Starting point is 00:00:00 Now the female money bag, I mean, Glorilla is back again to give us a classic. And when I say a classic, I mean a hood classic. Because let me tell you, this is classic material-like garbage. In general, what I like to start with is that women artists usually use the looks to get above and beyond in the music industry. So one thing I like about Glorilla is that she really heavily. puts out lyrical content that has quality attached to it
Starting point is 00:00:35 so everybody takes it serious as a rapper. As far as physically and how she looks, always subjective, of course. But for the most part, people are fickle and I believe that the way that Glorilla raps
Starting point is 00:00:51 also, along with her public image, is the way that lyrically puts her ahead of the pack but statistically and popularity-wise of course everybody's just walking around saying what is it
Starting point is 00:01:10 uh he a munch or something like that I know hear munch I forget how it goes but basically they quote in Ice Spice lyrics and you can probably guess why that's all I'm gonna say so if y'all want to call me
Starting point is 00:01:23 um I don't know what would y'all call me because is y'all doing it not me I'll be champion Gloverlla. Everybody else would be like Ice Price. Like, oh, he'll much. Like, I forget what she says. But anyways, Gloverlla is back again with her empowering brand new track.
Starting point is 00:01:40 That's what I said in the article. Had to read it like that. That was pretty funny. Internet trolls, which serves as a pushback anthem to exactly that. Online haters. But let me take some. So this track, it has quotables in a sense. Glorilla says at a certain point,
Starting point is 00:01:57 You could be who you want to be. Live how you want to live. Stunt how you want to stunt. Give what you post a give. Say what you want to say. Feel how you want to feel. They should keep going. Sometimes I think they be forgetting the internet a fairy tale.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Slash. Teach that N word because this is a PG podcast for the people. But in person, he an expeditive. Slash. They be gangster on the booth. But in the papers be a snitch. now hold up i did not know we were throwing gunned tell those shots like honestly if gunna was gonna tell then he should just switch to gunned teller on the spot because that would have been
Starting point is 00:02:38 genius marketing just let people know you're gonna tell before and then snitch on everybody in the organization but he's still trying to keep his gun attack which at this point it's over for that little baby i followed him little dirk i followed him nobody's co-signing him being out you know nobody's happy nobody like just think about it you yeah haven't seen one major artist come out and be like, I'm glad Gunners home. Nobody. And it's a, it's a shame, man. It's really a shame that the streets have taken over hip hop as, as much as it has, you know. But anyways, getting back to the Glorilla. So, yeah, she put out this track and I just can't lie, man, it's just absolutely, you know, positively, unequivocally, you know, just garbage. You know,
Starting point is 00:03:18 it's one of those type of tracks where even as a Glorilla fan, as I do call myself, I really wanted to like this track. And it's just not good. It's a, it's a, very formulaic. The way she's rapping is like she's trying to make another F&F, which I think that's why the whole sophomore slump for artists even exist in the first place, because when you create that hit, right? When you create a hit
Starting point is 00:03:39 and then you try to replicate that hit, I feel like in general you end up making the same track. And it's not that the baby feel, it's just like you're doing what's work. What's work? You're doing what it works. If it's not broke, don't fix it. And for
Starting point is 00:03:56 Glorilla, she's learning that it's potentially showing cracks as internet trolls is being clowned on the internet, ironically. You never win with the internet, and that's the thing I wanted to end with. You go against the internet, you will always lose. You either have to lean into the joke, or just act like the joke never happened. And for Glorilla to put our internet trolls, obviously, it could have been the anthem, but guess where she's promoting the track, guess what she's going to, guess what people's going to be streaming the track, guess what people are going to be buying the track? internet so internet trolls are gonna troll that track that you're even trying to troll them on like it's not really a positive outlook either way so i think if she would just focus on being the best
Starting point is 00:04:42 lyrical up-and-coming rapper i think she could have got off on that i think she could have had like a nicky minage feature easily and nicky minage would have hopped on the track and um because i think carty b already hopped on a gloverillardy track so now i mean if you don't know about the cardy and nicky beef then you you probably should at this point but you do something with cardy and you're ultimately a villain for uh niki minage for the rest of the for your rest of your career honestly i mean just look at lotto nicknmanage calling her scratch off every chance she gets i mean literally look it up nicknage nicknames lotto scratch off like it's a real thing so anyways um yeah so you never win with the internet and the way she's going about it i think it's not as smart as her marketing team probably
Starting point is 00:05:25 thinks it is. So anyways, um, Globe Rilla Internet Trolls is one of those type of tracks where I wanted to like it, ended up listening to it, and I think one of my ears fell off. But anyways, uh, click my link to you in my bio. Let me know on one of my social media is. What do you think about Gloverillian's track called Internet Trolls? And do you think that she can bounce back from this miss?
