Who would have thought that not only would notorious Mass Effect blend gaming and music,
but so would this artist that was about to get into that calls himself Easy Kid.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Such a great day when somebody who has an appreciation for the art, the craft of gaming,
incorporates it into his music to the point where that specific track ends up being the 17th most played track in Mexico
now when it comes to easy kid this is his specific track that came out not that long ago as far as
you see easy kid and because there was another artist on this specific track i think it was um
this uh let me see this this bit i was trying to say his name right i don't know
I said it right. I think it's D-Y-S-B-I-T. I think it's disbis, I don't know. He's on the track.
So when it comes to Shiny, obviously you already knowing Pokemon what Shiny refers to, but he has more, ladies and gentlemen.
Yes, this artist is blending, gaming, and music, sort of like another creator, but you know, that's besides the...
You know, that's besides the point. Anyway, so let's get back into it as Easy Kid said, quote.
and I know, and this is the English translation,
and I know what you feel when that ain't me,
and then he gets mad, I live, like, oh, oh, uh-oh, stuff like that.
You don't respond, comma, but you always hit a like.
Like in Fortnite, build up, and you bounce.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop.
Like, what's going on?
If I had phone flexes drop as far as that's bars, you know,
except a very provocative version, I would play that drop, as that is straight bars right there.
So not only has he incorporated Pokemon as far as the latest track, Shiny, not only has he
incorporated Fortnite bars into, what was the track called, Antibald Lakers that came out
2022 featuring Dre F. Adref, Quila, Dre F. Quila, hopefully I ain't butchered too bad.
But when it comes to their other notable video game mentioned, he's even talked to
about Legend of Zelda, ladies and gentlemen.
And the track,
whine, or no, it's why me, my fault.
There was no space in between it.
That's the artist's fault.
Not mine, you know what I'm saying?
All right, let's get back into it.
2023.
He said this,
Como unglitch in El Hugo,
total seamancia.
I think that's how he said.
Which essentially means,
like a glitch in the game,
everything resets.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
Nah, this man got bars for days.
know what i'm at to listen to this man hold discography i'm being completely genuine right now because
for me and my life my uh my uh what i do for a living i really appreciate when people put a lot of
video game references into the music you should probably tell by now so with easy kid doing this
casually never really naming a whole track after a video game but blending these video game references
seamlessly into his music i really like the aspect of his love for gaming and you
music so that's on full that's on a full display as shiny like already says the 17th most play
track in Mexico but also as far as TikTok through the hashtag shiny challenge is going crazy
to the point where it's had two two million plus videos made for that specific track by October
of this year and then he also has a celeb engagement from Rosalia Kenna O's TXT
fueling the Gen Z Anthem status.
And of course, when it comes to the specific track, shiny and Chile, or Chile, I don't know if I'm pronouncing that wrong,
is currently the fifth most played track as far as the viral charts.
And then, of course, it's the 17th most played track in Mexico.
It's not showing any sign of slowing down.
Actually, the opposite.
It seems like it's on the rise.
So it may even increase by the time that this review comes out.
But then you come to the overall Spotify streams.
and you come to realize this man is a humongous artist so i went to his page to see what major
labor he was under and ladies and gentlemen this man is a straight independent i know that ain't who i
think it is i know easy kid is not out here putting up these very impressive numbers as an
independent act i know that ain't who i think it is shout out to him because that's a phenomenal
accomplishment and only hard work and dedication can really get you onto the top of the charts not
the top of the charts into the charts as an independent act as independent labels and independent
acts hold a whopping 9% of the music market share currently so i already know with easy kid
once he gets onto the global charts as far as the top 50 he'll be able to help out that metric but
as of right now he is doing a phenomenal job on putting on a great representation of high quality
independent acts so that being said if you just want to know more about easy kid he's
He's a 30-year-old Chilean artist from Antofagasta.
I think that's how you said.
And he began making Latin trap and with KSWAD and went solo in 2017.
And then he shifted to regatone with his 2021 EP plus XQA,
later blending alt-trap and synth pop on 23's S-SoryN-Mi-Darkera.
I think I said that right.
So with him specifically, because that's why I wanted to focus on for this segment, because it's my first time I'm ever covering this artist.
The thing I appreciate the most is not only how he blends video game references, but also delivers high quality music.
Because sometimes when you have video game references is seen as corny and not as infectious as, you know, the regular subjects is always throwing around in music.
But of course, him incorporating video game references in such an organic way, while also you know,
keeping it more of a alluring type flow vocal flow i think that's his specialty and of course i've
listened to his track shiny i enjoyed that track and of course i'm i'm looking forward to dive in
even more and to his offerings because of my new enlightenment to his love for putting video game
references into his music so that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my
social media what do you think about easy kid and his latest track shiny which is currently
the 17th most played track in mexico and at the end of the day will you be willing to give this
chilean artist a listen
