reason
Starting point is 00:06:49 why drake did a whole album with 21 savage as soon as metro said his album with 21 savage was on the way and you notice that album has mysteriously been pushed back because of her loss. Now, I'm not saying that Metro and what 21 Savage had was better than her loss, but I am saying that Drake probably went out of his way to spite Metro booming because even Metro was a little petty after the fact when he put out his produced album Heroes and Villains, where he notoriously left Drake off of the track with Young Thud, and Travis Scott titled trance. Like Drake was supposed to be on that track. If you go on YouTube,
Starting point is 00:07:32 you can easily find the leaked quote-on-quote came straight from Drake's camp probably. But the league verse by Drake's supposed to be on trance. But Metro said, literally said in an interview, you can look this up as well. You know, we don't do fake news over here. He literally said as well, there wasn't enough room for Drake.
Starting point is 00:07:53 That's like golden, that's like if the Golden State Warriors was able to get Kevin Dries, It was like, ah, you know what? I mean, we already won a championship without him. There's not enough room for him. Like, it makes no sense, right? But anyways, yeah, so Metro is just extremely petty.
Starting point is 00:08:10 And so him and Drake being on the same track is a big deal and goes back to the title of Young Thug's album, Business is Business. Because at the end of the day, they're all put in their best foot forward for Young Thug. Simply for because he's locked up and obviously can't promote it himself. So all of his superstar friends are coming out of the woodworks to give their best efforts for this project. So click my link to you in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Young Thug and Drake's track parade on Cleveland?
Starting point is 00:08:45 That's the first track off of the album. Is it your favorite? And if not, do you think it's fire or even more fire?
