Starting point is 00:00:05 Really with a lot of people in the album and a lot of people I collaborate with often, like people like Future or Thub or Travis, we came up together type of thing. So it's like it's a different level of respect and camaraderie and like just chemistry. That's why I work with those kind of people like more often because it's just like, I feel like the vibe and the chemistry is like the core of just making good music. with that being said the album is finally here metro future highly anticipated collab album we don't trust you now technically any album that has a producer and an artist and the producer has produced majority of that artist's album you could call that collab tape three to four tracks four to five tracks off an album produced by one
Starting point is 00:01:06 producer technically that's a joint album now producers don't get credit because they're producers artists who perform over the beat gets majority of the spotlight and producer just gets that little tab that you have to click when you want more information and then you can see oh it credits the producer but producers usually don't get a feature now for metro to get a future uh get a feature it definitely showcases how much respect the artist has to even put him on that list as far as a feature because producers don't get that at all. So with this collab album, obviously it has appearances from the likes of Playboy, well, from the likes of a Young Thug Weekend, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Kendra Marr. and I think the whole collaborative effort, it was a nice attempt.
Starting point is 00:02:14 That's what I'll say. Because Metro went crazy with every single beat off of the album. But as a producer, I just know, especially as fire as Metro is, it has to be driving you insane that whenever you make a fire beat, somebody just comes in freestyle and then that's the entire track. Obviously, Future is one of the best musicians in the game
Starting point is 00:02:42 and that is because out of the 100 times you freestyle, that one or two, where he just went crazy, can end up being the top 10 hit for the summer. But the rest of those 98, 96 attempts with freestyle and punching in, punching out, saying random, walk, drugs, infused bars is has to be just driving you insane as a producer having all of these beats being wasted so with this album I would say that the overall addition that I could give as far as a review because I have listened to this entire album is that Metro went crazy and Future had his moments I think what Future did on the second half of
Starting point is 00:03:34 everyday hustle is something that I would have liked to see more often throughout this entire track because I felt like he was actually honing in on not giving like a lyrical performance but it seems like he was aware fully aware why he was delivering that verse so we don't trust you is obviously just one of the two joint albums playing by future Metro and the reason why I keep saying obviously it's because this has been a long time coming I mean it's been highlighted ever since last year and you know mysteriously metro said he had a 21 savage collab album and that is no longer being talked about mysteriously future has been pretty behind the scenes for the past two years but now he's back again and a lot of people are jumping to conclude
Starting point is 00:04:34 when it comes to him and another person beefing and mysteriously that person that future is having underlining beef with had a collab tape with 21 Savage and now the collab tape with 21 Savage and and Metro booming seemingly doesn't exist. Now, all of those things connect. I'm just going to let you put those puzzle pieces together. We don't trust you by future and Metro. It's an obvious attempt to encaptivate the masses and let you know which side they are on. So I would love to see how this plays out.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Going against the goat, I don't think that's ever a good strategy in itself. I mean, just look at me. My fault. At the end of day, going at Drake, it's just not the best, you know, it's just not the best marketing strategy. I ain't going to lie to you. So, and especially for that man to give you your last number one, which if you don't know, the story behind that,
Starting point is 00:05:41 which you can Google for yourself, is literally been said by the producer on, um, wait for you. But basically, the way how that track happened, wait for you is literally, literally a rip off of the track higher from Tim's. Tim's already had a hit with her track higher. Future wanted to sample it and basically wrap over it. So if you don't know, you use a sample
Starting point is 00:06:05 and if it's popular enough, it could carry the whole track. So Future made that song with the higher Tim sample, a sample. It was about to release, not about to release. It was set to be on this album. You know, obviously he reached out to Tim's, let her know about him using her sample she wasn't going to clear it she's like what you're using my sample for it's already popular it's already my track on the charts i don't need your help insert drake drake comes on the track and drake coming on the track was the only way for future to clear that tim sample so inherently drake gave you your last number one and now there's underlining beef that's insane so that's why i keep going back to the point beefing with drake is a terrible
Starting point is 00:06:55 marketing strategy it hasn't worked for anybody push a T literally one the lyrical exposing battle with Drake and still is irrelevant when it comes to the grand scheme of things to this day beefing with Drake is not a good marketing strategy so um obviously we're gonna get to some other tracks so it's not going to be a long-winded first impressions of the album but off of first second and And third listen, I would say that Metro was by far the standout of this album. And Future did its thing on the second half of Everyday Hustle, but that's just my type of blow. I like when artists actually seem like they put thought into what they rap.
Starting point is 00:07:46 So if I was to get my top three off of first impressions, I would say like that by far. I mean, we're going to get into that. I would say everyday hustle and then probably Young Metro because I like what the weekend did. And just the weekend being on Young Metro but not having no verse, just basically attributing to the background vocals and the chorus is criminal. But hey, maybe he was busy. So anyways, click my link to my bio. Let me know in one of my social media is.
Starting point is 00:08:21 What do you think about Future and Metro's new joint album? We Don't Trust You. And also, what do you think about the whole attempt to go out a particular rapper and how do you think that'll play out in the future?
