Starting point is 00:00:03 When talking about the female artist of the year, as far as this particular artist, Ella Langley, we have to talk about how I've covered her in the past as far as Ella Langley and Riley Green with their track, you look like you love me as far as that particular track, climbing all the way to the 53 most played track in the world on Billboard Hot 100, back when it came out around June 21st, 2023. Fast forward to when weren't for the wind came out as far as 2024, well, October 4th, 2020. It is currently the 39th most play track in the world as far as it being 12 weeks on the Billboard top 100.
Starting point is 00:00:52 And that's a humongous accomplishment, especially being in the country genre. There's a lot of different country artists just going crazy. far as on the billboard charts like it's too many to count at this point as far as from riley green as far as from ella langley of course you have your morgan wallins of the world you have your exact tops of the world uh you have your should i say shabuzzi um you have your who else it's i think bailey zimmerman he's in that country genre i believe safe to say there's a lot of country artists going crazy on the charts but when it comes to ella langley and her just being do uh doing this uh music thing for quite some time. She has a phenomenal track that's going crazy on the
Starting point is 00:01:38 charts to the point where when you look at it and you see that she started in 2021, I'm not saying that's not a long road to success, but definitely on the shortest scale when you look at artists in totality. So she definitely had a great debut album as far as when Hungover came out. And that was specifically titled a debut album, but I believe was actually her. her first album no so excuse the mess was officially her first album on dsps that was under saw god record slash columbia right 2024 she put out an album title still hung over but the reason why they may be calling it her debut album is maybe because of like contractually this is her debut album but on dsps it's her second album so uh if you just wanted to check that out it's on dsps but as far as
Starting point is 00:02:29 weren't for the win and it just being one of the more premier tracks or one of one of the more premier country tracks currently in the world um it came out october 4th 2024 of course when it came to the radio airplay it helped out as far as the country uh countryside of things really promoting this track the writers is of course ellie langley along with johnny clauson and joey beth taylor almost uh i thought it was a different tale i like hold up now don't she covered sports i'll just let me chill all right so also with um ella langley she does a lot of mid tempo track uh mid tempo as far as in throughout her music and weren't for the win is no different as it's inspired by wyoming's open landscapes and metaphor of when symbolizes langley's career
Starting point is 00:03:18 driven independence and when it comes to a music video that was also co-directed by langley and the visuals was basically leaving love behind for music talk about most of top facet as far as being in the writing room being one of the directors as far as the music video now well now yeah nowadays uh some artists you know they really are hands off with the musical creation process and i think it's just refreshing to see an artist so hands-on as far as being in the director side of things being in the writing room actually having an input and effect as far as how a track comes together because a lot of artists nowadays are comfortable with being a ventriloquist.
Starting point is 00:04:03 So I think that's undermining the ultimate craft. So that's why I'm glad that Ellie Langley is actually taken more into a hands as far as being more multifaceted than the average artist. So that reflects in the cells as far as this particular track weren't for the win. That reflects in her awards as far as being recognized as a new female artist of the year back in April 25th of this year. Of course, she was presented and it was a surprise announcement. by Miranda Lambert via the video at Rock the Country back in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:04:36 She had, of course, a reaction that went viral on TikTok of Langley holding her first ever A-CM trophy. So she definitely was very appreciative as she gave a quote saying, literally everything I've ever done was to be able to do this. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop. Like, what's going to lie, as far as being very appreciative, as far as receiving an award, I think that's one of the greater quotes you can have as far showcasing your appreciation for a award show.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Because some artists, let's just say, they can care less. So it's really, once again, refreshing to see an artist being so appreciative of awards that she's given because of her musical craft. And also when it comes to that, she also had a lot of nominations as far as at the ACM Awards to the point where she was the most nominated artist out of any artists in this year. as she was in the female artist of the year category. She was in the single of the year category with her track, You Look Like You Love Me, which I already talked about how I covered that in the past. When I covered that? I covered that back in July 12, 2024.
Starting point is 00:05:42 So of course, this year, she's starting to receive her awards for that, or just nominations in general. Song of the Year, she received that as an artist and songwriter. We're just talking about nominations. She was nominated for music event of the year and also nominated for visual media of the year as artist and director. So when it comes to the masses, it definitely showcases how Ella has a notorious mass effect to the point where now her track is still on the charts
Starting point is 00:06:11 as far as weren't for the win, being the 39th most played track in the world. As far as the estimated projections for this particular track, it's set to be, it's actually set to hold the 39th position, which is interesting. So that just showcases her foundation and them coming out in droves to support her. track and ultimately her just being one of the more phenomenal artists in the country landscape so
Starting point is 00:06:34 that being said click my link sharing my bio let me know one of my social medias have you heard ella langley's album still hunk over and more importantly as far as the more popular track that she has out currently have you heard have you heard weren't for the win by ella langley
