Starting point is 00:00:00 From Monday to Monday by Manuel Terizzo and Grupro Ranta. Now, obviously, pronunciations may get but what will not get butchered is the amount of respect I'm about to place and put on these two specific artists. Because let me tell you something. I feel like for artists, not from America, overseas basically, trying to get certain certifications from RIA based on your number of streams, because if you don't know, only streams that occur in the United States count towards RIAA certifications. So streams that occur in other countries are not allowed. and on-demand streams count towards certification. Streams that occur as part of a radio broadcast or as part of a pre-order do not count towards certification.
Starting point is 00:01:03 The reason why I'm even bringing up all this certification talk up because I don't want to lose any of y'all is basically because Manuel Terizzo has a certain track that is over $1.2 billion on Spotify. Obviously there's other platforms out there. So I'm thinking in the likes of how. close is he towards diamond status obviously platinum is a little different you need like a million streams multi platinum of course is anything after a million like two million three million four million diamond is of course uh uh 10 uh 10 million and when you're talking about the number of streams
Starting point is 00:01:44 that's why i'm bringing up the r i double a because of course as you see the number of streams as the the certification of 10 million for diamond, but at RIAA, you need 18 million streams because it's a song must have 10 million streams in the United States. Hopefully that makes sense. I don't want to lose any of y'all, so I'm just going to get into the actual artist. So because not a lot of people care about the business side of the music. Some people are just like listening just for fun. So let's get into the for fun portion of this segment as I'll really.
Starting point is 00:02:19 really want to focus on Manuel Terrizzo. So if I'm bringing up how to get certified for Diamond, you already know that he's putting up a lot of numbers as he's probably one of the most prominent artists in his genre, which is the urban and Latin music genre. And he made his debut in 2016. Of course, showcased a plethora of talent, especially in the Latin field as me covering more Latin artists simply for my
Starting point is 00:02:51 own intrigue and also to support from Mexico in general as far as the what is it geographic where people are they are really liking the segments I put out as far as in Mexico when it comes to these particular artists and you know what
Starting point is 00:03:13 I actually enjoy Latin music from the likes of a group of course you have peso pluma of course you have a lot of different artists that like to blend certain sounds when it comes to Carol G I'm trying to think there's so many other ones
Starting point is 00:03:29 some of the ones like it's harder for me like those are names I can easily pronounce some of the other ones it gets a little difficult so anyways when it comes to Manuel Tarizzo this is my first time covering him but he started off in 2016
Starting point is 00:03:45 and his albums ADN, Dopamina, featured his big hits like Una Lady Camo 2, I think this I said, culpables, and Quarimi, Mentra, Seputa. Also, disclaimer, I don't speak Spanish, obviously. So if I say something that's, you know, provocative in Spanish, just know I'm ignorant. I don't know what they're saying. I'm just repeating you what the titles are. So anyways, his recent music, of course, got a lot of attention.
Starting point is 00:04:17 But the biggest thing is that he's had various respect throughout the Latin community and just different artists, especially as a testament to his versatility. His online presence cannot be disregarded as these 12.8 million followers on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Monthly listeners, like I just said, is 34.8 million. And what else? of course his fan base is based out of Mexico City I also shout out to y'all I've been looking at the analytics and I see that y'all are really getting acclimated
Starting point is 00:04:54 and really enjoying the segments that I put out about different artists in the Latin space and it comes from a genuine place because if you even even listen to the last review I did for um I forget his name because his name was uh it was my first time covering him but uh panther bellico I really like that track even though in general my overall fan base might not know as much about the Latin field.
Starting point is 00:05:19 There's a certain group and demographic that's coming into fruition as far as really enjoying the content I'm giving in a Latin space. So that's why I keep doing it because y'all, y'all seem to like it. So just let me know if I'm doing a good job covering your region. So anyways, yeah. So Manuel Terizzo is. is successful, of course, in cities like, well, successful everywhere. But as far as, like, his base, his core fan base are in cities like Mexico City, Madrid, Santiago, Lima, and Bogota.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Bogota? I don't know if I'm messing that up. And the reason why I'm talking about him right now is, well, besides the point of him just running up the numbers in the Latin music industry, he has a new track with Groupo Frontera, titled Monday, what was it called again? Let me see. It's called from Monday to Monday, which of course you can see
Starting point is 00:06:18 the Spanish translation of shameless plug analogue dreams video on my Spotify channel. But basically from Monday to Monday, it's supposed to definitely run the charts as Grupo himself puts up a lot of numbers. And just from my first reactions
Starting point is 00:06:36 to Manuel's numbers, just obviously. the charts which is why I brought up the whole struggle for overseas artists as not all streams outside of the United States counts for certification which is it's tragic to say the least like imagine you're putting up numbers just like these other American pop artists but they're getting plaques because their core fan base is in America and yours is not seems a little uh counterproductive but anyways we'll see what this leads uh to with this particular single because Grupo, you know, definitely don't want to leave him out.
Starting point is 00:07:15 He currently has an album out titled El Camino Camino. And as you can see, he had Bad Bunny on his album. So I think in the music landscape, overseas music is starting to become more prominent. And when you have Latin artists collaborating like this in the same space, you already know where it's going to go as far as the future. because certain musicians from certain genres don't like to collab with others because of them being scared of the other artists taking their fan base. And that's just to guide out as truth. So for Latin music, it's very, it's a nice sight to see that these artists are collaborating with each other and not beefing when it comes to who's bigger than who, you know? So anyways, click my moment.
Starting point is 00:08:09 link to you in my bio let me know one of my social media is what do you think about this uh superstar collab from manuel terizzo and group pro frontera titled monday to monday and will you be giving this track listen
