One of the greatest rappers of all time.
Now, for a lot of people, this may be who they considered the best rapper of all time.
But of course, for majority of hip-hop fans, and I mean real hip-hop fans,
as far as the best rapper, that title either belongs to a J-Z, a notorious, a Tupac.
of course for the new age fans some people would throw Drake in there but as far as the
evolution and growth and matching that with the audio content i think Drake still has some room
to showcase um he has some room to grow in that area basically and for Eminem that is exactly
what he's great at is capturing his life and lyrics in a way that's intricate
The whole perspective that he's giving about his life through words has allowed him to become one of the greatest rappers of all time.
Because I don't know if y'all know, but Eminem is white.
So I don't know if that's surprising fact to anybody.
So when you're in hip hop, there's a lot of things you have to do.
to showcase that you belong in hip hop when you are a white rapper.
It's like the opposite of trying to get into NASCAR.
So with that being said, Eminem has showcased a supreme ability to put words together,
which is why, and also, let's not forget, his upbringing was around the roots of battle rap
and he gained his he made his rise to fame through the roots of back and forth battle rapping right so now when you come to the globalized scale of rapping when it comes to a via dr dr dr
and then one of the best-selling albums as far as the m&m show as far as the fastest selling rap rap
rap album, which is the Marshall Mathers LP, which sold 1.7 million copies in the first week,
making him the fastest selling rapper.
And then consistently charting the tops, charting the tops, what in the world?
Consistently topping the charts, my fault. I can't talk, apparently.
Eminem debuted number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart.
with non-success of solo releases.
I mean, I believe Drake just surpassed him as far as the overall numbers when it comes to Spotify streams.
I was trying to find it.
Yeah, the most stream rappers, Drake finally surpassed M&M.
And the whole list is very interesting.
I mean, the top five stream rappers as far as streaming.
So it's DSPs like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.
not other stuff like sound clouds but really none of that stuff so not no disrespect to those platforms
of course but i'm just letting you know the top five most stream rappers is drake m&m juice world
Travis scy and conya west juice world was the one that threw me all the way off i was like that
is insane because he passed away in 2019 but consistently has a strong presence on spotify year after year
after year. That is what you call
timeless music. But, you know, let me get back to this. So Eminem
is one of the greatest rappers of all time. As far as my particular list,
he's in my top 10, probably at number 6 or 7. Actually, I do have a
top 10. And I think he's, I mean, I know he's not in my
top 5, but as far as
top 10, I mean, he would have to be in it, I believe.
Let me see. Ah, my list.
All right, I found my list.
So, number one, of course, is Jay-Z.
Let's not be disrespectful.
Number two is Kendrick Lamar.
Number three is notorious B-I-G, of course.
Number four is Tupac.
Number five is my personal goat, which is Drake.
Number six is Little Wayne.
Number seven is Nas, Nazir.
Now, whatever you want to call them.
Number eight is Eminem.
Number nine is Nikki Minaj.
I've been battling with number 10 because once Andre 3,000 said he couldn't rap at his old age,
that didn't sit right with my soul.
Not when Black Thought is still alive and well and earning Grammys with his rapping ability.
That just didn't sit right with my soul.
It's almost like Andre 3000 just shot his legacy with that statement as far as talking about.
He don't know what to rap about.
Rapping is about condensing your life experiences into verses.
and life experiences don't stop at a certain age unless you pass away unfortunately right but
as far as living like it's always life experiences maybe you don't want to rap about it but it's
definitely something to rap about so i don't know i'm battling with that number 10 i may have to
change andy 3 000 for something else because the consistency's not there obviously the flu album is
just atrocious ridiculous a mockery um so yeah i don't know who else i'll put there but
I know Jermaine fans are just screaming at their phones right now,
but I don't have to think about it.
I ain't gonna lie.
I'll probably put like Rakem or something like there
because forget Jermaine.
Anyways, back to M&M.
I don't know how we got on that tangent.
Oh, yeah.
M&M's, so Eminem is one of my favorite rappers of all time.
But as far as listening to a whole body of work, it's hard.
It's definitely hard.
I'm not going to compare it to go into church
or, you know, doing homework.
But it's definitely something you have to pay attention to.
Because the intricate bars, the level of mastery achieved as far as putting words together,
it's, you have to spend a good amount of time listening to it to actually dissect and decipher what in the world this man is saying.
So it's a chore.
It's definitely a chore.
but sometimes once you do that chore it becomes easier and then over time over time it just becomes
something you can play in the background so of course for the death of slum shady we're all starting at ground
zero so y'all get ready for july 12th 2024 to be ground zero of the um of an experience let's just say that
because i definitely think he has a pretty consistent theme that he's been going with for this album
and I can't wait to hear even more of it when it drops at midnight.
So with that being said, click my link to your bio.
Let me know one of my social media is.
What do you think about Eminem's rollout as far as just being one of the greatest rappers of all time
and going with this death of this alter ego, Slim Shady?
What do you think of that?
And what are you most looking forward to when this album eventually releases?
