Starting point is 00:01:08 Now, at first glance, I was saying to myself, this sounds awfully familiar to somebody we've covered before. And of course, over here at notorious Mass Effect, we cover the entire gaming and music industry when it comes to gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses. So when it comes to Yvonne, who we're getting into for this specific segment, I realized that June 20th, 2025, we covered in hypen with their specific track, bad desire, and parentheses with or without you. And come to find out. Of course, Yvonne used to be a part of that group.
Starting point is 00:01:46 So that's why I was saying to myself, hold up now. You guys. What happened? And you know, we don't do drama over here. But I will say he just put out a track titled Ride or Die. And that man may have to stay solo. I kid you not. It's fire.
Starting point is 00:02:02 And you already know when I cover overseas acts. And particularly, if I can't understand the language, like, of course, if I'm speaking another language that I can't understand, usually I'm listening for, is it sonically pleasing the structure of the track? Because you can easily tell where's the chorus, where's the verses going, things that nature. Well, if you listen to enough music. But when it comes to Yvonne, specifically, he sings in Chinese. and he sings in English, which is very interesting.
Starting point is 00:02:29 Because of course, when it comes to that overall bilingual aspect, I think it's phenomenal. Like, I always wonder how long it takes them to figure out how to mesh the certain Chinese language with the English language. Because, of course, I would think in a tonality side of things, it would hard to be structured. It'd be hard to structure those specific languages in the same song. But somehow, they found a way to do it because, Of course, Yvonne came out and basically said that his writing process is vastly different. I mean, when it comes to the interviews, Yvonne basically said it previously took three months to one year per song due to his perfectionism and depth. And I believe him because as of right now on his solo DSP and I currently have his IG up for people who's watching if you're not watching,
Starting point is 00:03:23 analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio but when it comes to evan the specific track right or die and then of course the overflow track is the only two tracks on evan's DSP so i believe him when he says it takes him about what he's taking he when it takes him about three months to one year per song due to perfectionism in depth and he also says as a soloist he has shown growth with more hands-on involvement as far as top line production for faster more personal output like right or die which that brings me to my other point i believe not only with this specific track being phenomenal to me personally i would probably say that and y'all know i'm a huge chris brown fan so i would probably say i don't know too many because technically this right or die
Starting point is 00:04:13 track is i think it's all rock i believe i'm trying to get it uh specifically okay it's alternative rock so i think with this specific track, it's more of a mix of Chris Brown, and I don't know any other alternative rock artists. So I'm just got to say like MGK. It's like a mix of those two artists because of course, you listen to Overflow, and I think that is, I'm not going to say straight Chris Brown, but it gives me those type of, as far as sonically, that's how it sounds because he's a great singer and the structure of the track is phenomenal. It's just a phenomenal R&B track. So he's two for two for me. You know what I'm saying? As a solo artist, this man, is batting at a thousand percent because of course when you look at going from a group to solo you
Starting point is 00:04:59 come to realize there's a lot more work involved because you're not in the midst of other artists who can put their verses on a particular song so now you only have to give like 20 to 30 second offerings on every single track now it's just you for entire two to three minutes and all of these tracks is like between two to three minutes so it's not the longest of songs but it definitely does the job especially with ride or die which currently if you don't even like put aside my personal enjoyment of the writer die track when you look at the music video it's not only does it have 11 million views in four days but also when you look at in totality as far as on youtube it's the 24th most watched video on youtube and the music video shout out the gate as far as engagement
Starting point is 00:05:45 as it went number one in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and multiple additional Asian and international markets. So, of course, I'm looking at this, basically saying to myself, hold on now, even on the South Korea charts, he, as far as the Mellon Hot 100, which is their type of charts over there, Ryder die went number five, overflow went number seven. So he's hitting at a very positive,
Starting point is 00:06:10 he's hitting at a very high rate, especially with his solo outings. So as of right now, Now, I will say I'm definitely looking forward to the album. I kid you not. I'm looking forward to the album. I think this track is phenomenal. And you already know, I mean, I give my shameless plug all the time as far as towards
Starting point is 00:06:26 the bottom of my link tree. It says like what I'm listening to. And this track is going to is already on my playlist. This track, ride or die and overflow. Once again, overflow more of an R&B type track. Rider die is more of a alternative rock type track, but I still enjoy this. So as of right now, when it comes to actual beef, I don't think. third's one but the way that yvonne said he left that he left the group like the way that he left the
Starting point is 00:06:50 group it was um i would say it was drama-esque because he basically said they had different musical visions so i'm not going to get too deep when it comes to that this is still produced by the same label as far as bellif labs because they even though they had different musical visions with the group in hyphen the music label could have dropped him as well as a solo act or they could have let him go strictly independent. But the same music label that in Hypen has is the same label, a label that Yvonne has. So as soon as he went solo, the music label signed them as a solo act.
Starting point is 00:07:26 And that's not always the case. A music group could be signed to one label. If you go independent, you can sign to whoever, because now it's just you, right? Unless you have, you know, wording in your contract that says, oh, if you go independent, you have to put out music under our label, which, you know, now that I think about it. I'm pretty sure Belliff Labs probably has that. So we'll have to see how this marketing structure goes for Yvonne. Because as you can see, this is his IG right here.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Once again, Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio because he's talking about his first digital single. He put out the writer die promo and he put out another one. I love these like three IG post type promo. I always think these are pretty cool. You know, if somebody just scrolling on a timeline and they only see one, I mean, they may be a little confused. But overall, I always like these little three IG post-type promos. But ultimately, I just want to say I personally enjoyed the track because I don't say that often when it comes to overseas acts and their actual tracks. Like the only other people I've said that way, I said that from Jenny from Black Ping.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I very like her music. BTS, they still have one of my favorite albums of the year. That track, please, off of Rory Ring. I mean, it's just one of the best tracks I've heard in 2026. I kid you not. I kid you not. So when it comes to Yvonne, he's quickly rising on the rising up the ranks as far as overseas acts that I'm going to be looking forward to as far as his next outing. And as of right now, I think he's having a phenomenal execution with the songs that he's putting out.
Starting point is 00:08:57 And I can't wait to his next one because, of course, when it comes in Hypen, they're actually coming out with an album. And I'm assuming he's not with them anymore. It's almost like a Harry Styles type beat. I'm assuming he's not with the group no more. but as a group as far as in hypen they're putting out album the sin bliss that's coming out 54 days more specifically of august 21st 2026 so when you look at yvonne i don't think any other member any other in hyphen members outside of evan is going solo so the group continues at six members with group focused activities as far as tours and comebacks so i guess evan just left
Starting point is 00:09:35 completely yeah so he's not coming back And there's no other solo, there's no other act from in Hypen that's going to leave as well. So Yvonne's definitely on the island. I kid you not. Now when it comes to the N-Hyphen album, I don't think he's going to be with them at all for that album. Let me see. Yeah, he would not be with them. So this would be the first album without him.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Yvonne's focus on his solo activities. I'll be interested to see what the trajectory is for N-Hypen and, of course, for Yvon. Because I've listened to In-Hypen before. No comment. but I've listened to Yvonne before and as you can tell throughout this entire segment I thoroughly enjoyed it so I'll be interested to see what actually
Starting point is 00:10:16 happens with Yvonne's artistic independence because I think his musical direction is completely different from the group direction and I will say personally I like his direction a lot more so as far as the other thing I don't think he's going on tour right now
Starting point is 00:10:33 I think he's basically just working on music like it's like he said himself takes three months to a year to write one song so you know as far as the writing process we'll have to see if that shortens up but when he when he says oh no no i'm tripping so he did a reveal also in that interview that now it takes it takes up to six hours for him to you know create a whole song so and you know that's definitely an improvement so as far as upcoming activities you can look forward to uh yvonne will be scheduled to perform at the bousan one asia festival in k-conn and at la
Starting point is 00:11:10 or no, it just says K-Conn L-A. I don't want to assume it's in Los Angeles, but that's a K-Con in L-8. So he stated that his priority is creating performances that leaves a strong impression on both his fans and new audience. So, best believe you. I'm part of that new audience. I kid you not, man.
Starting point is 00:11:28 So as that be it said, click my link to you in my bio to follow me on my social medias. And of course, if you're on Spotify, if you're a huge K-pop connoisseur, definitely check out Yvonne's latest track titled, Ride or Die. And if you listen to it if you've already listened to it. Let me know what's your favorite part of Yvonne as an artist or the specific track, write or write or die down below.
