Now, of course, getting into an artist that I've covered multiple times on the podcast
and dating all the way back to September 18, 2023, is the first time I ever covered
this artist.
So fast forward to April 11th, 2025.
I'm covering this artist again, but not for the album or track you might think because
this particular segment is covering the 34th most played track in Mexico, which is
Khan A Coqueta, which is by Fueza Regina.
Now, if you don't know, I've covered President Regita several times in the past,
the most recent being my coverage of his track,
uh, poor Aesos, right, that is doing phenomenal on the trust, by the way.
Like, I really appreciate all the support I have from just the masses in general.
But specifically for the people listening in Mexico, yes, I'm talking directly to you.
I appreciate you.
And you taking the time out to listen to me, break down the music industry.
Now, at that being said, let's get back into it.
So essentially, Fraser Regina's most popular.
track is Mihalo, which is the 55th most played track in the entire world, right?
Been on their charts about seven weeks, and it's the 55th most played track in the world.
Now, of course, when it comes to the particular track we're covering for this segment as far as
Coqueta, that was off of Malamia, and that came out December 19, 2024, right?
That was 16 minutes in length.
And being in April 11, 2025, you're probably wondering, how in the world is Coquette?
it's still the 34th most played track in Mexico.
Well, it's because it's fired.
So that being said, if you didn't know,
Frez of Regito has a lot of different tracks
just going crazy on the charts.
The most popular being, of course,
the Mihole track, which is the 55th most played track
in the world, right?
But now, dialing it back and going to specifically Mexico,
Como Capone, Como Capo,
make sure, because I think, is there different,
Regitas? No, it's not. Okay.
I know there's Oscar Mayadone.
I think there's another.
Oscar, but for Reza Regina, that's one person.
So anyways, Como Capone is the ninth most played track in Mexico.
Pika Pika is the 10th most played track in Mexico.
These are all, these all have Reza Regina on it, right?
Mihalo is the 12th most played track in Mexico, which is very interesting.
You would think Mi Halo would be one of the top performing tracks on Billboard globally.
But, oh, no, no, yeah, it would be one of the.
one of the higher performing tracks in Mexico, more specifically, because it's the highest charting track for Ferreira-Rigida globally, which just showcases how different consumption is just in different countries and things of the nature, right?
But in Mexico, Mihalo is Fresa-Regida's third most popular track, right?
But in the world, in totality, Mihalo is his most popular track.
So it just goes to show the different engagement just around the world.
Now, anyways, after that, then you have two Boda, which is the 21st most play track in Mexico.
Coqueta, which we're getting into today, as far as the podcast, is the 34th most play track in the world.
So that being said, when it comes to his rise to fame, you have to keep in mind that when he was led by Jesus as far as J.O.P. Ortiz past, the blend back then,
blended a lot of traditional corridors with hip hop and trap influences
creating the corridors tombados genre so with that being said they gained a lot of attention
with the two the 2018 hit yes they've been doing this for a minute right they gained a lot of
attention with the 2018 hit radicamos and south central peaking at number 24 on billboard's hot
latin songs and of course his albums like paela's babies belakita
came out of 2023 and piro no to anomerous
i'm saying that right that came out 2024 was also helpful in solidifying the experimental
approach incorporating a lot of jersey club and edium now to go along with that he also gained some
hardware along the way as the band earned two consecutive billboard music awards for top duo slash group
back in 2023 and
24 so are they going to go for the 3 p
the world may never know i mean just ask the kansas city chiefs out there
oh my fault a little too early my fault uh anyways uh getting back into coqueta so
essentially like i said it was released back in december 19th right it was off of the
ep malamia by fresa regita and group o fontara and essentially the ep
had a lot of Cambia pop rhythms with a lot of interesting lyrics from JLP and Paisal Solis, right?
And the production level came from Edgar Barrera, Miguel Armenta, and others.
And when it comes to the fusing of genres as far as on Foresa Regita side and Grupo Fontera side,
because if you don't know, when it comes to Group of Fontera,
he's more known for Tex-Mex,
Coombia, and Nortino sound, right?
So blending those had a lot of help
from Edgar Barre,
Miguel Armenta, and others.
But as far as this specific track
titled Coquetta,
just wanted to let y'all know
that it is doing phenomenal
to this day,
not to sound like Deonté Wilder,
but for something to come out
December 19, 2024,
for it to be April 11th,
2025,
and for it to still be going crazy
it on a chart, you just know that it's a phenomenal
feat and you're in for a treat
if you start listening
and getting into Fraser Regita's
discography. So with that being said, click my link to
my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias. Have you listened to the
Malamia EP by Fraser
Regina and Group of Frontera? And more
specifically, have you listened to the track
Coqueta?
