Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, somebody must have a death wish because Gracie Abrams is out here letting y'all know that the music that she puts out has real implications as far as her real life events. Now, what do I mean by that? Of course, Gracie Abrams is one of the more prominent musicians in the music industry as far as having the 13th most popular track in the world, right? titled That's So True That's been on the charts for about 24 weeks And of course, it peaked at number six So this is a bona fide hit Right
Starting point is 00:00:38 Her second track is with Who I call Oh actually it's the wrong one I thought it was Ariana Grande I see that above her My fault no shade My fault I'm just looking at the charts But it's with another artist
Starting point is 00:00:51 Selena Gomez and Beni Blanco With the track Call Me When You Break Up And that track is the 60th Most Played track in the world And it's been on her charts about five weeks, right? And that specific track peaked at 46.
Starting point is 00:01:03 So when it comes to Gracie Abrams, I do want to let you know that this is probably one of the more commercial-like pop stars in the industry. I wouldn't say alongside Taylor Swift and Sabrina, I would say Gracie Abrams is multiple levels below that as far as commercially. Obviously, that's me going off the objective scale. Subjective-wise, she could be either. more talented or the same level of talent as them depending on who's listening right or they could
Starting point is 00:01:35 think she's complete trash right that's why i say subjective but as far as objective she does not do the same numbers as a Sabrina carpenter or t swift or even ariana grande for that for that matter right but she still does respectable numbers as having the 60th most played track and having the 13th most played track is not an easy feat anyways again back into death wish that came out april 1st 2025 I wanted to let y'all know that the speculation from the abraham's that's what I'm calling gracie abrams fan base I'm sorry if y'all actually have a name but that's what I'm calling y'all so anyways with that being said the abrahams were recently trying to brainstorm who in the world could this track be about could you even know there's one thing about a pop star is that they're not going to make these type of heart fulfilled and emotional tracks without a deep. message that gives you a glimpse into the real life. So anyways, the Abraham's deep dive into what they thought about this track and to the point where they came out and said that it's not about Paul Muscala. Now, who is Paul? I don't know, but the Abraham seemingly do. As they said,
Starting point is 00:02:53 Gracie and Paul were photographed together as recently as February 2025. And then they said that Gracie described her current relationship as a place to land feels like home. That's quote, right? And then Gracie went on to say, quote, this song is about a friend of mine who recently was dating like a mega narcissist, someone who kind of sucked, end quote. Now, Gracie could not have gave her Abraham's more ammo because guess what? At this point, they are putting it on any and everybody that they believe is a mega narcissist. y'all already know how that work is thrown around this is not red pill content and this is not a red pill channel so i'm
Starting point is 00:03:34 believe it at that i cover music and gaming thank you very much so anyways getting back into the music side of things death wish was first shared with fans live and then released digitally which that is a great marketing strategy as far as having that one-on-one connection with your fan base to the point where now they are more inclined to come see you live because you've given them a glimpse into the next single right i love an artists reward the fans that come out whether it's sleep rain snow thunderstorming fast okay you get the point right inclement weather right they still show up to see you live i love when they reward the fans that do that because you know there's so many things that have to go into watching the artist live that i believe these type of announcements and debuts of new singles like that should be done in my
Starting point is 00:04:27 opinion in front of the live audience that paid hard earned the hard earned money to come see you live so anyways uh when it comes when it came to the aftermath of that live show and then releasing it on dsps she also released the live from the oh two arena version so if you go to a dsp she actually has that track out on dsps she has the live version and then actually that's the only version okay well back to what i'll say so her debut in this track to her live audience that was the actual cut that they used for DSPs or seemingly the actual cut i would i would not be surprised if they went in and leveled it out a little bit because you know live performances are always spotty as far as you know just things going to ride that's why it's live right or that's
Starting point is 00:05:13 why it's called a live performance but for DSPs i wouldn't be surprised if they like went in and tweaked it a little bit anyways this is obviously following this success of her sophomore album um the secret of us that went number one as far as the specific single, that's so true. And then Death Wish marks the start of her third album as far as her being under Andescope Records, which is under major label UMG. Because if you don't know, UMG is the big dogs
Starting point is 00:05:46 in the music industry. I say that all the time because they are emphatically the big dogs. I mean, 60% of the current Markenshare, there's only 100, and they have 60% of it. So I'm going to consistently keep saying that, UMG is the big dogs of the music industry. So it's nice for Gracie Abrams to be under that label. Because if you don't know, Arianda's under that label.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Playboy Cardi's under that label. Nav is under that label. Who else? Kendrick Lamar is under that label. Sabrina's under that label. Oh, of course, the mascot of hip-hop and the goat. Drake is under that label. So, you know, safe to say she's in good company as far as a major label
Starting point is 00:06:29 knowing how to promote her music. and it seems as if it's no different with this track death wish as it seemingly set to be a very prominent track on the charts going alongside her to already well-performing tracks on the charts as far as that's so true being the 13th most played track in the world and then call me when you break up being the 60th most played track so with that being said click my link tree uh click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social media is what do you think about the track death wish by gracie abrams and at the end of the day what is your favorite track from Gracie Abrams in her newcomer type of career as far as in the pop scene
