Starting point is 00:00:01 You know, at first glance, I was thinking to myself, why in the world does Marvel have a music video on the YouTube channel? And then I realized that, of course, one of their characters is a whole pop star. So I guess it makes sense. So merging both of the worlds, which I love to do all the time, especially, you know, pun intended, the name of the podcast is notorious mass effect. So merging music and gaming is something I very much enjoy and is definitely in the sweet spot of things I like to cover. So when it comes to fate of both worlds, the summer remix, which is very interesting because I believe the summer's about the end, but you know, that's the point. The summer remix, I do believe this is one of the first ever music videos that Marvel has put out as far as Marvel rivals. So it's very interesting because if you look at it from an analytical standpoint, I don't know if they're rewarding people for playing the game more because it's currently the fifth.

Starting point is 00:00:59 Yeah, it's currently the fifth most play game on. Steam has a 24-hour peak of 126,000, which is phenomenal, right? But the all-time peak was six months ago. So some people will say Marvel Rivals has fallen off to that. I will say they're just basically plateauing at a very high rate. Because if you think about it, if they fell all the way off, nobody would come back. I think it's just people are taking some time off, coming back to the game. Because if you don't know, Marvel Rivals is beyond toxic.

Starting point is 00:01:27 One of the most toxic player bases you could ever hop into. I'm talking modern warfare type of toxic. Don't even let them find out that you black and you're saying something crazy. The ER is going to fly expeditiously. And of course, you can report them. So with that being said, PlayStation also has Marvel rivals as far as one of the top games. It is currently the seventh most play game on PlayStation. Yeah, let me see.

Starting point is 00:01:53 So yeah, it's the seven most play game on PlayStation. As far as Xbox is not in the top 10 and it's not on game paths, as far as top games on Game Pass. But, you know, being the seventh most play game on PlayStation, being the fifth most play game on PC, definitely, um, it takes away all the naysayers as far as people saying that the game is fell off. So with that being said,

Starting point is 00:02:14 let's hop into the music video, which is literally titled, The Fate of Both Worlds. So, um, I forget what the character's called, but as far as the pop star, she saw everything going to,

Starting point is 00:02:24 you know what, Dr. Doom taking over, uh, knoll as far as the symbiote, King taking over. Yes, I do know my Marvel. Nothing too crazy. I am a superhero stand. And she was like, let me just make a music video to have a capsule of all this craziness going on. Y'all, hey, let me talk to y'all. Y'all Marvel rivals, no, let me see, more specific. Y'all net ease developers, y'all need to go to Gunnar jail. Shepard. Just look at the state of gaming.

Starting point is 00:03:27 Like, what is going on? I look at the state of gaming, and of course, I looked at the character model, especially for the X-Men character. I forget the name. She had like, let me see, X-Men, Marvel rivals, telekinesis. I think it should pop up, or maybe Gene Gray will definitely pop up. Let's see, what's in it? Emma Frost, that's what it is.

Starting point is 00:03:53 Emma Frost, I saw the character model for Emma Frost. I said to myself, don't you know that little Timmy is playing this game and his friends? Now, there's not no mature-rated game. So these type of character models, y'all know what y'all doing. and y'all locking them behind paywalls as far as certain costumes um exacerbating if that's even the word the ultimate figure that you see for these women characters and that's all i'm going to say because you know the developers for net ease may have to go to gooner jail and that is to be you know decided by the public i just want to bring that up and let y'all do the information which you will

Starting point is 00:04:32 so anyways let's continue ne'is come on man Shepard, just look at the state of gaming. Like, what is going on? Yeah, Learro know what's going on. Y'all, y'all out here freaked out. Y'all out here freaked out. I ain't go kept you. I don't know any other way to put it in.

As a Mass Effect connoisseurs, y'all definitely agree with this. But that reminded me of when Mass Effect 2 had those OG shots of Miranda.

Starting point is 00:08:10 Like, but then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop. Like, what's going on? I'm looking at the state of Miranda and the shots that they're showcasing while she's talking. And I don't think of it to myself. You guys. See, that's the problem. Y'all know exactly what y'all doing.

Starting point is 00:08:24 But anyways, let's keep going. They even got low-key freaked out. Man, he looked like he about to have the greatest Playboy Mansion. I wonder how long it took them to put together this whole music video. Because obviously these are unique animations as far as the dancing and stuff. Except for the Spider-Man and Venom, I think that's in the game. Yeah, that twerking emo and then the Spider-Man 3 emote. I'm just gonna stop pausing that those moments because y'all already see when they're starving.

Starting point is 00:09:45 They freaked out. Like, I just don't understand. Like, do y'all want like a Bluetooth sponsorship? Like, what type of, what type of extra imagery could you not have that wasn't included in this video? Like, I mean, I feel like your main goal was to showcase to every other developer. Yeah, that brother's starving. That brother is starving because you know they're going to come out that pocket for them micro transactions when it comes to the costumes. Because this is definitely, you probably have to pay for that.
