Now, safe to say, when talking about this particular artist, it first started December 1st, no, December 7th, 2023 for the podcast, Notorious Mass Effect.
And of course, the reason why I bring that up is because, ladies and gentlemen, Fred again, actually Fred again, not Fred, and then I'm saying again, I'm actually saying his name, his artist's title, is Fred again.
Okay, y'all get the point.
Anyways, with that being said, Fred again's album.
title is USB. You guys. And you probably thinking to yourself, why in the world is a title
USB? Well, ladies and gentlemen, safe to say, this is a compilation, right? This is a part of Fred's,
again, evolving USB compilation and is reportedly going to be an infinite album potentially
reaching 200 songs. So then the question arises. How many songs does he currently have on his USB
album. Well, I'm glad you asked. As his USB album has not only, not only does he have 34 tracks,
but in total, the duration of this album is two hours and 20 minutes.
I know that ain't who I think it is. Now, the reason I bring up me talking about or just speaking
on Fred again back in 2023 is because we did talk about him again on the September 6th,
2024, but of course, interestingly enough in the year of 2025, we haven't talked about
Fred at all, which is crazy because when you look at it specifically, his particular track
titled Victory Lap is currently nominated for a Grammy and is nominated for Best Dance Slash Electronic
Recording. But then you come to realize who in the world is that on the track?
I know that ain't who I think it is. You know, in the world of content creation, whenever you see
these type of names, safe to say it does not get to respect in certain other fields because
of course they look at content creation in a certain factor in a certain way right so to see this
gentleman's name on this particular track i'm not trying to glaze but kudos to that brother
now obviously i'm talking about the one and only plaque boy max which hilariously has a lot of
plaques and a lot of people make that the main focal point of their joke when they talk about his
name right so anyways um plaque boy max is on that track but of course skepta is also on that track um
And apparently with this specific track, it samples Dochi.
I've never heard Victory Lap, but of course when it comes to Fred again, I've covered him before.
I'm just not a connoisseur to the likes of a heavy, heavy Fred again fan.
So that means it, you'd probably wonder about the USB album going back to, well, okay, no, there's a reason why I say that.
Because basically, I haven't covered him in 2025, but one of his most successful tracks, as far as from a critic's perspective,
which is Victory Lap, that is also on this USB album.
So along with all the two hours and whatever minutes you can handle of electronic music,
there's also Victory Lap on this specific album that's nominated for a Grammy.
And of course, it hasn't won yet.
We don't know if it will win, but the ceremony is February 1st, 26, which is my birthday.
So with that being said, safe to say, the Grammys is definitely going to be an event to look forward to.
if you're a huge Fred again fan.
So when coming back to the album, USB,
and looking at the different features on the album,
I believe when it comes to his approach to music,
especially being a major songwriter in the music industry,
which if you don't know, him and Ed Shearn,
Dave co-wrote and produced 12 tracks together.
And then of course, when you come to who else he's worked with,
he's worked with Reader Orr, Clean Bandit,
and a lot of other particular artists,
in the music industry. So when it comes to his production value, when it comes to his lyrical
ability from a penmanship, a lot of people respected. And of course, they respected it to the point
where he was the youngest ever recipient of the producer of the year award at the Brit Awards in
2020. So when we're looking at Fred again, safe to say we're not just talking about a random
producer that just put out two hours and 20 minutes of music. This is a highly acclaimed producer that
also comes with a lot of electronic type of offerings that basically affects the masses you know
pun intended as far as the podcast title but then of course when you look at it as far as the vinyl
edition it appears on USB I think it's zero zero to the uh is that 12 inch vinyl pulse you guys
my bad I was just letting you I know the inches of the vinyl anyways with that being said
um this album is under Atlantic records as far as
it's warner so with that with the market share for warner currently being 12% while UMG has 63%
and while sony has 23% safe to say warner could definitely use a w and they're probably going to be
putting all type of marketing promotions around this two hour and 20 minute album i mean warner loves an
album like this because of course for the streaming algorithm this is the perfect album especially
having a boatload of songs and of course having an avid family
base like Fred again. So safe to say we'll have to see where this album ends up on the charts
in the foreseeable future. So with that being said, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know
one of my social medias. What do you think about Fred again? Do you think that his track
Victory lap will win at the 2026 Grammys? And also when it comes to Fred again, do you believe
that he's the best electronic producer in the game right now?
