Now I'm not going to lie to you after going to Freddie Gibbs' Instagram profile and seeing the cover like his icon for his profile image, I just got to say, that is one deranged man.
Now, the reason why I say that is because, of course, this man did something that I believe is very fair in the land of hip hop.
He went at Germain.
And why did he go at Germain?
Because this man wanted to come out on a track, talking about Germain, right?
But this man wanted to come out on clouds, having all type of braggadocious bars talking about he'll murder this rapper, murder that rapper.
Like we forgot that seven minute drill exists on planet Earth, right?
I mean, just because he took it off DSPs doesn't mean we took it out of our memory.
That man did one of the most egregious moves we've ever seen in hip hop.
Now, of course, here comes Freddie gives to point out the obvious.
Freddie responded with a yon emoji on X and basically criticized Cole's stance on clouds because of what he's.
he did as far as taking away seven minute drill when he was supposed to get in a back and forth
with Kendrick now would germain ever respond to freddie of course not because if you look at it
analytically i don't think freddie has charted in the past two years i'm not even trying to be
funny like i look at the charts consistently covering this podcast i've never once seen freddie gibbs
name come across my timeline now that's okay because of course when it comes to germane currently
that man also if you're hearing that sound that's me searching it as we speak that sound that sound
is me not being able to find any cold tracks on the charts or Gibbs tracks or albums.
And if you go to Germain, right?
If you go to Germain, he is inevitably and indefinitely in hip-hop timeout because he has
a track title clouds and that's still not on the charts.
I mean, like, hold up.
I thought he was in the big three.
It was almost like what I've been saying this entire time of him being the most overrated
rapper of all time, hold some credence.
Now, anyways, let's go to Freddie Gibbs, right?
Freddie Gibbs is kind of a different case scenario because nobody really puts him on their superstar status so he could flop and nobody would care.
But of course, cold clouds came and went and nobody is pointing it out but me.
But you know, hey, that's why you know notorious mass fiction is why you should, you know, follow, subscribe, things in that nature.
You know almost at 10 million total downloads, but that's besides the point.
So Freddie Gibbs put out, nobody likes you.
Well, he put out track titled Nobody, March 14, 2025.
Now, when it comes to this track, I think it's very interesting.
because he's putting out these particular tracks,
but the one, the main one I wanted to focus on was the big two, right?
He's promoting.
Nobody likes you, but the rapping on big two from Freddie Gibbs,
I think is immaculate to the point where I'm spending this segment,
basically highlighting that specific track,
because I really liked the way he went after certain artists.
And when I say certain artists, I think it's more of a put your name on the bullet,
because the way that he has the big two,
structured as a rap verse,
I believe this could have been used in a rap battle
if Jermaine ever had the courage to engage in a rap battle.
It's almost like hip-hop's made of confrontation.
And Jermaine's like the ultimate pacifist, right?
I mean, it's okay with being, you know,
there's nothing wrong with being a pacifist,
but I'm around long enough to know what happened to chance the rapper.
It's only so long you could talk about all these positivity,
type of it's only so long you could push these positive type of ideologies onto the public
until we've realized hey brother this is hip hop we're not trying to hear all that all that positivity
talking about you like your wife or you love your wife oh no see and they got them all the way up
out of here ain't that crazy so anyways obviously there's nothing wrong with germane stance it's just in hip hop
it's almost like joining the NFL right and be like i don't want to give that other grown man a CT
Like, that's not what I signed up for.
Like, hold up now.
Like, actually, actually, somebody need to tell Germain, that's exactly what you signed up for, buddy.
So anyways, Freddie Gibbs was trying to give Germain CTE, you know, to basically to make my analogy make sense.
Freddie Gibbs was trying to give Germain CTE and Germain backed out, right?
Because he doesn't want to acknowledge Freddie's distorts him for his track clouds.
And mind you, it's 2025.
y'all want to know when clouds came out clouds actually let me see if i can find it so clouds came out by jermaine
february 21st 2025 it's only march 16th so when freddie called him out it wasn't so long ago
right and he's still putting out tracks titled the big two he's putting out other tracks titled uh nobody
but obviously nobody's gonna give him as much attention as he would have if jermaine would have
fired back at freddie for basically critiquing his braggadocious bars about murdering rappers
on his uh track clouds so that is why i wanted to focus this on freddie versus jermaine
because at the end of the day no disrespect to freddie but i don't think he's as prevalent in
the hip-hop field but whenever he called out jermaine that was definitely a moment in time for
jermaine to get out of hip-hop timeout but now he's still in it because he put out clouds
I thought Jermaine was part of the big three.
You look at the charts,
Clauses, nowhere to be found.
Drake is on the charts six times.
Kendrick is on the charts eight times.
Type in Jermaine,
nowhere to be found.
It's almost like he's the most overrated rapper of all time.
But you know, that's okay.
So getting back into Freddie Gibbs calling out Cole,
it's really not too much to get into.
I just wanted to break that down for y'all
to also let you know that Freddie has given us offerings
to let you know how good he can rap as far as the big,
two and as far as nobody.
But when it comes to the back and forth between him and Jermaine,
I think that's an opportunity that could push us forward in hip hop because, of course,
Drake and Kendrick are currently going back and forth as far as having the number one
and number two album in the world.
Now, of course, everybody's going to be like, oh, but Lady Gaga, we're talking about hip hop.
As far as hip hop, Kendrick, G&X, and Drake's some sexy songs for you is one and two
respectively on the charts and it's been that way for the past three to four weeks.
Lady Gaga just got into the, you know, like she just put out her album.
So of course she's going to have her biggest numbers similar to what to what Tate McCray did with so close for what.
But if you look it's so close for what currently, it's the fifth most play album.
So we have to wait to see what Lady Gaga's mayhem is going to do until we put it up there with the likes of a GNX or some sexy songs for you.
Because there's been some weeks and some sexy songs for you and GNX is just consistently at the top two, right?
So people are still very, very much invested into this beef between Kendrick and Drake.
And I think Freddie versus Germain could have gave enough spectacle to ultimately start to branch out as far as other artists getting more shine besides Drake and Kendrick.
But would Germain ever do that?
Of course not because guess what?
At the end of the day, he's in a contact sport and he's the ultimate pacifist.
Make that make sense.
So anyways, click my link to me in my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
you listen to freddie gibbs the big two have you listened to his track nobody and which
track do you think is better and ultimately who do you think will win and a back and forth
germain or freddie gibbs
