Diving into everybody's favorite white rapper in the game of hip hop
Eminem we have to talk about his latest track everybody's looking at me because when it
comes to that it's originally from the Eminem show sessions back in 2002 but ultimately
it's attached to his movie stands that was in theaters from August 7 to August 10th
now you know with my name analytic dreams we have to get into the
analytical perspective of the specific movie because of course when it comes to the box office numbers
is hard to quantify with a week long run but the reason for that is because it qualifies for awards
because it ran in the in the movie theaters right so i think they prioritize that over a mass commercial
success because for comparison the m&m's earlier film eight mile in 2002 gross
over $51 million in this opening weekend but of course everybody knows what that movie
means to hip-hop fans and just regular fans of just music as far as after the fact how it just
blossomed in popularity so anyways in ukk in ireland they did say that the movie grossed
approximately a hundred sixty three thousand dollars so in the uk in ireland and this opening weekend uh
it grossed 352,000 pounds but in Australia and New Zealand it earned approximately 163,000
dollars but as far as the US really can't pinpoint it because of course um the numbers
doesn't really match up as far as it being now only for a week it was in 1600 theaters
but of course only a week long run at AMC is very interesting so with that being said
getting back into the track everybody's looking at me this long lost
track as far as it being rumored in fan
forums for 20 plus years
is finally on DSPs
as is based on Eminem's Funkmaster
Flex freestyle back in
2002 in the summer
borrows for elements from the Kiss
skit on the Eminem show
and then of course a lot of people
was talking about how it was shelved
as far as making the album
for that particular year
so now that it's back out on
DSPs it makes sense as Eminem
is the most successful
hip-hop artists of all time.
So that being said,
putting out unreleased music,
safe to say people are going to listen to it.
And when you look at the official soundtrack,
there's also tracks like Stan,
The Real Slim Shady,
Lose Yourself, Not Afraid,
without me, basically going along
with the documentary.
Because if you don't know,
if you was one that currently watching now,
that is out of theaters,
it's at Paramount Plus.
As far as the streaming platform,
it was directed by Stephen Leckart.
Lek art, I think that's it said.
And then the narrator slash producer is, of course,
the great white hope of hip hop himself.
So it focuses on the origin of the word stand
from the M&M's 2000 single.
It's an evolution of stand as a global term for obsessive fans.
And of course, examines fandom culture
and Eminem's cultural footprint.
So for people thinking about what has Eminem been up to,
well, that's exactly what he's been up to,
making a documentary about stands and when it comes to the content of the documentary it mixes a lot of
archival footage plus new interviews so m&l fans are going to eat it up and of course having
notorious figures in the music industry like a dr dr jane and others popping up throughout his
documentary definitely adds another level of quality to it so with m&l being 52 putting out this
type of documentary basically in captivating the best scene
selling artists ever in hip hop is definitely a must see and a much watch for people who are
fans of music, not only hip hop, but just music in general. Because being a cultural icon in the
game that is a lot of smoke and mirrors, but then you ultimately rise to the top as somebody
who's white and hip hop, that just has to be studied in the history books. Because how
in the world did people let that happen so anyways um with that being said the everybody looking
at me track is the main thing that i wanted to get into because of course that just released today
and with that being alongside the documentary a lot of people are going to be diving into the
documentary for the first time because they probably don't even know and hey that's what this is
for so ultimately uh just know that the stand official soundtrack is of course available on all
it's on Paramount Plus that is streaming right now.
So if that be said, click my link, sure you in my bio,
let me know one of my social medias.
What do you think about the stand documentary if you watched it?
And also, what do you think about the unreleased track
that has now been put on DSPs?
Everybody's looking at me.
