Starting point is 00:00:04 I've been back into k-pop you have to realize that of course when it comes to the artists as a band that we're about to get into well not a band well yeah it's technically a boy band i like to say group i guess there's a bunch of titles but of course when it comes to k-pop they seem to be filled with boy bands that impact the masses but of course for this specific segment we are not getting it to bt s because of course i have a lot of coverage of btas german V. Who else? That missed anybody?
Starting point is 00:00:39 Jimmin v. Cook. Well, Junkuk. And then, of course, that said Jimin? Already said Jimin. Anyways, y'all get the point. So N-hyphen, that's what we're getting into. They as, surprisingly, they have the third most popular album in the world with their album, Desire Unleash.
Starting point is 00:01:01 So that came out June 5th of this year and of course is eight tracks and 20 minutes under B-Lift Lab music industry. So when it comes to BTS, right, a lot of people are wondering when are they going to come back? Because we're in hyphen going crazy on the charts. One could only imagine the type of competition that's going on amongst these two music industries as far as being. hit entertainment and belift lab which n hyphen is under so if you don't know bt s managed by big hit of course and then you have n hyphen which is a separate group they are um let me see so i actually had it up in a win away don't you love when technology does that anyways so when we're getting it to the blift lab that music label is also
Starting point is 00:02:02 focusing on K-pop musician but more specifically is the South Korea music label founded in 2018 in a joint venture between Hybe Corporation and C-J-E-N-M so when it comes to Big Hit that's a separate Hives Ciderary
Starting point is 00:02:18 and B-LIF founded in 2018 is also a hybe-sacitorate so the main thing I want to let y'all know is that this is a battle of the labels. I mean, Big Hit has their monumental boy band
Starting point is 00:02:35 and BTS, but now it seems as if, what not seems as if is official, N-Hyphen currently has the third most popular album in the world. And that title used to be held by SZA with SOS. But of course,
Starting point is 00:02:50 you have Addison Ray with the fourth most popular album. You have N-hyphen with Desire and Unleash. You have Little Wayne with the second most popular album and then you have Morgan Wall and of course just putting BTA on the whole music industry
Starting point is 00:03:06 so of course getting back at the end hyphen right and if you don't know if you knew just know I covered the entire music industry so I've covered every single artist I just talked about so that being said I haven't covered N hyphen so let's dive specifically into them
Starting point is 00:03:21 because when I looked at the single charts I didn't see anything that stood out as far as front the specific album so i'm kind of wondering how was the third most played album but of course if you don't know they do have a mainstream presence and that includes their cochella 2025 debut because if you get invited to cochella safe to say that's not just for no reason so giving you a little background to n hyphen it's a seven-member k-pop boy band formed via survival show island jointly by Hybe and C-J-E-N-M.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Where have we heard that before? I mean, if America got talent moved to South Korea, we base... Okay, y'all get the point, right? So anyways, they found the members throughout N-Hifin, such as Jung-Wan, he sung,
Starting point is 00:04:13 Jay, Jake, sung-Hoon, Sung-N-N-N-N-N-E-K-E, and Nike, or Nikki, is one of them. It's N-I-K-I. So I think it's Nick Key. But anyways, so, as you can tell, these particular individuals came together
Starting point is 00:04:30 and put out a smash hit as far as an album. And of course, this is their six mini albums. So they've been around for quite some time to the point where if you go to their discography and you see that they've been putting out music since 2021, they've been putting in quite some, they've been putting in quite some time as far as trying to cultivate a smash hit
Starting point is 00:04:54 as far as a mini album. And now they've seemingly found that metric and hit that mark with their album, Desire, Unleash. So anyways, with this album, they have Flashover, which is a mid tempo opener. Of course, they have Bad Desire with or Without You, which is the lead single. And of course, they have Outside, which is a hip-hop influence track. They have Loose, which is more of a Korean and English mix of a track as far as the different versions but it's more of a bouncy club type atmosphere and of course you have helium which is more of the dark uh uh genre as far as featuring a lot of guitars and songwriter by the by the member jay and of course
Starting point is 00:05:41 the closing track is too close which is more of a jazzy ballad so of course the produced Grammy winner surcutt worked on uh worked on this album and if you don't know he as far as a very uh positive renowned producer. Sercut also worked with Katie Perry and Lady Gaga. So when it comes to in hyphen putting up phenomenal numbers, let's just say this didn't come out of nowhere. And of course, the reason why I went over their discography is because I wanted to just make people hesitant on calling them an industry plan because they've been putting in the effort since 2021. Ladies and gentlemen, in 2025, that is a long time because of course we've seen some people that are blatantly called out as being an industry plan coming out with one.
Starting point is 00:06:25 single in the same year and now it's top 10 um if you wanted to know specifically who i'm talking about because i don't mind mentioning names cats eye gnarly is the group that i just wholeheartedly believe that they have a lot of uh industry plant type of vibes going on with their group especially the way that they just came out and completely affected the masses uh under a huge music label out the gate usually when you get signed you know it may take a little bit to get your music off of the ground. So there's some type of incentive there to get them pop in as far as the cat's eye group. And that's also in the K-pop region.
Starting point is 00:07:04 So anyways, getting back to N-hyphen, this seems completely organic. And they've been working at this from quite some times because having six many albums, it gives your fans already something of a nostalgic-like factor because they already know what to expect. It's like if Drake Future, Lil Wayne puts out an album, you kind of already know what you're going get they may mix up a couple tracks but for the most part you already know what you're going to get so that's what i want to get into of course for the huge and hyphen fans out there just know that their tour world tour walk the line that's happening august 6th 2025 at the ubs arena belmont park and new york
Starting point is 00:07:44 but of course the key stops are chicago houston and los angeles so when it comes to that the European leg of the tour includes arenas in the O2 arena in London in August 22nd, the Manchester in August 25th, Amsterdam and August 28th. Y'all get the point. They're going around the world and essentially speaking it starts August 6th. So definitely look out for, well, definitely follow them on social medias and make sure to get those tickets if you're a huge and hyphen fan to see them in person because now they could really come out and say that they, because you never know what the foreseeable future holds, but as of right now, nobody can ever take away the fact that they had the third most popular album in the world with Desire
Starting point is 00:08:30 Unleash. So that be it said, click my link to your in my bio. Let me know on one of my social media is. What do you think about in hyphen in the latest album, Desire and Unleash? And if you haven't checked them out yet, will you be more inclined to give them a listen?
