Now, of course, you probably already know that Eminem is dropping a new album titled The Death of Slim Shady that's coming out July 12, 2024.
But the biggest thing that I wanted to point out is the track listing because this is a 19 track offering as far as a project.
And recently, I would say that Eminem had interesting marketing tactics and themes to go along with this whole death of his alter ego,
at A Slim Shady and how he had a trailer featuring a graveyard setting and hinting at the revival
of Slim Shady. It's very poetic if I do say so myself, but that's not what I wanted to focus on.
For this particular segment, I wanted to focus on the track listing because 19 tracks is a lot.
So, of course, I have the official track listing. I have it up right here for Analytic Dreams video
on Spotify if you want to see the video along with the audio. But basically, we have Renaissance,
habits trouble brand new dance evil all you got which is basically a skits I don't know
if that counts as a track you know so all you got Lucifer Antichrist Fuel Road
Rage Houdini breaking news which is another skit two skits in this album which
kind of sets up the whole theatrical feel of the
this entire body of work especially with the marketing campaign i mean if that man dressing up as a
sidekick scaling a whole entire building didn't tell you that this is going to be theatrics all
all over again then i don't know what uh what would i don't know what would basically so
that's interesting because who would be batman in that video because the whole time eminel was
prancing around as robin with dr draby
Batman. Anyways, let's keep going. All right. So the second skit is, what was it? What was it? Breaking
News skit. That was 12. Okay. Guilty Conscience 2. Head honcho, which I think that track is about.
Imagine if it's just about a girl who's just, I'll lose you. All right. Temporary. Featron
Skylar Gray. I think I've heard of her before, but I'm not sure. I think Skylar Gray is one of those
artist to where lyricists use her for the chorus which is nothing wrong with it like my opinion
on choruses is if you're a rapper if you're like a lyricist like an mc it's okay to have other people
do your chorus like if you just want to focus on giving you bar after bar triple entendre triple
entendre then it's okay to have maybe an r&B singer uh lullaby or give a lullaby during the chorus right
because he's just going to keep rapping over and over and they might as well make it a siper
because sometimes emcees and this is one thing i've kept noticing i'm going to get back to a track list
but this one thing i kept noticing with rappers sometimes when it comes to rapping lyrics and the way
you put them together is it comes very naturally but as far as the chorus which focuses more on
the sonics and sonically being pleasing and a repetitive ability of their
chorus lyricists slash emcees have a hard time nailing what a great chorus sounds like that is something
i've consistently came across which is why drake is one of my favorite artists honestly because i think
he's the i'm not going to say the first rapper because that's a little crazy but he's the best rapper
to ever nail down the the rapping emce in the chorus i would say Kanye but once i found out that he
really doesn't do anything when it comes to rapping like as far as writing none of that i mean
you say it's hypocritical as a drake fan but biances he did off of her renaissance album was written by
drake so drake is written for a premier artist like bionc but y'all want me to think that he
doesn't have a premier pin so anyways um conier doesn't write anything so that's why the whole he fell
off as far as the duality of being a rapper rapper rapper
and being a chorus, which is a.k.a. a hipmaker comes from the chorus. Hope people know that. It's really not too much about the verse. I mean, the verse can't be atrocious. But as long as the chorus is catchy, sonically pleasing, and high quality as far as replay value, and you already have, you're already 80% there, right? And don't even add a sample to it all you're out of here. So anyways, let's get back to the track list. So bad one.
which is track 16 featuring white gold maybe one of those tracks again where you have somebody
do the chorus maybe I don't know I'm just guessing track number 17 which is already out the second
single which is Toby by Eminem Big Sean and Baby Tron track number 18 guess who's back
which is another yet another skit this is a total of three skits on this project definitely
going to be a theatrical type of release and then the final track
to end off the theatrics the final track off of this album is guess what somebody saved me
if somebody say me ain't the most dramatic way to end the album i don't know what it is so anyways
that is a track list for the upcoming album the death of slim shady that's coming out july 12th
24 basically at midnight so with that being said make sure to click my link tree in my bio let me know
on one of my social medias what do you think about eminem's rollout up to this album the death of
slim shady and based on the track listing which track stands out the most to you
