As far as being in hip hop culture, I would say at this point in time, future is becoming one of the most influential rappers. in hip hop period because of course it used to be little wayne and i say used to be like it still i think it still is little way i mean the tattoos the hairstyle all that came from little way right even the goat is it okay i got my dope on me even he came from little wayne but the reason why we're giving future this much respect and this much credence is because when his career started off

i don't think a lot of people thought it was going to last as long you know he really showcased a very limited subject matter and guess what? Decades later, he's still notoriously affected the masses. Because y'all can't tell me for the life of, you know, for all my hardcore future fans out there, there's no way you can tell me. That future has switched up to subject matter, you know what I'm saying?

But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop, like, what's going on? And of course, I listen to the entire real me album, which if you don't know, that's what we're about to get into right now. as the Real Me released July 10th, 2026 as his 10th solo studio album in his first and four years post, I never liked you. Has it been four years?

It has not been four years. Hold on now. Give me a second. There's no way it's been four years. All right. So that's why I had a fact check because your boy actually, you know, lives his hip hop. You know what I'm saying? So it hasn't been four years.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's been two years. So when it comes to his actual solo project, I think that's. with they're referring to. It's been four years since its solo project because of course, no, not even that because mixtape Pluto came out 2024. I know it says mixtape, but it doesn't matter in the land of internet. All of the projects are the same album, mixtape project. They all just try to misconstrue, you know, smoke and mirrors to get you not to get you to believe it's low quality or whatever. They'd be like, oh, it's a mixtape, so you should be okay with this low quality. I know my brother is a project. So anyways,

the last project from Pluto was mixtape Pluto that came out November 1st, 2024. Of course, we covered that very insane run. I think that's one of the first times we've ever seen an artist before the goat. Is it okay? I got my dope on me? Not I think about it. Did he get that idea from Future? Because Future dropped three albums, technically.

Well, we don't trust you. We still don't trust you. Mixed-A-Pluto. All of them sold phenomenal and went number one on Billboard. You know what I'm saying? You know what I mean? We're talking about Future, by the way. So when we're talking about somebody dropping three projects at one time, which is the first

time ever, which is what the goat did as far as Drake. Future technically dropped three albums, but it was in the span of, I think under five or four months, something like that. Because 1st of November, 2024 is when Mix-A Pluto came out. And March 22nd, 2024 is when we don't trust you came out. So yeah, there was definitely some time in between those. So a little different than the Drake rollout. But the reason why I bring up Drake, you know what I'm saying? Is it okay?

I got my dope on me? It's because finally we got another hip-hop pioneer to carry the legacy of the genre on the charts. you know what I'm saying like some would say that Jermaine was supposed to be nah some would say Jermaine was supposed to be that person right then he just dropped off the fall off album very ironic because people say he's in the top three but he's not having top three type of longevity what in the world so anyways future's doing phenomenal on the charts when it comes to the projection sales i think it's around 135 000 i know what josea that's nowhere near what Jermaine did of course i would give you that point the main thing

I wanted to talk about was future and him being so active in the musical landscape, even though it has been two years, right? Mix date Pluto was the last project from future. November 1st, 2024, it is July 10th as far as when the album came out, 26. So that was a significant gap. But with him selling this amount, with this being his, who knows what actual project he's on, because we're just talking about albums. The mixtape's from Pluto back in the days on SpinRilla. if we're counting knows this man has a crazy amount of projects. But the main thing I want to get at was him having 22 tracks total on the project. And of course I listened to it, so I'm going to give my personal review of it in a second.

But you know over here a notorious mass effect, getting into the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses, we have to start with the actual analytical data from the album because the real me, as far as the future fans out there, as far as the masses, they've already spoken. So Future Chart Analytics slated for July 25th, we already have the most popular tracks from The Real Me, a chronological order. So without further ado, when it comes to the most successful track off of Future's album, The Real Me, very interesting how California Girls, which is one of my favorite tracks off of the album, is his most successful track off of the album currently slated to be the 24th most play track in the world. So everybody who loves California girls,

I mean, everybody who loves the California girls track about future. Safe to say you'd be very pleased to know that your effect is and has made that track the most popular track off of the album. And of course, slated for the 27th most played track in the world, you have F in Air Review. Now, of course, it's a PG podcast, so I'm just going to say that F stands for phenomenal. So with that being said, that's the second best performer track off of the album.

And then you have, and now I'm just going to just read off the rest of them. So you have one, two, set to be the 30th most played track off of the album no 30th most played track in the world slated for July 25th so hopefully you don't get that confused and the actual track is titled one two slayed to be the 30th 30th most played track in the world then we have tank top Pluto slated to be the 37 most play track in the world

we have weighed up set to be the 45th most play track radio which is already a single for the album but that's set to be at 46 snow and sky amy that said to be the 40th 7th. I love that beat, by the way, that airy type beat where it's like you're actually filling the air while listening to the track. I can't explain it. I said, I can't explain it. But you know, the atmosphere of the track is atmospheric, you know what I'm saying? If that's even a saying. Anyways, so when they have no misery set to be the 50th most played track in the world. And then you have trench coat set to be the 58th most played track. And then I know,

I'm my fault I know that ain't who I think it is I know that is not the I know that is not the now when I get into my personal review I'm going to expound upon this but once again this is a PG podcast

all I'm gonna say is it starts with a build and then it ends with a female dog I kiss you not so that being said that's set to be the 61st most played track in the world

and you have money over everything one of my favorites off of the album set to be the 69th most played track in the world and then of course you have off the hinge. I said like the day nap when I listened to the track,

I don't think he brought up the day nap at all. He was just talking about actually off the hinge. That's slated to be the 81st most play track in the world and then my favorite. I kid you not, boy. I know that ain't who I think of it is. When I saw this track, I was like, you guys.

See, that's the problem. And then I kept listening to it over and over. And I came to realize that Future found himself a very unique flow with his track 2018. Now, of course, with that particular, track, it is slated to be the 86 most played track in the world. So with that be it said, let's transition into if I could, my future set to be the 96. Think as you, no, no, that's Riley Green, my fault. And then kick is in the last slide as far as the 99th most played track

in the world, as far as future chart analytics slated for July 25th. Now, I'm not going to lie to you. when it comes to me giving objective coverage, I have to keep it eight more than 92. It does not seem like this particular album will stand the test of time. Now, I know what you're saying. Didn't you just give Jermaine Flack for not being able to keep the fall off on the charts?

Even though they say he has like one of the biggest fan bases in hip hop. I did say that. So with that being said, I will have to say that it is seeming as if the real me will have, if not worse, it seems like he's going to have a worse drop off than the fall off. Now, that's just me keeping it eight more than 92, so you never can say I'm biased.

You know what I'm saying? When it comes to future and his album, he has 22 tracks on the charts. I believe, as far as what I just read off, there was only 15 of them on the charts. Now, one of them that threw me off was Alice not being on the top 100, because currently that's my favorite track off of the album. So when it comes to actual sales,

I have to talk about this all the time because you talk about the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses. But when it comes to actual quality, it does not correlate with streams. What I mean by that is just because you sell a lot does not mean you make the highest quality. And just because you don't sell a lot does not mean you make abysmal garbage. The two do not correlate. So when it comes to future, even though I am going to have to give him the same rhetoric that I gave to Jermaine, his long-lasting ability with this album is not seeming like it's possible. It's not seem implausible.

It's seeming like it's going to come and go. But what I will say is, I believe that he put out a solid album. Now, of course, I may be a little bias. I may be a little bias because your man was in Houston, Texas. And if there's any place that a future album could... Ladies and gentlemen, let's just say I was in. DreamCon convention and Future dropped an album and maybe I'm a little biased because that was the perfect soundtrack to my weekend. I kid you not. I kid you not. Future could have found a better

time to drop that album for me personally. So I'm looking at it from a skewed lens. But I will say a lot of people critiquing the album, I think they're justified, but they just don't know future. Sometimes Future will put out an album seeming like he's very intentional about the direction as far as I never liked you, which I still believe is one of the future's best albums, in my opinion. But when you look at the album with Metro, those two albums, I thought was phenomenal as well. Now, mixtape Pluto, I feel like he took a little step back from that direction, right? And then, of course, the real me, I feel like it's a continuation of mixtape Pluto as far as him taking a step back as far as lack of direction. Now, I'm not saying this is a bad album.

I'm just saying that there's about four to five tracks off of the album that I would go back to and listen as far as because it's already on my plate list like I'm a huge future fan but when it comes to my favorite tracks off of here once again I like the Alice track I did like

the California girls track so it's interesting that that's the most successful track off the album as of right now so those two tracks I enjoyed the most off of the album what else

I like money over everything and I kid you not I love 2018 like at first I was like bro what is this man doing and I listen to it over and over again which, you know, may be that programming because I wasn't Houston. But 2018, in certain spots, I mean, you know, in the totality of music, and just sonically, shout to all my RDC fans. Sonically, 2018, I just think grew on me.

And it's one of my favorite tracks off of the album. I kid you not. So what's that for? If I had to go five, because it's really only four or five, honestly. Let me see. Oh, Hollywood. I do like the Hollywood. I like the way he went with that Hollywood.

It seemed like a punk, rockish type of vibe he was going for. Maybe I'm off with the genre. But it definitely was an alt genre type of direction for future. It wasn't hip hop in my opinion. The way he went with that specific track, I just enjoy artists taking experimental chances with their albums, which is probably why I like Alice. It's probably why I like Hollywood.

Try to see any other tracks. He took a chance with it. I mean, definitely took a chance for 2018. It's probably why I like that one. I mean, so there's definitely a pattern with me as far as my favorite tracks off of the album. But in totality, I would not be mad if people say that this is a bad future album, comparing it to his other, comparing it to his discography. Because I don't know if he's just phoning in an album to get paid by, who's he under?

He's, saw what, no? Saw Luna. What in the actual? I ain't no way, boy. We got to do some Mickey Research for this one. I ain't never seen this. What? see what?

All right. After doing a little Mickey research, safe to say the Saluna management company is what future, it's future's own artist management slash holding company. Okay, shout out the future

finally getting his business in order. Y'all know he went through that whole thing with, I don't think it was Scooter. It was with somebody that he had to turn in all type of albums for, which is why we got Future and then Hendricks back to back because he was getting out of some type of deal. But, because if you look at 2017, let me see,

It says, Epic Records, the division of Sony Entertainment. And then I don't think I've ever seen this future company before. Beast Mode 2. Yeah, okay, still Epic Records. Okay, let's look at Pluto, baby Pluto. God, that's a collab album, so that don't count. Let's look at I Never Liked You in 2022. Yeah, still Epic Records.

Okay, let's look at the Metro albums. Those are collab albums, so that really doesn't. It just says Metro's label. Mixed-A-P Pluto. It says Will Burn, Holden Company, under exclusive license to Epic Records. So yeah, this is the first time we've ever seen

an independent company from Future being listed as one of the credits under an album. I ain't gonna lie, okay, Future? This man actually trying to move up in the business world. That's what's like right there. I've never seen that before.

But anyways, getting back to my point just in case y'all are lost. This is the first time we've ever seen this credit under an album, under a future album, which the credit I'm talking about is Saw Luna Man.

which is futures own artist management slash holding company and hold it owns the masters and copyrights for the new project oh hold on now rebranded entity tied to future and probably going alongside as free bands slash will burn holding's code setup so he just switched the name interesting so all of these future releases are under his own management I guess because he did sell I think he just sold his master I forget for how much, but it's from a business perspective, I think this is more interesting than his actual album. I kid you not, it's not nothing to phone home about.

It's not the greatest album in the world. It's not terrible, but, you know, I just gave you my favorites. And after that, I kid you not. After that, don't get mad to me when you listen to the rest of the album, you'd be like, this some garbage, you know what I'm hey. Y'all said it not me. So anyways, you know, the future, the real me album, slated to be the first most play album in the world.

When it comes to the business side of the, things i did want to look up one more thing as far as futures uh revenue earned from him selling his masters because i know that was a lot and again let me see okay all right after a little mickey research i had to look that up because you know we're a hall of fame pocket watchers over here so basically future did not sell his masters he sold his publishing catalog which is songwriting slash publishing rights. He sold it September 22nd and it was announced around

September 20th, September 20th, September 20th, so no, no. It was announced between September 20th to 21. But basically, he sold the publishing rights to 612 songs, goodness. No wonder Future puts out so much music. And all of that was from 2004 to 2020 and included big hits like Masked Off, Life,

good jump man in collaborations with drake the weekend kendrick rihanna etc how much did he sell it for it that's all i want to know okay so basically future sold his publishing for 65 to 75 million dollars interesting i'm not going to lie to you since we have that technicality of him actually not selling his masters in just his publishing and catalog which you know it's still a lie but it's not his master's so technically him still controlling the actual masters but selling off his songwriting royalties as far as what the composer earns when the song is streamed played covered etc the masters is the actual sound recordings meaning that these are still controlled by his saluna management which we just covered earlier licensing deal with epic record slash sony

so future has no plans on selling his master recordings interesting so technically he just just, you know, a little songwriting pub here for somebody else, and they gave him $65 to $75 million for it. You know, I was wondering, I was like, I feel like Future's catalogs is worth way more than that. But if it's not as Masters, then I guess that makes sense. So after looking deeper into this, this is a big business play for Future,

not only for him having the Masters under his Saluna company, which we've seen just for the first time, Saluna Management Company. Once again, Future's own artist management slash hold and company. I'll be interested to see if any of his underlings, as far as his sidekicks, if they release under this management

company as well, or if this is like a one off for him and he's going to go back to free bands. I think it's usually free bands, which is what his label's under, I believe. So the last thing I wanted to get into was future as far as his trajectory

being at his age. You know what I'm saying? No, I got to do it because ladies and gentlemen, nobody does this in hip hop I don't know I mean nobody does this a future in hip hop because he's so well respected but future is 42 years old right

his subject matter is very simplistic for somebody who's 42 years of age now I'm not trying to cast aspersgence on anybody that's growing old because Drake is pushing 40 you know what I'm saying is it okay I got my dope on me

and his subject matter at times could be repetitive. But you have the specific lyrical tracks that gets into him talking about his age. I mean, he literally dives deep into his age on the away tracks. Every track off of the Iceman album

that starts with away is his lyrical tracks deep dive. No, I'm talking about make, my fault. I was thinking of for all the dogs. Every track that starts off with make, that is the lyric. tracks with him reflecting on his life and what's going on in it currently. So he even says or make them cry that he's battling ages. He's battling aging or something like that. So he brought up his

age. Now, you know, somebody who could kill less about his age and still talking about the same subject matter? It's future hindrance. Is the world going to say anything about it? It's the hip-hop community going to say anything about it. Of course not. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop. Like, what's going on? So somebody, if I have to be the bad guy, the bearer of bad news future is 42 years of age still rapping about the same old 25 euros what in the actual you guys see that's the problem now of course he doesn't need to go the j z route as far as rapping oh this is the medicine i'm taking to stay alive he don't have to go that route right but a little reflection from future would be phenomenal right him getting into his bag of growing older

while also balancing the subject matter that people are used to from him it's something that that I think Drake did on Iceman, especially once again, because you know, you know, I like, you know, I like one of my inspirations. I just don't like it, man. You know, like, you know. I just don't like that shit, man. Unlike how he was Hall of Fame gas lit by Charlemagne. I actually come overseas. So when it comes to Drake, to make them crowd track, the make them pay track, he's talking about big boy business as far as actual aging as far as monetary gains.

he's trying to make through going at UMG, which he has a lot of Lucien Grange type of lines, which you have to dive deep into to understand what he's saying. And then of course, don't forget to make them no track, basically highlighting a lot of grown up type things as far as where he wants to take his career and how he wants to be compensated monetarily for that, right? He's not just talking about certain things as far as the three subject matters, the Holy Trinity of subject matters in hip hop. He's actually getting. getting into certain grown-up-esque things as far as business and aging and trying to get that across and his music and be transparent, right?

I mean, Drake literally said one time in his, was it, make them pay? Yeah, no, make them cry. So Drake literally said, I'll make them cry. I don't take ayahuasca because I'm too scared of reflecting or something like that. Like, it's those type of bars that lets you know where somebody is at mentally for future. I think he had one time, do you have one time when he took? when he said something like that? I don't think so.

Future's age is just a non-issue in hip-hop. And they wouldn't be a bad thing if he actually has subject matter, age-appropriate type topics like Drake does throughout his albums. But the whole thing is just, I'm having this many girls. I'm having that many girls.

I'm having this many drinks. I'm having that many drugs. Like, you know, at some point, my brother, you 49. Come on, man. So anyways, that's my last. Anyways, that's my last little tip bit on future, but not too much on future. You know, I still thoroughly enjoy the album.

Once again, I think I have a skewed perspective because of my location. But let's just say at the end of the day, I thought it was a solid project by future from future Hendrix.
