Shepard promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for free content
Shepard just look at the state of gaming like what is going on
Shepard I mean the laugh oh my goodness
Safe to say uh ladies and gentlemen we are not getting into that particular game we're getting into that actual
gameplay loop of Gossip Harbor which that fake ad I mean it technically wasn't a fake ad
it was fake bro i kid you not bro
so essentially when it comes to gossip harbor
a lot of these fake ads have been percolating through the internet
but guess what ladies and gentlemen
when it comes to this platform as far as covering the gaming and music IPs
that notoriously affected mass is safe to say there's a real game
off of that ad that is very misconstruiting
the actual gameplay loop as we're about to get into
and you'll see in the second as you're not just
just choosing, oh, new life will fight back.
There's an actual gameplay loop to Gossip Harbor,
which is why, ladies and gentlemen,
as far as over Gossip Harbor's lifetime,
it sold over 720 million in-app purchases.
So when it comes to in-app purchase revenue monthly,
it generates over 63 million.
That was, well, no, that was the peak for November 2025,
and a record for Gossip Harbor specifically.
And of course, when it comes to the developer
and publisher of this specific game,
which is Microfund Limited based out of China,
their portfolio hit $150 million.
And you're probably thinking to yourself,
what is their top revenue earner,
a revenue driver for that specific company?
Well, ladies and gentlemen, you're looking at it.
Shepard, just look at the state of gaming.
Like, what is going on?
So when it comes to the actual fake ads that's percolating through the internet for Gossip Harbor,
safe to say this is very similar to when I covered another mobile game.
I forget what it was called.
I think it was, no, it wasn't Royal.
It wasn't Royal Match.
It was another specific game.
I think it was, oh yeah, Last War Survival.
So this game reminds me of Last War Survival, how the ads definitely are misconstruiting the actual gameplay loop.
But when you dive into the facts of this specific mobile game that the game like the ads are based off of, is actually very successful, which makes you wonder, why do they do that in the first place?
All this money and they decide to deceive you as making you think you're about to go through a sim-like experience.
But really, Gossip Harbor is one of the more successful mobile games ever, like ever released.
and when it launched globally July 2022, of course, if you don't know, the gameplay loop is emerged to puzzle gameplay.
Once again, Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
There's the soap opera storytelling, restaurant, restoration, and aggressive live service events.
Which, what type of mobile game would it be without gotcha elements?
You guys.
So we'll get to that in the second.
But as of right now, in the year of 2026, apparently people on the business side call this a shark fin type of increase, meaning that its longevity is more impressive than basically.
It didn't just blow up out the gate, right?
Over time, it just accumulated more customers and gamers on their particular game, oh, year over year, right?
So sort of like notorious mass effect
You know, shout to all my supporters over there
You know what I'm saying?
But I just
I just gave them
All right
So anyways
With that being said
Gossip Harbor ladies and gentlemen
Is a phenomenal hit
How big of a hit is it?
I mean we basically just gotten into it
It's one of the biggest mobile games out
Currently
And it didn't start like that
When it first came out
In 2008
It had a
2008
I'm tripping
When it first came
out. Let me find the date again. July, was it July? Yeah, July 2022, essentially speaking,
it had a steady but slow launch, but an explosive expansion during 2024, 2026, and of course,
continuing the timeline, you have mid-2025 as far as lifetime revenue exceeding 100 million
USD.
October, 24 peak
peaked
as far as the monthly end-app purchases
where the revenue accumulated
to about 62 million
USD.
And of course, the reason why I keep saying USB
is because it's in one and I translated,
converted it into USB. So that's why
you know. So anyways,
daily revenue peaks of 500,000
USD per day. What in the actual?
Yo.
Just look at the state of game.
mobile gamers what is going on you may have to have a real discussion with your mobile
gamers you know what i'm saying no because you know this what y'all doing with your time you guys
i mean you know i'm not trying to act all high and mighty as far as in the gaming industry
because to be fair your mobile gamers make the world go around as far as the gaming industry so
when it comes to the mammoth amount of money this mobile game is generating some people would be
completely oblivious to just how big gossip harbor is because of the fake ads once again
percolating through the internet which we're probably going to watch that video again it was actually
it wasn't funny but it was it was crazy um so anyways let's before we get back into that let's
let's finish with the timeline so late 2025 the cumulative in-app purchases revenue was about
700 million plus usd and of course half of this year 2026 overseas revenue reached two
point seven for a billion
one, which is approximately
377 million
USD. What in the actual?
Boy, that's crazy.
They are printing, as far as they,
I'm specifically talking about
microfund, which is once again the developers
and publishers of the specific game.
They are printing money hand over fist.
And when it comes to regional
performance, since United States generated nearly
50% of the revenue during
peak periods, which brings me back
to my ultimate point y'all mobile gamers out there are not making it easy for executives to not
think of how do we make a live service game because it's this type of revenue that makes every
executive think to themselves you know what just maybe we can have a live service hit on our hands
and that's how we get concord shepherd that's my fault and then that's how we get engaged
all right my fault i'm done so basically when it comes to this specific mobile game um
as far as in South Korea's grossing chart, it reached number 19, and that was May
26. Now, as of July 26, it's still one of the more played mobile games ever. So it's currently
rising at a pace that is just undeniable. And some could say that the major criticisms as far
as the gameplay loop having certain pay-to-win elements,
And when I say pay to win, I'm basically saying that it gets difficult to the point where
if you're not purchasing certain things, then it's basically impossible to continue, which is
essentially pay to win.
So it's not like, oh, we're locking this content behind a paywall.
It's basically we're going to make it so difficult that if you don't purchase something,
then, oh, my other game is playing.
This is why I just reviewed.
So if you don't purchase the game, then essentially, um,
If you don't purchase the actual additive to help you out with that specific level, then you're just not going to progress.
So technically they don't lock you out, but they make it hard enough to where you probably want to purchase something, which is where the pay-to-win accusations come from.
Now, I think this gameplay loop is pretty simplistic.
I mean, as you can see right here, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio, you're essentially playing a merged two puzzle gameplay with soap opera storytellers.
So at the end of the day, this whole game leads back into a merge to puzzle gameplay loop,
which is why I compare this game to Last War Survival,
because when you look at the actual advertisements for this specific game,
it's very Last War Survival-esque as far as them completely throwing away the actual identity of the game for clickbait retention.
They want you to watch their ad instead of actually telling you what the core game play.
loop is about once again you know I just want a excuse to transition into this video once more
because this is an insane video ladies and gentlemen this is insane first of all what is the main
doing there you know what I'm saying like this is crazy I mean she slapped the mess out of him
mind you this is his wife and kids so instead of showing you the core gameplay loop which is this
ladies and gentlemen this is the core gameplay loop right here they would rather show you
a salacious ad like this just to get you to watch it not just completely doing away with the
entire gameplay loop they was like why they need to know the gameplay loop just so show them something
salacious and hope they don't get mad right which is a very uh interesting business model if i do say so
myself but obviously it's worked out so far so that's one of the uh things that a lot of people are
saying that when it comes to the marketing it's very dramatic it has non gameplay scenes
this would be the gameplay that they should show in their ads.
For some reason, they don't do it.
But hey, that's why your boy, analytic dreams is here to point it out.
So the main thing I wanted to talk about when it came to Gossip Harbor is that the reason why we dove into Gossip Harbor and the release date for this game being in 2022 is because in the year of 2026 is often top five to 10 global as far as grossing revenue.
So this game is so popular to the point where you wouldn't even understand why so many executives try to go with a live service model until you see a game like Gossip Harbor.
I believe there's industry experts behind the scenes saying that Marvel is putting together some type of mobile game.
And I'll be interested to see how that plays out because, of course, I believe, I forget what it's called, Future Fight.
I think that's what it's called.
that is currently a live service
and that's doing well
but I think this specific game
which I believe we covered Future Fight before
Let me see
Future Fight
I don't think we did
Let me see Marvel
Maybe that wasn't the name of it
Marvel
I'm seeing Mobile
Okay yeah I definitely can't find it
So essentially speaking
When it comes to Marvel in the mobile games
They have Future Fight
I think they have another one
As far as the Spider-Man
Like running subway service type game
Marvel is not hurting
when it comes to cash.
But these type of games, as far as Gossip Harbour,
makes them want to go out the box
and make a live service for the sake of revenue.
And when you look at the gameplay loop of Gossip Harbor,
when you look at how much money they're making monthly,
once again, in late 2025,
they generated $700 million plus dollars,
$700 million plus off of a merged two puzzle gameplay loop.
I think you can start to understand
why executives would be like, you know what, maybe we just need to make a lot of service and
everything would be all right. So when it comes to that, diving into the actual review roundup
of this game, because it's really not too much to get into, I mean, there's the core two-match,
two-merge puzzle gameplay loop, the soap opera narrative, I mean, that's there. It's really not
other options as far as gameplay in this specific game. The puzzles is basically it. And,
And if you don't like the puzzles, well, then don't play the game.
You know what I'm saying?
That's it.
That's all they got.
So getting into the review roundups of this game, as far as what the masses are enjoying or not enjoying about this game, because the reviews are all over the place.
But let's start with, let's see, let's start with Cassie, no, Kathy Mullins from Google Play that gave it a 5 at a 5 for gameplay, but overall lower, basically saying, quote, I really enjoy this game.
and if i were only rating the game play itself it would be a five however as you progress
in the game the energy requirements become ridiculous higher level items can easily take 3 000
plus energy to achieve and you can't earn enough energy in a day to complete that one task
you guys see that's the problem the only way to continue to progress is to purchase in-game items
The ads call it a free game, but it's really not.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at that.
And then we have another review, which this is from, uh, well, no, that's also from
Google Play.
I do want to switch it up a little bit.
Okay, so this is from the app store for Melody Sweet Spirit saying, quote,
overall, this game is great.
And so is the story.
That being said, I need to say.
Number one, the pop-ups before getting to play the game are nothing but annoying.
I can't do anything.
And I need to close out about five tabs in a row with the buffer period in between.
I know she upset.
You got it.
You know what I'm saying?
Come on now.
Number two, the photo albums events is incredibly difficult to complete these albums.
I never finished the whole book ever.
Now, of course, when it comes to this particular limited time events, I did have some actual research on that.
as when it comes to the most popular limited time events,
which is essentially what makes this game increasingly get popular over time,
Lori's Doe Derby.
Apparently that's the most popular limited time event for this specific game.
It had competitive race tying into main merge slash orders for coin slash points,
antagonistic character adds story flavor.
And of course, when it came to the overall gameplay loop,
people love the character of Lori.
Lori once up
And then of course
When it comes to the gameplay loop
I think it just made them dive once
It made them dive back into the game once again
Because fun fact
I know y'all may be saying
Who cares about a character being added
To spice up the story
If you don't know ladies and gentlemen
Gossip Harbor
And as demographic
It's 70%
No no no
79% women
So when you look at their primary audience
outside of the 79% of the players being female,
it has older millennials, casual gamers,
and narrative-focused players.
So people are really enjoying
Gossip Harbor off of the drama.
Now listen to me.
When it comes to Love Island,
that same type of appeal that people enjoy
as far as a TV movie aspect,
I don't think Love Islands has a movie,
but as far as a TV show aspect,
it's the same type of enjoyment
that gamers of Gossip Harbor have.
they just love the drama literally so and when it comes to the mystery the relationships personal
expression um the restoration gameplay i mean as you can see right now the dialogue is is insane
so they enjoyed the drama which is why approximately 79 percent of this player base is female so
you know you know what i'm saying hey did i scare them off i think i scared them
all right my fault let me just keep going all right so basically um when you get back into the
review roundups. I did want to read off one more as when it comes to moby.g.G.
Um, gave it the 6.2 slash 10 overall saying, uh, positive on story, but critical of business model,
which you know everybody is saying, quote, during my gossip harbor game review, I noticed that the game
knows how to tell stories and especially gosses. I know that's right.
So anyways, with that being said.
I think when it comes to Gossip Harbor, as you could tell throughout my coverage in this segment, it's insanely popular.
It's insanely lucrative.
Microfund Limited definitely has an unlimited amount of potential for this specific game, especially the way it's grown over time.
Its player base is consistently coming back through its limited time events.
The only thing they could probably fix a little bit is making the difficulties not spike as how.
so people are forced to purchase things in the game.
But hey, you know, that would be saying,
that would be asking them to have anti-capitalism.
And, you know, in today's age, that's probably not thing.
So I didn't want to make sure that I did not miss anything.
Because when it comes to, yes, so the story,
if you want to know the story in Gossip Harbor,
it basically follows Quinn Castillo,
a single mother who returns to Brimwave Island
after divorce, family conflicts,
sabotage, and the destruction of a father's restaurant.
I know that's crazy.
We're in the world.
See, that's the problem.
And of course, the story themes include romance, betrayal, family drama, mystery, crime-style investigations.
And of course, when it comes to major supporting characters including Colton, Olivia, Harrison, Sam Walters, Amala Mishra, Lori Linwood, Mark Wynn, Frankie Melosi, Dominique Castillo, and Ziva Bates.
and of course new chapters typically release weekly so they keep the drama going even though it's a merge two puzzle game they know how they make their drama boy
so with that being said i think it's basically as far as i did want to put a misrespect because you know i try to put my mobile you know i try to put respect on the mobile gamers out there you know what i'm saying
i just give them some praise i just
i just all right so anyways as far as giving praise to the mobile community make sure to click my links here in my bio
