Starting point is 00:00:01 Now, when it comes to Ghost of Yote, we already know PlayStation is not playing around. Pun intended. Shepard. Just look at the state of gaming. Like, what is going on? As the state of gaming, having not only Marvel token under the belt, but then of course, Ghost of Yote, which is, you know, the sequel to Ghost of Tashima, if you don't know, that one game of the year back. When did it win?
Starting point is 00:00:29 Let me say, Ghost of Tashima. When did it win game of the year? Don't tell me it came out 2020. 2020, goodness. I didn't know it came out that long ago. Game of the year. That makes me feel old. It feels like it just came out yesterday.
Starting point is 00:00:43 So, it won a game of the year at the Navigator Awards in Mitsu. But let me see, we want to proceed to game of the year. Let me see. I think it went at the game award show. But actually, let me double check that. Because I do believe. okay let me see did tishima so i wanted at another award show but we're trying to see the game award show she won the game of the year and the game award show because as far as that
Starting point is 00:01:20 award astroba won it um okay so goes to tishima did not win oh because yeah that was a huge controversy. So if y'all don't remember, the Game Awards show back in 2020, Goseiote was slated as far as one of the nominees for Game of the Year, but it lost two the Last of Us Part 2. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the game to everybody's clamoring over as far as the choice of how they took Joel's character, that ultimately ended up winning Game of the Year in 2020. And, you know, I mean, I guess it makes sense because they did end up winning a TV show. I mean, not TV show. Yeah, they ended up having a TV show that a lot of people enjoyed. I mean, I think it's because of Pedro Pascal, but at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:02:04 they have a lot of great source material as far as the game. So it makes sense that it won, but it really doesn't make sense. It actually doesn't make sense at all that it won. But it did. It won in 2020 over goes to Tsushima. So anyways, with that being said, the main reason why I'm saying that is because it's more of a sequel to that and is developed once again by Sucker Punch Productions. And the game, It's set to come out October 2nd of this year. So with that being said, I was definitely wanting to get into the gameplay reaction
Starting point is 00:02:32 for people who are interested in Ghost of Tsushima, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio because we're about to get into the gameplay of Ghosts of Yote right now. Not going to lie right off the bat. A lot of people are going to be comparing this to Assassin Creek Shadows, which honestly, I think the only reason we got Shadows is because, one, Ubisoft was under a lot of turmoil. because of was it tinsent i think it was tinsent and um somebody else let me see because they got acquired
Starting point is 00:03:19 i don't think it was tinsent let me see ubsoft i'm actually looking at my podcast for this one the ums second license ubsop shares oh yeah okay the ubsop shares and then there was something else with 10 was it tins or another am i getting it confused with another place let me see okay i know the gulma family was a part of that so the gulma family the is Ubisoft. Oh yeah. See, I mean, that's why you follow the podcast. You know what we'll be talking about some stuff in the game industry. Alongside Tinsen, a significant shareholder were contemplating moving to take Ubisoft private because of the financial downturns and unsuccessful game releases. And then of course, guess what came out? Shadows. What type of setting was Assassin Creed Shadow fans wanting for the longest Japan? So now when you have Gosa Yote coming out now, but Gosa Tashima,
Starting point is 00:04:13 really laid the groundwork but then of course the financial downturns and the unsuccessful game releases because if you don't remember star wars outlaws was literally the first ever open world star wars game yes ladies and gentlemen if you look it up star wars outlaws was the first ever open world game now of course people are going to say battlefield but that's more of a team death match um battlefield type of game star wars outlaws was was the first ever gta like game as far as having an open world with a lot of side missions and things of that's uh things of that nature to go alongside it so somehow ubyself handling that project fumbled it completely to the point where the guemaw family and tinson was going to take it private so now as far as them giving us the
Starting point is 00:05:01 japan game and ultimately that game is performing well so they should do better in in general but ultimately tinsen also bought and acquired a lot of shares into ubossov so now that's they have a certain division as far as into um into tinson i mean into ubsop i wonder how much they have ubsop shares okay it came out not too long ago so uh let me see ubsuff shares drop they keep talking about ubsop shares dropping okay so this is what i was talking about so tinson invested one billion into new subsidiary for ubbson So it's a new chapter for Ubisoft. And the reason why I'm talking about Ubisoft is because people going to think, oh, this is
Starting point is 00:05:48 Assassin Creek Shadows clone, which, you know, to those people, they probably don't play a lot of games. But ultimately, Ubisoft only did this because of the financial downturns. Sucker Punch been on this wave of making, I'm not going to say dark sozy like games, but I mean, I guess, yeah, no, not I guess. It's definitely a dark sozy game. And it's said in Japan. So I think Sucker Punch beat, well, pun intended to beat Ubisoft to the punch with this. uh tishima so to follow this up with yote it makes sense why the setting is like this the only reason i'm kind of hesitant on this gameplay is because i don't know why they're using
Starting point is 00:06:36 this camera it's it's like it has me wondering like is that it like one in the world like there's just no way that was it let me see gameplay trailer okay they have one there's one minute and 33 seconds because this one we just watched came out 11 hours ago because i had to make sure to look at the timestamp i was like no way they only gave us like the 40 seconds of gameplay Let me see. This one actually has some more. Because obviously we've seen gameplay, but this is like real like what the game's actually gonna look like instead of the free cam, make it look more cinematic. Well, I don't think this game gonna be E for everyone. That I could tell off the bat.
Starting point is 00:07:39 I ain't a lot to you, bro. How many weapons does she have? She just used a crossbow. I mean, she just used a bow and arrow. She's throwing around that little javelin with fire on it. She's still got two sores on her. She is artilleryed up. It looks like that's a mechanic. The whole put the fire on the shield to break it. I will say the blood doesn't look the greatest,
Starting point is 00:08:29 but you know, that's me nitpicking. But as far as overall, the gameplay looks solid. It seems like a lot of people have fun. And of course, if there's anything like Gosa Tashima, you know a lot of people are going to enjoy the gameplay loop. So that being said, as you can see right here, available October 2nd, 2025. At the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:08:45 If you're a huge ghost of Yote fan, definitely make sure to click my link to you in my bio. Let me know, let me know in one of my social medias. What are you most looking forward to in Ghost of Yote? And do you think it could replicate the same magic and quality that Ghost of Tashima did?
