Right, to celebrate my album release, I'm going to do a pub crawl, go in random bars and drinks are on me for the next six hours.
Let's go!
We're in the first bar.
I'm on the first drink.
I have got everyone a drink in the bar.
I do want to say, make sure to follow my analytic dreams video podcast on Spotify to be able to see the video elements along with the audio elements.
And with that being said, let's let Mr. Sharon finish.
to the fucking place where people want to go for it.
Right, we've got an hour and a half to make this bar jumping.
When it comes to publicity, this is a great marketing strategy.
We started out the place, they weren't feeling it.
The next place weren't feeling it either.
We got on a subway.
and then here we are.
I'm very drunk right now.
Very drunk, but yeah,
all-in variations out right now.
So as he said,
obviously, it's a very interesting
and on-brand marketing strategy
as far as hopping from bar to bar
like he's a college frat student.
So Ed Scher, if you don't know,
has released a new album titled Autumn Variations.
And this is a very interesting project
because usually,
to he would put out music under a major label so warner music is what he put the deluxe out well the
subtraction album with then you had you had warner again and i believe he was under a different
major label in the past let me see i want to go back too far so all of these are saying asylum
records uk a warner music uk company from warner
bro or Warner music so the reason I'm saying that right because oh here it is so a beautiful game by
Ed's Sharon was also released under Warner so I guess he's been under Warner I don't know why I was
thinking of Universal Music Group so Warner's also one of the major players in the music industry
but now that he's releasing this on his own merit this marketing strategy of course makes sense
of going out and promoting because if you don't know fighting against the
machines when it comes to streams is not the best idea because this game is smoking mirrors
and major labels are the magicians one of the best magicians in the game so they can fake streams
quote unquote obviously you have to have some type of solid fan base but when you're
completely independent these are the things you have to do
as far as getting your fans to listen to your music because at the end of the day,
they would not know otherwise that you just release,
even if you're as big as Ed Scherner, who is currently top five on Spotify,
with a total of basically 75 million monthly listeners.
So I'll say that to say this.
I'm not expecting this album to sell the greatest, but with his track record,
The album cover tells me that he's going in a different direction.
Y'all know if you are Ed Scherner fans that this man loves to put out album covers that resembles a high school teacher, right?
So nowadays, when he's switching it up to have literal random images on his cover album, I mean, I see old coats, moments of sadness, good news, like a
If y'all don't believe me, hold on, let me bring this up.
So basically, this is his album cover right here.
So this is his man's album cover.
It's kind of blurry, but of course, you get the gist of it.
Just a bunch of random images instead of the usual subtraction or the addition or multiplication
or what was the other one?
Division.
Yeah, I think division.
And basically, all the simple.
right but now he has a bunch of random symbols that don't really correlate like the math symbols and stuff so
what i'm getting at is this is a whole new direction for ed shuren and it's very interesting how he's
doing this under his own label gingerbread man records literally that's what it's called you have to look it up to believe it so um this album of course
follows his previous release and subtract, which reached number two on Billboard 200 chart earlier
in the year. So this is a very interesting play to put this out after that because obviously
you're going to get compared to what you did. Like music industry is very much a game of what
has you done for me lately and for subtract to do the numbers that it did. And for this album to
probably not even reach even close to those type of sales, which is okay, but we still have to
acknowledge it. A lot of people may look like or may perceive or get the notion that Ed Shearn
is not as big or that he may be falling off, which I'm not saying he is, but whenever you go
independent, it's going to give that perspective because no major label wants you to leave
them and they have the same success because then it's like, what do you need a label for, you know?
So I'm not really going to this or covering this looking for sales.
I will report on it, of course, because it's analytic dreams.
But I honestly believe that at the end of the day, Ed Shearing consistently puts out quality music and this album will be no different.
He gets into some very personal things, one of them about his marriage and his marital issues.
So, yeah, he's getting into very personal.
very personal things on some of these tracks and very has a lot of emotional depth and that's just
something you come to expect of when you listen to ed shirn so anyways click my link to my bio
let me know one of my social medias what do you think about ed sharon dropping this new album titled
autumn variations and will you be given to listen and if you have what is your favorite track
