Starting point is 00:00:00 Now, if you would turn with me and open up your respective DSPs and turn with me to track five, verse two of the Gunna Wanner album, Gift and the Curse. I'll wait for you. And once you turn to that particular section of the album, I would like you to read along with me. Watching them close, I'm crossing the globe. You ex-fit is broke, energy low. I don't really care though. Out the barrel, man.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Free my bro, Jeffro. Back to business is way more than narrow. Now, I really want to highlight these two bars that just ended off with. Free my bro, Jeffro. Now, if you look up Jeffro, right? We got to figure out who is Jeffro.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Like, who in the world could he be talking about when referring to Jeffro? It couldn't be Jeffrey, right? If you look at it, Jeffro is literally Jeffrey. But the person who's responsible for this man not being free is the man rapping and saying free Jeffrey.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Now, I can't make no sense out of this, man. Honestly, this is sad. If Gunna is saying free, young thug, after literally telling on him to get out of prison, which I'm not condemning on any stretch of their imagination because I'm a civilian, so I think all criminals should, be locked up but if you're going to do certain stuff with a certain individual and then turn around
Starting point is 00:01:42 and tell on that individual so he can take all the fault and you can go home free to rap free him i think it's probably the biggest stab in the back and backstabbing event that you could ever have on one man imagine somebody who wouldn't even be as popular if it wasn't for you knowing what you do behind the scenes sticking with your gang loving that tag of of YSL being one of the more prominent artists on that label, getting caught up in the law, and the first chance you get to become free, you're singing like a canary. I mean, I don't even know if they brought out the McDonald's before this man started telling on Jeffrey.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Unfortunate man. But anyways, as I was doing with the other segments, let's bring up some more characteristics of a gangster to see if it fits the description of Gunna wanna. Ruthlessness. Gangsters are often ruthless individuals. They may be willing to hurt or kill others in order to protect themselves or their interests. Greed. Gangsters are often motivated by greed. They may be willing to do whatever it takes to make money, even if it means breaking the law. Fearlessness. Gangsters, gangsters, are often fearless individuals. They may be willing to take risk or to face danger in order to achieve their goals.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Now technically, you can say that all three of those fits Gunna's description. So is that man a gangster? Or is he just one of those individuals that portrayed the image of a gangster, but behind closed doors, he knows what he truly did was not gangster-like. As a civilian, I cannot condemn him. for his actions but as a person who definitely listens to certain people who are about their life i would say shame on you for choosing in the life and not accepting the consequences of it and throwing your man under the bus because unfortunately we won't see young thug for a while because of this man
Starting point is 00:03:58 snitching and putting all the blame on young thug when the blame should have been spread around to the whole ysl organization so at the end of the day this man could put out an album them attract and try to make money off of it. But everybody will always remember the person who told on Young Thug and put him in a predicament that will further his sentence and put him in the probably penitentiary for at least a decade or two. So it's unfortunate, but that's why you shouldn't do crime kids out there that's thinking about turning or changing to a life of crime.
Starting point is 00:04:46 That's why you should not do it. As the ultimate result is either jail or death. And Gunna chose the way out, which is technically ratting. Which if you don't know, back in the day, when people were a part of the mob boss or the mob and they ratted, a lot of different things happened that was very violent to their family members, which provided an example on why you should not rat, which is why nowadays hip hop artists are quick to tell on each other because there's no consequences like they had back in the day with the mob.
Starting point is 00:05:24 So you're getting a lot more people to be more comfortable with snitching because the results and the consequences of snitching is not attached to it like it once was. But that's unfortunate. Gunna is definitely in a predicament. He says back to business is way more De Niro, so you already know where his mind is at. But click my link tree in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about Gunner's return to the music scene, putting our new album titled
Starting point is 00:05:52 The Gift and the Curse with this track called Cash Expetive? Can't say the other word because, you know, it's definitely a PG podcast. But definitely let me know. What is your favorite track off the album? And do you think Gunna should have took the sentence? or would you have chose the same route of telling on young thug
