Starting point is 00:00:00 Now if you return with me, if you do have your cellular devices on hand, to your DSP, whatever DSP you use, preferably Spotify, not because it's an ad, just because they're the best DSP by far. But with that point, set to the side, I need you to type in Ray Shremerton for me, right? And then look at the most, the top five most popular tracks, right? We got, this could be us, Black Beatles, come get her swaying. and those four are from let me see i promise you i'm getting someone with this those four tracks are from 2016 and back so to 2016 all the way to them creating music no from from them creating music all the way up to this point the biggest hits are from 2016 right that's the latest the the hits have came from and of course number five which is
Starting point is 00:01:04 really a swayed track titled Not So Bad and parentheses Lings Gone Code. Now, I'm a huge fan of Ray Schremer. I know they only sold like 20-something thousand first week sales as far as this year with their shrimp for life. But I'm personally, that is one of my favorite albums of the year, right? I'm just making the point because you see how the most popular songs as a group is from 2016 at the latest. You come over to Sway Lee
Starting point is 00:01:36 and I'm not even trying to be funny. His top five most popular tracks, two out of four of those came out this year, calling with the Spider-Man across the Spider-verse album or soundtrack, Circus Maximus that was, of course, with Travis Scott, and then Annihilate
Starting point is 00:01:54 that was also off of the Spider-Man across the Spider-verse. I really say that to point out this fact that I feel like Sway Lee has realized that he has maximized the potential of his group. I think he's realized
Starting point is 00:02:09 that he's now, which is nothing wrong with it, and this is no slight to Slim Jimmy, but I think he's realized he is the Beyonce of the group because if you go to Slim Jimmy's profile and look at the numbers,
Starting point is 00:02:21 it's not even, because I respect him as a group and I respect Slim Jimmy, I'm not even going to read off Slim Jimmy's numbers. So let's just focus on, That's just like, hey, put two and two together if you can. So anyways, let's get back to Swayley. So Swayley being the Beyonce of the group is very apparent that he's now going out more on his own.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Because of course, that's where the numbers come in. And that's what he gets his most return on revenue. It's kind of like if you're a group bringing in 20,000 first week, right? And now you got to split that because there's another guy part of the group. And you're doing 10 times more numbers by yourself. would you not put out more tracks solely by yourself instead of trying to keep pushing the race, Shremerer agenda? And I feel like that's exactly what Sway Lee is doing
Starting point is 00:03:09 because ladies and gentlemen, he is back with another one. Now, one of the top tracks for Sway Lee that I didn't say was unforgettable, which was with French, French, French Lee, imagine that, but French Montana. So anyways, unforgettable. It's one of the biggest tracks, I think of all time, for the, The R-I-A-A has sold over 10 million copies, which, you know, that means it's diamond. I don't know if y'all know, but going diamond is very rare, even in the superstar
Starting point is 00:03:42 landscape and stratosphere that a person like Sway Lee is in. So Unforgettable was one of the greatest songs in the past like three to five years, right? I think that came out in what, 2017? People still play that to this day. So that was alongside French Montana. and now they're back with a new single titled Wish You Well. Now, Unforgettable became a worldwide hit and was certified diamond by the RIAA. So it has humongous expectations, almost impossible expectations to live up to.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Because with the track coming out, with it being French Montana and Sway Lee, obviously if you see on a shameless play with my analytic dreams video version, French Montana is showcasing this track saying, you know, promoting it. It's out now, but this is from like three days ago as he was promoting it. And he was like, me and Sway Lee, back with another one titled Wish You Will. And I just can't imagine this even living up to the expectations of Unforgettable, which is why I'm saying that it doesn't have to. As long as this is a solid track, then I would be pleased or satisfied, I guess, as a fan.
Starting point is 00:04:58 because I do have a confession to make. I actually listen to the track and while it's not an album, it's one single track so I can digest it and give my opinion if I wanted to. I just want to let the public listen to the track for themselves
Starting point is 00:05:16 and hear what y'all have to say about it because I don't want to swear anyone's opinion but I listen to the track and, you know, just keep focusing on the fact that they did have that one hit were unforgettable you know sometimes like the great uh michael jordan said you miss a hundred wait did michael or cobi said it i don't know one of the ball hit the dudes said you miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take and ladies and gentlemen at least they shot this shot with this track titled wish you will i mean you at least had
Starting point is 00:05:58 to try to get another hit because after making a track with another person, a diamond track with another person, you have to try that formula again. As we see what Travis Scott and Drake, they keep coming back time and time again on each other's albums trying to replicate that sickle mode. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but at the end of the day, I listen to the track, but I want y'all to formulate your own opinions. Let me get into some other elements of the track, right? It marks the first time French Montana Sui Lee have teamed up since Unforgetable, of course. It captures a lot of African vibes, which with Afrobeats and the rise of Afrobees,
Starting point is 00:06:37 it's really not surprising, but also Unforgettable had a unique type of RPM to it. And it was, it's race per minute for people who don't know. But basically, it had a unique RPM, I would say. And for this to capture African vibes from the location it was shot, which was Lagos, Nigeria, which is also the homeland of Burnaboy who also put out an album, which I'm going to get into later. But there's other people on this track that's interestingly enough, not credited, even though they're providing vocals throughout the entire track. I don't know how that works, but, hey, y'all got to let me know. So pop singer Jess Glenn, Glennie, I don't know how I say that, G-L-Y-N-N-E provided some uncredited vocals on the track.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I don't know how much of a pop singer she is. Because let me tell you, there's no pop anything that's going to be on the track, add vocals, and not get credited unless you're little yaddy and just put out complete trash by yourself. So with that set aside, the song is also produced by Boy Wanda, and this is their first attempt to make another diamond hit after making a previous diamond hit in unforgettable.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I keep reiterating that fact because I don't want it to get lost in translation that I don't like this collab between French Montana and Sway Lee because if you made one, then there's a chance, it may be slim, but there's a chance that you can spark that same flame and make a whole other diamond hit,
Starting point is 00:08:14 even though diamond, you know, it's hard to come by. So with this new collaboration, I'm pretty sure that French Montana is going to market this in a way that every DJ Callet album is marketed by DJ. like french montana as far as dj cal as far as marketing uh they're up there with the best of them so i'll be interested to see what he does to put this uh track in unique positions but as far as as right now this track by french montana sully is uh titled to wish you will is definitely going
Starting point is 00:08:47 to be trying to replicate the success of unforgettable and we'll see if it's able to reach similar heights so anyways click my link tree in my bio let me know on one of my social media is what do you think about sway lee and french montana coming back again with this new track titled wish you well and do you think it will live up to the sales or the status of unforgettable or does it not even matter if it pairs up to the last collab
