Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, serious question. Did Jack Harlow ever get that feature from Dua Leapah? In other news, Dua has just put out a new track titled Illusion. Now, the only illusion that I'm seeing is the one where somebody puts out music and then the old music starts to outperform her newer music to the point where now we're trying to scavenge and just go deep in the vault for something that will stick. Because obviously, you know, with training season, I do believe that was a particularly good track.
Starting point is 00:00:47 But for her fan base, for it to have seven weeks on the charts and the peak position was 27, for an artist of Dua Lipa's magnitude plus overhead, I think that is not sufficient when it comes to, the overall grand scheme of things with her putting out an album because if you don't know the track that is still blowing up to this day is houdini by duolipa and obviously that peaked at number 11 on the charts uh been on the charts for 21 weeks and basically it's currently at 45 on the billboard top 50 and that compared to training season obviously is a big difference with that but it's a hit track
Starting point is 00:01:34 so you can't really say too much because that's a hit track so you can't really say too much because that's track came out last year November 9th, 2023. So to be in competition with yourself analytically means that you're probably doing something right. So what I want to say is it's not all the way over
Starting point is 00:01:50 of course for Duolipa. It's just when I say scavenge for a hit and looking around in the vault for something that will stick is more of competing with yourself, which is a good thing. It could be well, the alternative
Starting point is 00:02:06 could be you don't have any track in the top 100 and nobody as far as the masses is listening to your music so with you trying to have some type of mass effect it's going to have to stay longer in the top 20 to 10 maybe not even top 10 because obviously with houdini it didn't crack the top 10 but it still is on the charts to this day after 21 weeks which is definitely a feat in itself so Despite the numbers talk, let's get into the quality in the tracks. I believe that from what I've heard, the two tracks tells me that, well, as far as the listening to the two tracks tells me that the quality is not an issue. As I like both tracks as far as illusion and training season. Now, comparing it to Houdini, I would say it's around similar.
Starting point is 00:03:06 quality level, but analytically is a whole other beast in itself. But to help with the numbers, do a leaper drop the music video for the latest single Allusion for upcoming album, Radical Optimism, which is basically a pretty interesting title, if I might add, as, you know, sometimes titles just feel like nobody even thought, gave it two seconds of thought when they came up with it so i like this album title as it feels like uh provocative but anyways um the whole music video i think is on not not the whole thing but as far as the teaser is on her instagram if you want to see it right here um analytic dreams video on spotify but basically it's about knowing what you're getting into but staying for the fun of it so of course
Starting point is 00:04:01 toxic vibes all over the place for this specific track and if there's one thing i know about um this type of music in the demographic it targets toxicity when it comes in this form is definitely very in captivating for the masses to the point they would definitely uh enjoy the track and probably play it for the foreseeable future the only thing i would say is hopefully it ends up being a hit, not even a hit, but just one of those that pushes her album to come out earlier. Because for fans who don't know, if your artist gets a hit, you're more likely going to get a new album from that particular artist. Because of course, if you put out a single and it has success while you're rolling out an album, now the album is pushed up because that single
Starting point is 00:04:56 that has been successful is now officially the marketing campaign for your new album. And you'll probably say isn't that with every single definitely not because of course like we've seen with training season it's not going to be the marketing rollout for her album as it was not successful enough to be the main driver in sales for her album but once she gets a hit single best believe that album's going to come out sooner so really for do a leap for do a leap of fans it's all in your hands at this point so with that being said click my link to your bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about duelipa dropping her new single illusion for our upcoming album radical optimism and as far as the past two years what has been the favorite track that duelipa
Starting point is 00:05:44 has dropped in your opinion
