The album was home to lots of big features, including appearances from Jeremih, Future, Offset, and others. Recently, the rapper made a statement on Instagram suggesting that he was working on something new. If rapping on beat wasn't a talent, G Herbo may be the greatest rapper to ever live. But anyways, so G. Herbo has just dropped an album, an entire album, but he's calling it a mixtape. But you know, at the end of the day, I always got a pocket check for these rappers because I know under their major labels, they're not telling them it's a mixtape. They're telling them it's a project that counts towards their contract completion. Because there's a certain number of projects you have to put out when you're under a major label.

And for G Herbo, if I was to look that up right quick, he is under Machine Entertainment Group LLC. I don't know what that is. I have to look that up. I've never seen that before in my life. Machine Entertainment Group LLC. G Herbo explains why he's drawing Republic Records. Wow, so he's like under, is G Herbo in the G League?

I'm not even trying to be funny. So he's signed to Republic Records. He's under Machine Entertainment. Because I know majors. So this is sometimes what majors do to artists. They have development labels that they send them to, which sounds so bad. But it's really not when like,

G Herbo is already accomplished and, you know, solidified in this game. But still, being sent to like the subsidiary or I don't even know the lower division of a major label as far as support seems a little off. And that's probably why he came out and had to issue a whole statement on why he even joined. Let's see why he joined. He said he's giving back to his hometown Chicago in more ways than one. So basically he's saying he ain't getting paid. So he's not telling him that this is a mixed day. He's telling him it's a project that counts towards completion. Because let's say you sign a huge $60 million deal for like five years, five to six years, right? Then the number of projects is where it trips artists up because sometimes major labels have say when you can and can't drop and you have say. So they could be like, oh, it's not the right time for years past and they've only let you drop two albums. So sometimes it gets into that.

It is way more complicated than that. I was just giving an example. But for G. Herbo right now, it seems like he's just enjoying his new contract with releasing a project that it seems like his fans are going to love. Because if it's a sequel, usually one thing about hip hop artists and sequels is they never make a sequel off of the bad album or the album that nobody liked. So I'm, I would just, I would probably say that strictly for my fans, the original was well received by fans. Now, will this sequel be received as far as the same?
