Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, of course, we have to get into the biggest gangster in Atlanta because when it comes to the perception from hip hop fanatics, let's just say things were very perplexing as far as Gunna coming out saying, yes, ma'am, and his album after the fact doing phenomenal as far as numbers. And as far as his album, a gift in the curse in 2020, coming out and doing. doing what it did as far as first week which as far as specifically speaking i believe when you go to gunna's album gunna let me see first week so as far as a gift in the curse it ended up sell well ds forever so 144 000 first week but i want to find gift in a curse gift first week so gift in a curse first week. The reason why I'm even talking about sales when it comes to when it comes to Gunna putting out his first single in 2025 as far as won't stop. That's out now on on on all DSPs. Because a lot of people were saying, oh, young thug and gunna's on the same term. Y'all just don't know yet. So as far as Gunna previously showcasing that, he covered up his YSL tattoo, right? And Young Thug responded to that in the comment section, basically saying, not Gunna's account, but our generation music posted Gunna and they showed his tattoo, not specifically, people could see the YSL tattoo was covered because previously, you know, people know about people's bodies, you know what I'm saying? For me, I'm not there. I'm not that in tune but you know if the public says it if i look at the before and after picture i'm like oh he did

Starting point is 00:03:50 cover it up then i'm like you know y'all got it but i'm not really in tune with people's uh with males bodies like that you know what i'm saying you guys see that's the problem see what that being said yon thug replied to that post basically saying i mean dot dot he said it must end so ladies and gentlemen that's just the chronicles as far as what's going on right now and the reason why i bring all that up is basically to say that this is Gunna's first official single of 2025 after having a phenomenal 2023 with gift and a curse as everybody knows F you mean was one of the greatest hip-hop tracks of 2023 specifically and as far as him putting out a gift in the curse it changed the whole perception to the point where yon thug got out of prison after all that hoopla being made about

Starting point is 00:04:37 free yonthah he put out a single with the most impactful artists in alana currently as far as future Hendricks money on money and it debuted at like the 70th most play track in the world and now it's nowhere it's nowhere to be found on the charts and that is very interesting because not even young thug could have seen this coming because not only is his out of prison anthem with future which i think is fired by the way it's not objectively performing well but also mariah the scientist she's set to still have one of the top performing songs in the world with Burning Blue being the 39th most played track in the world. Now, of course, Young Thugs probably not as upset with that

Starting point is 00:05:19 because, you know, together and things that nature. But as far as Gunna and the way that a gift and a curse was selling well, and then as far as his last album, let me see, one of one, as far as that particular album, that sold 91,000 first week. So Young Gunna has a real audience right now. And would it be a hot take to say that young thug may not even outsell Gunna as far as his last album and first week sales? I mean, the way that Young Thug is working right now, he doesn't have a F you mean coming out the gates as far as prison. He doesn't have all of these singles, anthems that Gunna was given us as far as in 2023, as far as in 2024.

Starting point is 00:06:06 I mean, y'all remember, don't forget about WhatsApp, right? Everybody was playing WhatsApp as far as last year. everybody was playing f you mean as far as 2023 uh back to the moon people was loving that track and don't even give me started with back at it like gunna really dropped this uh such a phenomenal album that he completely changed the perception of him and young thug as far as their hierarchy in the hip-hop game to the point where it was very surprising to see not too long ago young thug putting out a whole single after coming out of prison with the one and only future titled money on money that I think to this day is a phenomenal track

Starting point is 00:06:45 and it objectively speaking is not performing well at all. So that came out 25th of April. And soon after it completely dropped off the charts. You know, because as far as it be in June 13th, it's not that much time for it to be
