Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for free content.
So as we gather for one final chapter, let us celebrate a tournament that brought the world
to football.
And this, this is greatness.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, that was the one and only Tom Cruise, giving an inspirational speech
while opening the FIFA World Cup final.
Now, even though who y'all consider the goat, you know what I'm saying?
Nah, because some people consider
Messy the goat. So even though he was
not able to bring home the World Cup
Championship, safe to say
congratulations to Spain.
But you already know
that this is a music slash
gaming podcast, so we have
to get into the notorious mass effect
of the FIFA
World Cup halftime
show. Yes, he heard me correctly.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
As ladies and gentlemen, let me take you down
memory lane. Are you paying attention
Make sure you're paying attention now
I think they're paying attention
All right so that being said
Ladies and gentlemen in 1994
Yes to go on all the way back
To when Jordan was hooping
So when it comes to the chair
slash CEO of the USA
World Cup
Safe to say
Alan Rothenberg
Was pushing for a Super Bowl style
Halftime show at the
Pasadena
Rose Bowl final
He specifically wanted
Whitney Houston to perform on the pitch
which was of course
heavy inspiration from the Super Bowl
and what did FIFA do
of course they vetoed it
now ladies and gentlemen
why did they veto it is because
officials cited concerns
over potential rain damaging the pitch
and the risk of installing a stage
in the center of the field
you guys
see that's the problem
but that's not it ladies and gentlemen
Rothenberg
furthered and accepted and
expounded upon his point basically saying that California's July weather made rain unlikely.
Did FIFA care?
Of course not.
As FIFA, when it came to them attending the Super Bowl 1993 halftime show, if you don't know, that's what Michael Jackson performed.
And when FIFA officials watched the concept of Michael Jackson performing a halftime for the Super Bowl, they still said.
and vetoed the idea of Whitney Houston performing at halftime.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
And this decision was because FIFA wanted to conserve the halftime entertainment,
prioritizing the pitch integrity and match the overall spectacle of soccer instead of having
quote-unquote hoopla that American culture has as far as the halftime show with stars all around.
Right?
But, of course, for the first time ever, ladies and gentlemen,
I said for the first time ever, ladies and gentlemen, FIFA has finally broke that very archaic tradition as they finally had a halftime show for the FIFA World Cup final.
And of course, when it comes to this, this is a huge deal because not only does it break tradition, because if you don't know, the World Cup has been going on for 96 years, right?
and this is the first time
ever they had a halftime show for the World Cup
Now, this was announced in May
2026, of course I thought the goat was going to be there
Is it okay? I got my dope on me?
Unfortunately, he was actually at the game,
well, not unfortunately, he was at the game,
but unfortunately, he did not perform
as we have all type of pictures and videos,
ladies and gentlemen, so analytic dreams video
on Spotify to see the video along with the IDO.
Now, I can't keep this up too much
because I do not want FIFA to snipe me,
so I'm gonna put this up and I'm gonna take it down.
So here's the goat.
Here's the girl.
right there you can see him all right let's take him away so with that being said Drake was at the
event is it okay I got my dope on me but unfortunately he did not perform so when they continue when you
continue who was at the event they had all type of performance from Madonna BTS BTS Justin Bieber
Shakira Burn a boy Coldplay PS22 chorus I don't know who that is Gustavo do Dommel I don't know who that is
in New York who in the actual but what is that no hold him now no
How you pronounce that, man?
No, I ain't no way.
I ain't no way that's a word.
New York Philharmonic.
See?
Come on, man.
What we doing?
What we're doing, man?
Y'all trying to trip me up on purpose.
New York Philharmonic.
So anyways, you probably didn't hear a name, ladies and gentlemen.
But he was actually performing at the game.
So I Show Speed did perform.
Shout out to I Show Speed.
One of the pioneers of content creation.
Well, not pioneers, but you know,
one of the leading mascots of,
content that's not that's not any better you know what I'm saying my fault I'm just trying to give him a
compliment I don't know how to word it I show speed is phenomenal let's just say it like that
so with that being said I show speed did perform but he performed in the closing ceremony
so when his uh world cup theme song champions he performed during the closing slash
pre-matched ceremony at MetLife stadium and a lot of people praise it by energy am I going to play
it of course not ladies and gentlemen I love my platform
I ain't going to throw it away for just 10 seconds of a performance.
I would play it even though it looks immaculate.
I ain't okay.
I show speed.
The cinematography was on point, especially at the start of his performance.
But he did perform during the closing slash pre-match of the ceremony.
But you know who else performed the one and only BTS.
And you know, there was somebody who had a platform, right?
And he talked about a certain group called BTS, having the biggest first week sales of the year of 2026.
You know, I just can't put my finger on it.
My fault.
I'm just saying I can't put my finger on it.
Now I'm not saying y'all should rate whatever podcast that was five stars and follow that
for gaming and music breakdowns.
But let's just say that boy be on the nose.
You know what I'm saying?
Thank you, Drew Scott.
I appreciate you.
So putting that to the side, of course, BTS shut down the show and there was a long side of
a plethora performance.
But I believe when it comes to FIFA, finally breaking the archaic rule as far as not
having a half-time performance, I think it was phenomenal, but I will have, I do have a critique.
You guys. See, that's the problem. As the masses who was at the show, they said, and currently
I have BTS up right here. Here is, who is that? I think that's Madonna. Am I tripping? I think it is
Madonna. And then, of course, you have Justin Bieber, and then you have, who else? And then you have
Shakira and Burnaboy. So as far as those pictures, I just wanted to show you who was at the show.
But getting back into my other point. So,
When it comes to the performance, a lot of people was upset over the runtime because a lot of major superstar-like acts was there that has FIFA type of songs, right?
As far as Shakira and Burnaboy, we covered that specifically.
As far as them performing the Day Day track that's doing phenomenal on the charts, mind you.
I mean, that track currently, if I can spell, that track, that track, I wasn't out on the charts anymore?
Oh, it is.
That track Day Day is currently the 55th most played track in the world, and of course I Show Speed.
He had another track that we covered, and that was the Champions track.
And of course, that's not charting because he's not like an artist.
I mean, he is artists.
But, you know, when it comes to his musical output, it does not notoriously affect the masses like his live streams does.
But the main reason why I'm saying that is because, of course, when it comes to BTS,
BTS currently has a 26 most played album in the world with Ari Rang, of course, when it first
came out they broke records having 640-something 1st-week which is still number one as far as the biggest
first week sales of 2026 but now getting into the critique as a lot of people were saying that it was way
too short to have this many performers as far as the individual runtime because a lot of the performers
probably had like two or three minutes before the next major act hopped on stage now apparently
it was expanded as far as the runtime it was 30 minutes extra time for stage set up and tear downs because
because there were so many performers.
But when it comes to the actual live performance length,
it was 11 minutes and 20 seconds.
Some say it was 11 minutes,
but basically you get the point.
So when you look at the critiques,
a lot of people were saying that it was not enough time
for individual acts, with some acts having under two minutes
of stage time.
Now, that is the problem.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
I don't know why they would adopt the Super Bowl halftime show
type of
system without actually looking at how the system is implemented.
If you're going to adopt the Super Bowl halftime performance type of structure,
where in the world have we had 10 plus performers at the Super Bowl halftime show?
Y'all let me know, right?
So obviously you can have one main act that brings out a bunch of people,
but the way that they did it, it was a lot of main acts that was performing like there was the main act.
And you just did not have, you simply did not have enough time for that.
You should have had BTS or you should have had Shakira or Justin Bieber as the main people
and let them bring out people during their performance.
But having Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Burnaboy, Coldplay, all these artists,
all at one time with only 11 minutes to actually perform is insane.
So even though they did bring, they did break the archaic tradition of not having a FIFA World Cup halftime show,
I will say that there's definitely a lot of room for improvement.
You should start with choosing one artist and then giving them the halftime show slot.
Having all those different artists, I think they were just, you know, they underestimated
how much time you would need to have all these performers on stage.
So with that being said, safe to say when it comes to the World Cup, it did fantastic,
ladies and gentlemen.
As the attendance broke records as far as 6.8 million.
total spectators across 104 matches.
The average view count was a 65,000 concurrent viewers slash max slash match in a 99.7% capacity
surpassing 1994's 3.5 million.
And another thing, when it comes to viewership, billions turned in globally as far as massive
digital reach as far as 20 billion.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, what a B, 20 billion plus video views.
and 146 billion plus social views in early phases,
which basically showcases how big FIFA is as a whole.
And of course, you already know I've got to be a Hall of Fame pocket watcher.
No, I got to be a Hall of Fame pocket watcher because when it comes to the revenue,
FIFA projected $7 to $15 billion as far as reports,
up significantly from 2022 $5.8 billion,
driven by, of course, matches as far as 48 teams, taking sponsorships, etc.
So I think when you look at the prize money record being $871 million,
you come to realize not only is FIFA World Cup a ginormous world event,
but it also rakes it a crazy amount of revenue to the point where you come to realize
why everybody in a mama tried to get on that halftime show stage, right?
So I would say objectively speaking, FIFA World Cup is by far bigger than the Super Bowl.
But when it comes to the structure of the halftime show,
they definitely have ways to go to match the quality level of a Super Bowl halftime show.
And I think it starts with only choosing one main performer and having them bring out people
instead of trying to bring out all these different main performers and having them share 11 minutes of performance time.
So the other thing I was going to get at was Justin Bieber.
Now, somebody got to do it.
No, somebody got to do it because, of course, when you look at Justin Bieber, people say he slowed down the show's energy.
Of course, I didn't watch it when it comes to the matter.
This is the notorious mass effect covering the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affected masses.
So for the masses that was actually at the FIFA World Cup show, they said that Bieber's slow acoustic song disrupted the show's energy.
And many people felt that everything, Hallelujah, song was an odd choice for a global sporting event.
Now, of course, I didn't watch this.
I can't really say too much.
But when it comes to the actual performance elements, a lot of people did have Justin Bieber specifically as the worst performer.
Don't kill the messenger.
I'm just letting y'all know what happened.
You know what I'm saying?
But what you need to leave out on this
as far as the main takeaway from this segment
is that it was the first half-time show ever
staged during the FIFA World Cup final.
Unfortunately, the goat was not there.
Is it okay? I got my dope on me.
But he was in attendance.
So the last thing I was wanting to do
was showcase some of the celebrities
that was actually there.
So we do have this one right here.
If I can find a way to make this full.
Okay, here we go.
So analytic dreams video
Spotify to see the video along with the audio
As you can see right here
We have the goat
And then we have another goat in hip hop
And of course another goat in R&B
As far as Jay Z Beyonce
And you have Raqm and Rihanna
For real
And then of course we have
This right here
As far as the whole snapshot
You see future just up there being the snake
You know what I'm saying
No you know what I mean
Somebody got to say
With that being said
Then we have the I show speed performance
We have Beyonce
I'll say again.
Let me see.
Oh, yeah, here's another angle
of the BTS performance.
I don't know, this is I show speed.
We do have angles of BTS, though,
coming up shortly.
But this is I show speed,
performing at the closing ceremony.
And then, of course, when it comes to BTS,
I think I had angles of them at some point.
This is them talking about the show.
Here we go.
Today is a special...
Here we are.
BTS!
You're so excited to be part of the first ever
but a final half-time show happening today.
Today is a special moment that brings together music, football, and impact for bigger parts.
This show has support and patience for children around the world.
We are surprised at a part of these many people today.
Thank you to everyone who has supported children.
We can't wait to share this moment with all of you.
Don't miss it, watch life today.
W. Bilingual, you know what I'm saying?
Hey, y'all chill out now. Don't forget.
English is not their first language, but they still managed to pull that bilingualness off.
You know what I'm saying?
I know bilingualness ain't a word, but I just made the one, you know what I'm saying?
As far as the person that's been hyping up BTS the most, safe to say you're looking at them.
But when it comes to that, safe to say another person that was hyping up BTS is the one and only speed, as you can see right here.
This man did a backflip on command.
Watch, watch it.
This is actually insane.
Bro, him doing that in the same spot?
Like, is this man Chris Brown?
No, for real.
like this man got he got back back flips on command.
Bs yes can't get a picture let's get a picture.
Oh my gosh, this is lit.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, big fan, bro.
Big fan, oh my God, big fan, big fan,
big fan y'all.
Oh, crap, huh?
Big fan y'all, oh crap.
That man was hype, wasn't it?
I don't lie, I'll be hype too,
But when it comes to that, and then we also had, we had another angle of BTS.
Oh, no, here's the angle that I was talking about.
So here are the other angles of BTS performing at the halftime show.
As you can see, they went crazy with the set, designed, the cinematography, everything.
I mean, they just went absolutely insane.
It's crazy.
And honestly, BTS's RRing is still my favorite album of 2026.
So, well, it's one of my favorite albums.
Obviously, you know who, you know what my favorite is.
You know what I'm saying?
Am I dope on me?
Yeah, I mean, Iceman is still growing on me to this day, pulse.
But anyway, so with that being said,
the BTS show was fantastic.
I think the amount of main performers could be limited
for the next FIFA World Cup halftime show
to make the quality increase.
But as far as in totality, I mean,
the amount of revenue they generated,
I mean, they definitely have the time and resources
and monetary value to definitely make the adjustments needed.
So with that be said, click my link to share my bio to follow me in my social medias.
And of course, if you over at Spotify, make sure to comment down below,
who do you think was the best performer at the FIFA halftime show?
And who do you think was the worst performer?
