Starting point is 00:00:03 Why in the world is everybody saying that Eminem diss Kendrick Lamar on brand new dance? Actually, it was the track Renaissance. But still, the statement, the sentiment stands. Why is everybody saying Eminem was dissing Kendrick Lamar? Well, people are quoting Eminem saying Kendrick's album was cool, but it didn't have any bangers. But of course, like most media out here, they leave out all the context in the world to put it in the acceptable uh in this actual light and instead run with certain narratives so that's what i'm here for the actual context behind him coming at certain rappers and talking about them falling off
Starting point is 00:00:53 or things of that nature is prefaced by now just travel inside the mind of a hater because i don't see no fans all i see is a bunch of complainers kendrick's album was but it didn't have any bangers wayne's album a yeas couldn't tell you which one was lamer joiner's album was corny shady's new expeditive is way worse i say expeditive because it's pggy podcast but basically that's the context so he's talking from the mind of a hater he's not actually saying kens your album was cool but didn't have any bangers it's um very important to listen to the album for yourself and don't listen to the narratives out there because I'm not saying Eminem couldn't go against Kendrick in the rap battle but
Starting point is 00:01:48 I believe they're on the same accord I mean they're both mentored heavily by Dr. Dre he will never allow that to happen right so this album is a lot of conceptual things put together to make a project and the wording is very very masterful. It's a masterclass on how to rap, which is why Eminem is in my top ten of the greatest rappers of all time. I think honestly, Eminem sounding like vintage Slim Shady with the album being entitled The Death of Slim Shady is an accomplishment to itself because track for a brand new dance is very interesting because it seems like Eminem's trying to get into his hit bag
Starting point is 00:02:49 he's trying to get Eminem I don't know why my mic just fell what up Eminem is trying to get into his hitmaker bag and boy is it cringe worthy so that's why I talk about the conceptual stuff because this particular track brand new dance which is set up to be a dancing track who would have thunk
Starting point is 00:03:11 and I'm just convinced that this is an old song like there's just no way brand new dance is just something that Eminem thought of in 2024
Starting point is 00:03:24 it's just no way there's just no way he thought this chorus I mean clap your hands stomped your feet everybody joined together can you feel
Starting point is 00:03:34 the funky beat like who is this rapping Ice spice like come on Eminem you could do way better than that so brand new new dance is one of my least favorite tracks off of the album the beat is serviceable the chorus is atrocious the verses is always like always on point rap rapping i don't even know if eminem's
Starting point is 00:03:57 capable of putting out a bad verse when it comes to rapping so the chorus um is something i highlight because sometimes emcees have a hard time making catchy uh sonically pleasing type choruses uh type choruses because of them focusing on triple entendre's again and again and again over and over you know it gets into the point where they're trying to get off the most clever thing possible not incorporating the sonics into it which is why drake is still my favorite rapper ever so anyways you knew i was going to get that drake praise in there but um at the end of day who dini is currently the 16th most played track in the world Toby is the number 95th most play track in the world is probably going to have even more
Starting point is 00:04:43 even a more of a boost with this album being out as far as the analytical performers off of the album I do not think brand new dance is going to be one of them so anyways click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media is what do you think of brand new dance which is track four off of the death of slim shady and do you think is fire or trash or trash.
