First off, I want to say that Gunna is doing this man, Victor Thomas, a huge favor.
And by huge, I mean straight up humongous.
But also, on the other hand, I would say that Victor Thompson is checking off a very specific box when it comes to Gunna.
And that is having a feature.
That's simply it.
Like, as far as Gunna, not being by himself and attached to another musician,
That is what I believe that Victor Thompson is basically doing with this track.
So if you don't know, the video I have up here is a little grainy because it's from Twitter.
But if you follow my Analytic Dreams video podcast on Spotify, you'll be able to see the video element along with the audio.
But this was Gunna's first show since being released.
No, this was Gunna's first show in L.A.
since being released from prison.
because I know he did another stadium.
I forget what it was about.
But anyways,
DDG,
which y'all probably already know who he is,
you know,
content created in general,
open for Gunna
and performed his latest,
open for Gunna.
And also that Gunner came back out,
performed with his plethora of hits.
I mean,
if you don't know,
Gunna's literally been running the charts
with F.U. Meen.
And it's had,
I believe,
16 weeks in the top five.
No,
16 weeks in the top 10 and it peaked at number four so with that being said i think it's currently at like
number eight but that in itself gunna's having a tremendous year really impactful year that i did not see
coming which is why i still hold gunna's album and my top five of the year and definitely his
single um if you mean and i think my favorite single from gunna was definitely bread and butter because
that was the make-or-break one for me.
Like, if he would have put out bread and butter and people wasn't messing with it,
it would have been down.
It was looking spooky for Gunna before he dropped a gift and a curse.
But now, since he dropped a phenomenal album that still, well, to this day, I think,
is a quality body of work.
He has now switched over into now attaching himself with other artists in hopes of other
musicians, seeing this collaboration and then ultimately wanting to work with Gunna.
as well. There's a reason why this is a Nigerian gospel singer being Gunna's first collab
since getting out of prison. The industry doesn't really mess with Gunna currently simply because of
their affiliation because of their high, I even know the word for it. Basically, the way that
they hold young thug in high regards is the only reason why you didn't see any
features on gunna's album a gift and a curse they believe gunna snished on young thug
no need no need to rehash that whole situation but basically i'm just telling you that because
that's why he hasn't had any features since coming out of prison from any prominent artists even
after putting up still one of the more statistically impressive years in hip-hop literally like top three
probably because imagine having nobody in the hip hop industry messing with you none of the producers
except for i forget who he had there was one producer that he uh that carried along to to make beats
for him but i forget his name so basically nobody in the most of the industry is not messing with you
at all because of their affiliations with young thug and them holding him into a high regard and
the perception on you so nobody wants to collaborate with you and even still with the whole industry
turning their back on you, you have top three most impressive years in hip hop, especially when
it comes to the track, F you mean, that's still in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 to this day.
So with that being said, I think it's only a matter of time before people start collaborating
with Gunna, but the Nigerian gospel singer for that to be the first collab for Gunna coming out of
jail. I think that's very telling and we'll have to wait and see if anybody of more stature
in the hip-hop game would take the gamble on collabing with him. Because if Kodak Black
can make a song with 6-9, granted, supposedly 6-9 gave him like a million dollars to do the
feature. But why would he not do a feature with Gunna? Food for thought. I don't know. So anyways,
click my link to you in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about Gunna's status
in the hip-hop industry and basically what do you think about this remix coming of the song this
year by the artist victor thompson and will you be giving it a listen when it eventually comes out at
midnight
