Sticking with the Latin music scene, of course, Rupero Frontera is one of those where whenever he drops, of course, he has a cult-like fan base that comes to listen to his particular music.
But as far as the major label appeal, obviously he's decided to go another route as this track, as far as my research and what I've seen, is completely independent.
Now, for me, well, let me say the name.
So first is his first offering, musical offering from group pro Frontera with a track titled KDATAB.
I think I pronounced it right.
Not going to lie to you.
So with that being the track that he eventually wanted to release to the public, be the first to release as far as the 2024 year, I think that this track won't perform as well simply because he's not on a major label.
Now, I know that's crazy to say, you know, trying to compare independent artists to a major label artist.
It's hard to do in general because you're just working with a whole lot of things.
Like, the biggest thing what a major label does is just give you a humongous, but well, not humongous,
but it's definitely 10 times bigger than an independent budget.
As far as marketing, promotion, which is the most important thing I'm focusing on,
as teams and services help make the ship go forward and whenever you're independent i don't care how much
money you think you have you won't be able to front the marketing costs like a major label would
to get their artists on their label to look a certain way so now that group oh frontera is
completely independent putting out this track k dot tbb i think it's going to be an interesting
pivot in his career as I don't know if he's released music in the past and it was independent
because let me see okay yeah he used to be under's um how did say this that's not him that's
that's somebody totally different I'm trying to see who he used to be under but oh he only has
one album what in the world okay so he has one album out el camino I don't even not say
But anyways, I covered that like last year, I believe and seems like he's been
Independent, but sometimes it's hard to tell because I know artists who's been signed and then when they go independent
All of their um copyright and stuff goes to like their name as far as not having the major label name over it anymore. So it's hard to tell if
he was never or he was once signed to a label or not but the reason I'm focusing on
on that is because with this new track basically shot in albalardo bays i believe b a z i don't know to pronounce that
and of course the band performing on rooftop of los angeles showcasing of course him and his artistry
as far as putting this together um and with this track being a part of his upcoming second album
i just think that the mainstream success will only come with signing to a major label which
sounds crazy with him charting multiple songs of Billboard Hot 100,
including the collaboration with Bad Bunny un times 100.
Now, a collaboration with Bad Bunny is interesting because usually, and this just comes
from like years of me just studying in the field and researching.
When a major label is trying to sign a particular artist, the top artist, they already
have signed.
They will have that person collaborate with the artists are trying to.
who signed simply to entice him to sign to a label like hey this is a type of sauce we could give you
as far as on the charts sign with us so it doesn't surprise me that the biggest success music wise
for group O frontera was attached to bad bunny so anyways um but it is saying that he's completely
independent so we'll see how long that lasts especially before his uh sophomore album that i think
looks like to come out this year so yeah i don't know if he'll sign or if he'll stay independent
but what i do know is he definitely won't be able to compete with just the the uh vast knowledge
of a major label um over a that's been operating for more than decades you know so anyways i think
Grupo and this specific track will end up garnering some type of attention, but I do believe
he needs to choose a major label at some point so he gets the actual recognition that he definitely
deserves at this point.
So anyways, click my link to my bio.
Let me know one of my social media is.
What do you think about Grupo, Frontera's new track, K.a, B, B, that just released.
And also, what do you think about my major label versus independent?
argument do you think he should stay independent or assigned to a major label for his upcoming
sophomore album
