Shepard.
Promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for ad free content.
Now, the first thing I want to know is, where are the bananas?
Shepherd.
All right, my fault.
You probably don't even know what I'm referring to.
As ladies and gentlemen, not only are we getting into Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, but we're also getting into how companies like Walmart.
Hold up. Now, I know.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
That's the hometown legend, ain't it?
All right.
my fault let me get back on subject so basically Walmart codes like fast 30 and save 3x offers
$10 off 35 dollar plus online pickup slash delivery orders now this is not a promo right the reason why
I'm saying this is because apparently a lot of Nintendo connoisseurs are using this code and if that
code doesn't work I kid you not they say try adding a 20 cent banana
which toggles the fresh slash produce cart condition for many.
I kid you not.
Just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
Don't say you never receive some pro strategies as far as how to save money on notorious mass effect.
Oh, come on, Drisky.
Come on, Drisky.
They ain't got to do all that.
Now, all jokes aside, even though that wasn't a joke, that was a real story.
So as far as the bananas, let's just say a lot of people are purchasing.
to them for other reasons. So anyways, with that being said, ladies and gentlemen,
not only are we getting into the IP that saved itself in 2012 by putting out the particular
awakening game, not only are we getting into the IP that ended up being Nintendo's highest grossing
mobile game of all time as far as heroes, but also we are getting into the IP that
specifically when it comes to the IP, the most popular game was three houses as far as the
Fire Emblem series that ended up selling 4.1 million units as of December 2020. So you already know
it's way more in the year of 2026. Now of course, when diving into the Review and Sales
Roundup of Fire Emblems Fortune Weave, of course, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video
along with the audio because as you can see right here it did debut number one as far as first
week sales but as of right now it's currently the fourth most play game on nintendo as far as
famitsu's translation that is who you can blame for them saying a thousand colors i don't know why it says
a thousand colors it should say fortunes we but hey hey hey guess what i hear english translation
apparently fermitzu is the only site that messes up the english translation i'm like bro come on now
You guys.
Anyways, so that being said, 166,000 copies sold overall for a fire emblem, a fortune's weave,
and now you come to realize not only is it currently still the fourth most play game on Nintendo,
but when it first came out, it went to number one as it sold 127,000 copies out the gate.
Now, of course, this is not millions like other Nintendo.
Nintendo games we've gotten into as far as rhythm heaven miracle uh well rhythm groove yeah these
english translation on the famisu site is terrible let me just go to my own page rhythm okay here we go
uh rhythm heaven groove is currently over a million copies as far as a switch version uh let me see
any other and then we have tomodachi the game we've also covered so any of those you can type
in that specific name analytic dreams with a zMI deep dive of that specific game will pop up
But the reason why I'm even pointing these out
is because, one, you know,
we've gotten into a plethora of Nintendo games.
So come on, Drewski, I ain't got to do all that.
Just make sure to rate this five stars.
Anyways, when it comes to other games
under the Nintendo umbrella that's crossed a million threshold,
it was a game from 2018.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl special.
I mean, that doesn't really, you know,
it's already a legacy game, so no need to bring that up.
But basically, the reason why I say that is,
Because of course, a fortune's weave does not blow expectations like out of the water.
But it did debut number one when it initially came out, which is definitely a W.
And very impressive regardless, even though when you look at other installments in the Fire Emblem series,
and we're going to get into the gameplay loop in a second.
I'm just basically breaking down the IP and how many installments they have.
So if you don't know, three houses, the game I talked about at the beginning, that came out,
2019, that is the most popular fire emblem of all time, objectively speaking, with 4.1 million
copies. And then you have Fates that came out 2015 on the 3DS that sold 3 million copies.
And then you have Awakening that came out 2012 on the 3DS that sold 2.3 million copies.
You have Engage that came out 2023 on the switch that sold 1.6 million copies. And of course
you have echo shadow of valentia
of uh is it valencia
valentia i don't know one of those
came out 2017 for the 3d s and that sold one million copies
so basically when you look at
166,000s overall for the fire emblem
fortunes weave game
you come to realize
in the grand scheme of things it's not
blowing the expectations out of the water
especially when you look at the numbers that
fire emblem games usually
generate. But when you look at the review roundup, safe to say people have glowing reviews to the
point where would you rather have a game that sells really well but poorly received or a game
that sells very modestly, but it's still highly acclaimed with the critics. As far as which one
you would prefer, it seems like Nintendo is definitely satisfied with the fortunes weed because not only
did it debut at number one, not only is it currently the fourth most play game on the Nintendo
platform, but to be fair, if you were to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 and wanted to dive into a
particular game that's exclusive to this platform, well, this is the game.
You're looking at it.
As when it comes to people who have 9 to 5s out there, you're probably wondering,
how long will this game take me to beat?
And ladies and gentlemen, that is the wrong question.
You should be asking, how long, how much time are you willing to put into this specific game?
of course when it comes to the main story i'm talking about the fastest i mean you may have to
speed run to get this time but it's approximately 45 to 50 hours right that is a speed running
type of estimate now let's get to the real hours the typical runtime for the main story is 80 to
100 hours i kid you not i could you not so as far as fire emblem connoisseurs you would definitely love
that this game has that much content
because as you can see
analytic dreams video on Spotify
to see the video along with the audio
it definitely is appealing
from a visual aspect
you could tell they're not
skimping out on certain quality
when it comes to a story or visual aspect
but of course also
when you look at fire emblem
as far as in totality
it's built such a magnificent world
that you aren't really
thinking about the hours but how much
enjoyment you're having in this particular game.
It's safe to say from a review roundup from the masses.
All of them, a majority, is very positive.
So with that being said, now it's time to get into the gameplay loop for people who don't
know anything about Fire Emblem, but once again, if you don't know Fortune, Weave came out
September 17th of this year.
It's the 18th mainline Fire Emblem tactical RPG developed by intelligence systems who
we're going to get to them in a second.
It's a Switch 2 exclusive.
It's not on Switch 1.
It's not on any other platform but the Nintendo Switch 2.
And the digital edition is approximately $70, which is why I started off to segment the way I did.
Because, of course, it was a banana joke, you know, not over here perpetuating the stereotype.
But of course, when you come to the actual implications of it, it's a code that you can actually use.
So that is why all the bananas are going to stink.
So anyways, this game is saying the same world as Fire Emblem Three Houses, as it makes sense,
as that's the most popular game in a franchise, objectively speaking.
And of course, when it comes to that, it's primarily in the Dagden Empire, south of Faudland,
with Mediterranean-inspired architecture, music, and visual design.
And the Mediterranean, no, the story takes place across a time trial.
framework five years after the tournament
demon god bailer in the undead
devastate the region
and then you have a customizable protagonist
titled that goes by the name of ishmael
known as the pale raven slash white raven
and it's chosen by Sautis and aided by Fort
Fortune 9 wasn't the actual boy wasn't a nerd
hey man I'm a nerd myself but goodness gracious
all these names are throwing me for a loop
each male travels back in time to ensure four future flame lords survive the heroic games in dachian now i'm not going to lie to you
that's some nerd talk right there but ladies and gentlemen if you want to even more nerd talk safe to say the four
flame lords is kai i think that's how you say it a country youth fighting to free his imprisoned father
you have die rich a fondling swordsman searching for worthy opponents you have theodora
that is the queen of sarumus pursuing territorial and religious objectives you have lita
a dancer slash musician secretly seeking revenge for her father's murder a murder and then of course
players can switch the routes through the obelisk champ
chamber chamber obelisk is an obelisk obelisk is definitely obelisk right the obelisk chamber slash pale
raven's perch rather than being permanently locked into one campaign now the reason why i say all that
is because if this game's going to be a hundred well 80 to 100 plus hours right then you probably
want to know a little bit about the story before you even dive into this world and it seems as if
it's so many different things going on that will make you feel like oh it's not like they're padding the game it
It seems as if just like three houses, they're building such a phenomenal world that you want to spend an indefinite amount of time in, especially if you're a huge Fire Emblem, uh, emblem fan, but also if you're a huge Nintendo Switch to Connoisseur and just want to play games that is exclusive on that platform because, you know, the optimization is going to be definitely, uh, targeting Nintendo Switch to Connoisseurs in general.
So anyways, as far as combat and gameplay is a turn-based tactical combat, but the traditional weapon triangle has been removed.
So you have the swords, you have axes, you have bows, magic.
The returning three-house mechanics, including combat arcs, gambas, and crests.
There's other things in the midst of the game.
I don't want to get too nerdy with it.
I want to keep in a lamest turn for the people who are wanting to try out the game.
And so with that being said, what the customizable player,
Ishmael, the four flames, lords, and dozens of recruitable characters is who you can play as.
And then, of course, the classes include returning archetypes and new options such as Ornius, writer, and charioteer.
So I want to get too nerdy with the story.
But overall, the reason why I say all that is because it's an 80 to 100 hour plus campaign, ladies and gentlemen.
So if you want to enjoy that, well, there's the lame, there's the in lamest terms.
the story and characters who you will be playing as so of course now that we got to the sales
and just the overall story of the game i did want to get into intelligence systems as if you
don't know as a coyote based japanese video game developer founded in december
1986 but turu nirihiro nirai hero however you said that origins in 1983 iwasaki
Kicken, Jicken, I don't know, I'd say, Guyken, I think it's Guyken, division contracting for
Nintendo.
And it began as an auxiliary programmer porter toolmaker for Nintendo R&D1, contributing to titles
like Mario Bros, Metroid, and Duck Hunt.
The reason why I say this is because they are the developers behind this specific game.
So for them to be known for Fire Emblem, Emblem, Paper Mario, Warrior Wear,
wars slash events wars you come to realize they have such a high rap sheet as far as accomplishments
under their belt that now moving into the review roundups you come to realize that all of these
outstanding reviews from a lot of different conglomerates is definitely not unfamiliar territory
for this developer because they're used to these type of high quality like games under their belt
so anyways when it comes to fortune weaves specifically igin gave it a 10 out of 10
basically saying, quote,
Fire Emblem, Fortunes Weeb provides an excellent pairing of combat strategy and management
with compelling stories spreading across each of its four heroes that come together to form one phenomenal RPG.
Yerogamer gave it a five out of five saying, quote,
a synergy of everything that has made the series great for generations.
Fire Emblem Fortune Weave hits the pinnors.
of combat design and a sum sumptuous feat of a game game spot gave it a nine out of ten all
of these are perfect scores and if they're not perfect scores don't want off from it so it's very
telling anyways game spot gave it a nine at a ten saying quote fire emblems fortune weaves is a
sprawling masterpiece of a strategy RPG building upon the success of past fire emblem games
with new interconnected elements,
expertly designed combat puzzles,
and an emphasis on flexibility and choice.
Nintendo and intelligence systems
have topped themselves making this the new high
to beat for future entries.
I mean, it's a lot of hot praise.
I kid you now.
For an 80-plus-hour game as far as the main line,
we're not even talking about optional content.
I didn't even get into the runtime of that.
Once you hear 80 to 100 hours,
as far as the main story, you already know,
A, it's a GTA level of
As far as diving into the world
It's going to be
GTA levels of having to
ingratiate yourself into the world
You know, you're going to be there for quite some time
So anyways, let's do one more
So
Nintendo Life gave it an A that it's interesting
Saying quote
On the whole fire emblem fortress weave
It's dense, deep and really
Rather delightful
It can sometimes feel a bit
Too much of a good thing with the pacing
slipping in the later chapters, thanks to an unnecessary, complicated protagonist hierarchy,
and some grindy map management.
But the battles have never felt better, and there's no knocking the sheer amount to do.
It takes a lot for a game to hold my attention for as long as fortunes weave, and with a bunch
of content still waiting for me, I'll be happy to pour even more days into it.
So, I mean, even though it didn't give the description.
scores that a lot of other conglomerates gave it still gave it pretty high pretty high praise and then i did
say it was the last one will i pick another one i got to pick another one all right let's go with destructoid
they gave it a nine out of ten saying quote a hallmark of excellence there may be flaws but they are
negligible and won't cause massive damage once i finally got past the anime art style and daunting tactical
gameplay. I was hooked. Fire emblems
arduous onboarding
for a newcomer is a minor
roadblock in the way of an epic sprawling,
time-consuming adventure that's fun,
challenging, and very
enjoyable. Ladies and gentlemen,
safe to say that Fire Emblems, Fortune Weave, is
definitely one of those games that's
going to be
talked about for quite some time, especially
the way that's time back into Fire Emblem's most popular title as far as three houses.
So if you just want to dive into Fire Emblem, I think, especially if you have a Nintendo Switch 2,
this may be one of the best times to get back into this IP, as it seems like they hit their stride
with this one as far as Fortunes weave in the year of 2026 for Nintendo.
So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio to follow me on my social medias.
And of course, if you're on Spotify, make sure to comment down below 10 months.
into the year of 2026, what has been your favorite Nintendo game in this year? And why?
