Starting point is 00:00:00 I would be remiss to not point out the fact that one of the greatest white hopes in music industry, Taylor Swift, just sold $1.5 million first week. I'll prefer, I got to make sure I get the album name right. I don't want the Swifties to come after me. Her 1989 album, Taylor's version. So it's a re-rendition of a 2013 album, right? And not even a week after, Eminem has announced an expanded edition of his 2013 solo studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP2. Now I'm not saying he's copying Taylor Swift.
Starting point is 00:00:51 You know, I'm not saying that he's seen Taylor Swift boosting the U.S. economy going to an NFL game. And then all of a sudden becoming the commissioner because everything that she did was just seeming like she owned the NFL at that point. Putting out two re-recordings this year and had two of the top first week sales. Like she has number one with 1989 selling $1.5 million. And then she has number two this year with Speak Now. No, that's not Speak Now, with Midnights. And I forget how much that sold first week.
Starting point is 00:01:28 basically way more than anybody else. So the other great white hope, which is M&L, probably saw that. His team probably nudged him a little bit, and they was like, hey, you know you can do that too, right? You know that you got that same type of audience, right? You know, you got the same type of demographic. All right, let me chill.
Starting point is 00:01:49 So basically, y'all know what I'm saying. M&M saw Taylor Swift eating off of re-recording and re-releasing her own music. So guess what? now we have a M&M album from 2013 being quote unquote expanded
Starting point is 00:02:05 for the Marshall Mathers LP2 what do they say if it waters like a duck if it quacks like a duck that it's probably a dog now just like I'm just not just like I'm just I'm just y'all. So basically y'all good I'm saying so M&M saw the blueprint just laid out for him
Starting point is 00:02:25 by none other than at this point, the king slash queen of just music, Taylor Swift, and he was like, let me try that with my audience. Do I think he's going to have the same effect as Taylor Swift had? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. Now, if he doesn't release vinyl
Starting point is 00:02:45 along with it, where I don't see him having vinals with this album, I don't think it's going to do near to what Taylor Swift did. Now, if you do need it, know way back in the day in the 60s when uh m&m actually put this album out now let me stop playing y'all like that was only 10 years ago all right so in 2013 when m&m put this album out he sold 792 000 copies first week earning m&M a grammy for best rap album so this expanded edition of the album will be available for streaming i don't know about the vinals or physicals that's
Starting point is 00:03:22 where taylor swift put the extra effort in she had vinals, different colors of vials. She had packaging. She had all type of source of content. Then when you pay for the vinyl, that outrageous price, but whatever, if you pay for it, you got a lot of signed vinals or signed photographs, you know, just a lot of stuff that's personal that a Swifty will feel like they got their money's worth. For him and them, it just seems like he's putting this out.
Starting point is 00:03:49 So I don't see this coming anywhere near to what the original Marshall Mathers LP did. you don't know, Taylor Swift, with 1989, sold more than she sold in 2013. So I'm for sure, I'm for certain that the Marshall Mathers LP2, it's not going to sell more than what it did back in 2013. $792,000 is not going to happen in the modern day for M&L. And if I'm wrong, guess what? I guess I'll come on here and apologize, but for the most part, I'm pretty sure that I'm on a nose with it as Eminem seems like he just saw Taylor Swift having immense success
Starting point is 00:04:30 and just is trying to duplicate it and I don't think it's going to end up I don't think it's going to end the way that he think it does but I think it will So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio let me know in one of my social medias Are you looking forward to the expanded edition of 2013 solo studio album, the Marshall Mathers LP2
Starting point is 00:04:52 and when you'd be giving it a listen at midnight.
