One of the hardest bars ever in hip hop and obviously ever is a stretch, but I'm still going to say ever, is when Jack Harlow said,
do a leper, I'm trying to do more with you than a feature because not only was he able to put a woman's name that he's never met in a track, but it also was successful peaking at number 21 on the Hot 100.
during the week ending of May 21, 2022.
And obviously ended up breaking the ice between Jack Harlow and Duolipa, as you can see right here.
Also, Annalik Dreams video on Spotify for video along with the audio.
What does this have to do with Duolipa is probably what you're screaming at your screen right now?
Well, ladies and gentlemen, Duolipa, a three-time Grammy winner,
has released her second single yes stop the presses duolipa is back again to blesses all with the new
track titled training season in promotion for her upcoming third studio album now the lyrics is more
about deeper connections romantic type of innuendos you know things of that nature training season
obviously written by Dua Leapha, along with Caroline, Tobias, Danny, Tame, and Paula's Kevin Parker.
The music video directed by Vincent Haycock, portraying Dua Leipa surrounded by suitors,
seeking second chances while the room spins into chaos.
Dula Lipa has talked about her being a phenomenal writer.
about phenomenal.
I mean, I'm putting words in her mouth.
But she did say she has written over 97 songs for the upcoming album starting in 2021.
I mean, if you want to be Little Wayne, just say that, even though Little Wayne doesn't write.
So I don't know why I said that.
But the amount of songs that hip-hop art is making one night seems like it's equivalent to the amount of songs that Leap was trying to get off.
It's almost like when Kat Williams went under Shannon Sharp and said he reads like two million books a night.
something like that but anyways
duolipa said that she wrote
97 songs for the upcoming album
now if y'all think i'ma believe that
y'all got another thing coming because
you all realize how
many verses goes into 97
songs
I feel like artists be saying stuff
and they don't realize like we can
actually count up
like the amount of time that would take
not saying that duolipa doesn't write her own music
I'm definitely not trying to say that in the slightest.
I'm just saying 97.
I mean, you got a times that by at least two.
And we're just talking about verses.
97 times two.
That's 194 verses, mind you.
Now, let me see.
97 times two.
So there's what, two verses from Dua Leapha,
at least a bridge in the chorus.
So that probably means you're making around 100.
bridge and chorus is really like 97 but that's a lot of material to write down i'm not saying she's
lying i'm just saying she may not be fully telling the truth now of course the album is described
as pop and dance with influences from abba i don't know there is abba evident in the training session
music video and then duelipa also expressed confidence and empowerment stating that her growth
with every experience is reflected in the album.
Man, haven't heard that one before.
Now, at this point, you may think I'm a hater and coming off as hateish.
But I like Duelito.
I like her music.
I like the way that she promotes herself.
I think, in the long run, it's harder and harder for these pop artists to have standout
appeal whenever Taylor Swift is like the Michael Jordan of this entire thing we call music.
So whenever you are a woman in a certain pop field that Taylor Swift dominates, like, specifically, like, that's her genre specifically.
I could see it being hard to stand out amongst somebody who's doing it 10 times, 100 times, a thousand times better than you.
So with Dua Lipa being a three-time Grammy winner, promoting herself in this way, leading up to her third studio album, I could see how the immense pressure could be.
hard to deal with as far as still pleasing her core audience.
But seems like she's doing that as she even performed this song,
I think before it came out at the Grammys,
the 2024 Grammys and emphasize that the song and the theme
is to not settle for less in relationships.
Also, it was something else I pulled up.
and to bring it full circle,
Jack Harlow and Dula Lipa were back in November 15, 2023
competing as far as number one on the UK official singles chart,
which I think Dula Lipa is from the UK, if I'm not mistaken.
I don't know.
She's signed to Warner Records UK,
and I'm thinking she has to be from UK
because why she specifically signed to the UK version of Warner.
But anyways,
Jack Carlo loving on me and Dula Lipa's Houdini is or was competing for number one on the charts.
I think Jack Harlow's ended up winning that one.
But the biggest thing is to note that Jack Harlow went from putting her into a track
to actually competing with her on the charts, which, you know, idols turn rivals type beat.
So anyways, I really just bring that up to say that dual.
Lipa is obviously going to impact the charts with this track called training season.
And the reason why I even bring it up in the first place being a person who covers hip hop
is because of her ties to hip hop, whether it's a Jack Harlow, whether it's, I think she was
on the Barbie soundtrack.
I think she's had a plethora of tracks with hip hop artists.
Like she's one of those where some musicians in other categories don't even, or other
genres, don't even try to dabble in the hip hop scene, even though it's been number one.
genre for the past decade so with duelipa actually doing tracks with certain hip hop musicians
and attributing to the overall success of hip hop i think it would be only right to cover her as
well when she puts out music so that's the only reason i'm covering this but anyways hopefully
it does well at the end of day um hopefully you know jack hollow got more than a feature so that being
said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social
media's what do you think about duelipa's new track training session and also after listening to it
do you think is fire or trash
