Starting point is 00:00:03 And the winner for worst name in the music industry goes to Fred again, again, again, again, again. Because that's actually his name. Now, of course, if you look at his actual profile, I mean, it just says Fred again with two dots, I mean, three dots. So with that being considered, he's also won other awards, you know, besides the worst name in the music industry as he won an award for grand he won a grammy mind you for best dance slash electronic album all the way back in February for his uh album that came out i think January or yeah i think January of 2022 i forget when he actually put out his album but anyways um the album actual life three which interestingly enough I don't see it on DSPs oh I see it it just it's a weird
Starting point is 00:01:03 Just like his name, the actual album title has the date in January 1st, September 9th, 2022. Why does it have a date? I have no idea. But anyways, the reason why I'm even getting to Fred again is because he put out a new album and the last time he had a Grammy winner as a project. So the anticipation is already through the roof as far as that stamp of approval that the Grammy board gave him. Because of course, that's a significant accomplishment, especially in an electronic. music scene.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Fred again pops up a lot as far as the TikTok charts and the amount of impact he has on there. But one of the biggest things that a lot of people like from Fred is his live performances. His live sets, the last minute performance he had at Madison Square Garden with Screlix and Fortet. And the just strong reception from people attending that show has fans. buying his albums, streaming his music, and of course, going to even more concerts because of his ability to showcase his actual artistry and music production live, right? Because some musicians falter when it comes to live performances. Performing your music live in front of, like, thousands of fans is pretty intimidating, I would assume, you know.
Starting point is 00:02:32 but whenever getting on stage and performing your craft in front of the masses, it's always going to be butterfly effects and things of that nature. But with Fred again, I mean, the way that he's cultivated his fan base, one of the biggest things that they say stands out for his performance. It's just the way he has live instrumentation and just the way he actually pays attention to the live music scene and kind of puts that into his own performances whenever he's performing live. So some of the other inspirations that's shown throughout multiple times that's shown a lot throughout his rise to fame is that him being named artists of the year by platforms like EDM train and just the whole consensus being that he's definitely one of the more talented standouts amongst the music industry. And then combine that with what I just said about his fans, you can see why that reflect.
Starting point is 00:03:30 and album sales, streaming numbers, and concert ticket sales. So that's one of the reasons I wanted to get into his current project that's out now and all DSPs titled 10 days. Because without all of that before, as far as just him coming out and having a unique method as far as having real life sounds and voices in his music and arguably one of the better sets when it comes to live performances. And just the innovative factor that goes into that, you can see why his influence. influence on the charts, social media and concert attendance is higher than normal. So that's
Starting point is 00:04:10 really what I wanted to highlight because when somebody actually takes their artistry serious and puts effort into the live performances, I'm glad when they're rewarded for it. Because a lot of people get out there on a live stage where fans have played have paid two to three hundred dollars, not even counting the hotel food transportation and then they just watch you do karaoke to your own music so with fred again actually taking the time out of his busy schedule because every artist thinks they're the busiest uh whenever it comes to live performances because they don't really put too much effort and i'm not going to say a lot of yeah i don't know because it comes to covering hip hop man i'm not going to lie that matter karaoke i've seen in the past two to three years i mean
Starting point is 00:05:01 it's just criminal i don't know why y'all out here paying at least five to six hundred to go watch a person do karaoke when you can do that in your at a at a party or a kickback by yourself like my brother i could have did this on spotify like you out here in front of us doing the same thing i could have did at home right because you're just listening to his music while he just walk around like he actually cognate so um yeah with that being said that's really what i wanted to highlight as far as uh fred again but anyways the album 10 days is out now and um from from reception you know the his fan base basically they was telling me that it is basically the the typical energetic uh danceable beats that you'll you come to
Starting point is 00:05:45 recognize especially in the electronic music scene and if you don't know he's collaborating with soak and they are known um well she's known she's 20 24 I got to be careful. She's known for her emotive and folk influence music contributing to the shift as far as her soulful vocals and then, you know, of course, Fred's electronic production. So him being an engineer isn't surprising because of the amount of positive reception that he receives from his live performances. And then some of the other things as far as what he's exploring, as far as themes and
Starting point is 00:06:21 his music, I mean, you know, a lot of the focuses, a lot of the focus is on, presence, observation, and reflection on his life, which you would hope to get from a musician. Because sometimes people just be out here talking, like, on whatever. Like, and it's never personable. So whenever you hear an artist actually getting into introspective thoughts about their own life and how they see themselves in the midst of society, I think it's very intriguing because you can only be you, only you or you at all times. I don't know if that's crazy to say, but, you know, putting that to the music, you would think it would be more often, but most people cosplay as others.
Starting point is 00:07:03 So, with that being said, it's something that a lot of people have been anticipating with him having already won a Grammy for Best Dance slash Electronic Album. I mean, it's safe to say that he knows how to make a project, right? So I would definitely encourage you all to get into this album as, you know, a lot of the, uh, singles like just dance uh just dance uh just stand there is uh resonating with a lot of his fan base and um once again i mean there's a lot of reflective um themes and as far as um the overall production i mean get get ready to get on the dance floor if you can dance i mean if you can't dance and you know that's okay you can just sit in the corner right so with that being said that's really all i have to say about fred again shout out to him to actually putting forth effort in his
Starting point is 00:07:55 performances and his actual artistry because i think that needs to be a uh more of a priority for majority of these up-and-coming acts so with that being said click my link to you in my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about fred again putting out his album 10 days out now on all dsps and if you've listened to it what is your favorite track
