Ladies and gentlemen, we have a hit on our hands.
Now, I know what you're thinking.
How could we have a hit when this track came out in 2016?
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Sanam Teri Qasam came out on January 8th, 2016, almost a decade later.
And I'm just now finding out about this.
Let me tell you something.
As far as dipping your toes into different music cultures,
you will find out that what more alike than you realize when you really dive into each and every specific industry as far as the musical cultures.
Now when it comes to Bollywood, that is no different.
As this track, Sanam Tari Qasam, this man was going crazy.
I thought I was like, is this Post Malone?
Whole time is Bollywood.
It's India music culture.
And that's when you ultimately realize we're more alike than we would like to admit because this track is beyond phenomenal.
from the construction from the beat solos as far as um the actual chorus i like that the most when he goes
on his sonam uh terri kasam type of chorus that's my favorite part of track but obviously the um
other singer on it which i believe as far as because you have on kit to warri you have palak moon chal
i think that's how you say i'm definitely going to butcher names but her best believe me i've tried my best
Hamesh Rashamia
Rashamia
I think I'd say it
Hamesh Roshamia
There we go
Samir Anjan
Those are all the
contributors to the actual track
Now there's a woman singer
On this
I don't know which one it is
As far as out of those names
I just said
I would I don't want to assume
Because it's 2025
I'm not trying to cancel
So just know those are the contributors
But there is a male and a woman
vocalist on this track
So whenever she comes on
She's definitely doing her part
as far as uplifting the track by adding her own unique vocal inflections onto it because of course
the guy was going insane like the whole part of the sonam terri cassam i was like hold on now
who fault is it whose fault is it that i did not know that bala wood made this type of fire
music because i listen to this and generally like i put this on my playlist and everything it's
not just me talking like i actually really enjoy this track from start to finish like
Like enjoy it to the point where it's like, dang, maybe this is why people travel.
And this is probably why people like to diversify the music.
Because sometimes you never know.
Something would just connect to you out of the blue that you never thought would connect to you.
Here I am listening to stuff because, you know, I want to cover the entire music industry.
So I'm like, you know what?
Let me hop into Bollywood, research, do my due diligence and disseminate that information to the public when it comes to Bollywood.
Right.
And then of course, the music that comes out of that because I cover music.
But I ended up really enjoying this track to the point where I'm like, not only are we going to talk about the track, but obviously like I just did, I'm going to break down the track's quality because I listened to it and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I thought it was phenomenal.
So with that being said, of course with this particular track, Sanan Tarri Qasan is the fifth most played YouTube video in the world.
So immensely popular, right?
How did this happen when it came out 2016?
Right.
How did it just rise to fame in 2025?
Why did it take so late?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
Because when it comes to this overall track,
there's a lot to get into as far as why it took so long to blow up.
So as far as on YouTube, when it was released late 2016,
and it reached 250 million views by February 2025,
some of us say that's just due to longevity.
People like the track and they consistently played it
to the point where they gained enough audience to the point where it just took off.
So that's one.
The other thing or the other factor that you could factor in is that the film box office
was helping because the tie, okay, so the box office tie in was basically when it re-release
a gross 34 coronet in India.
Now, of course, I have no idea what that means.
So we're about to look that up right now.
32 core i don't even know if this hate said net and u.s dollars i don't even know if this is
equivalent like but we're just going to try it so basically one core is not it can't be right
one core is 10 million dollars hold on now am i tripping wow okay so if one is 10 million
then that means they made 32 million off of oh i guess it is a movie but
Still, that just threw me off.
My fault.
My fault.
Hey, like I said, I'm learning in real time.
So that being said, it earned $32 million in India, only in India.
And that's the net.
So a netted $32 million in India by February 18, 2025.
So passing the original 9.11 million due to song-driven nostalgia.
Like I said, people who's listening to this track over and over.
And, of course, people were trying to, let's just say, show much.
show how much their significant other is appreciated.
Let's just put it like that, right?
As in Valentine's week, the streams surged up to 40% on February 14, 20, 25, of course,
aligning with not only the romantic theme of the track, but also the films re-release.
Now, when it comes to the film, obviously, I don't know the actual, like, I don't know what this film is attached to.
I think it's, I mean, if you type in, actually, let's just find that out right now.
So, Sanam, and I'm telling me y'all, y'all got to listen to this track.
This track is beyond phenomenal.
Y'all going to walk away being like, wow, they was going crazy.
Like, that man was, that man had ballets, chorus.
Like, he was going insane on that track.
Reminded me of, like, Post Malone and the weekend type of vibe, right?
Anyways, Sanam, Terry Kasam movie tie in, because I don't know what the movie is.
so as far as the movie that they basically tied this song into uh it's the movie oh it's
okay that's the title that's the title that's the title that's the movie all right we
learning about this real time right first time you first time me so sonam tariqasam the bollywood
movie that came out 2016 as well was a romantic tragedy directed by rod
Ryo and Venei Sapru, Saperu, I think that's how you say it.
Starring, okay, I definitely can't say that.
Hold on, give me one second.
Here we go, here we go.
About to get Jarvis to help me out right quick.
Hashvard Han Rain and Mora Hocaine in their
Okay, one more time.
San Am Terry Kass. There's no direct time.
There's no...
Read this one.
Starring Hashvard Han Rain and Mora Hoha Kane in their Hindi film debuts.
All you heard that?
I'm not repeating that because I can't, I can't do it.
But anyways, see,
Iron Man is not the only one that can use Jarvis.
So that being said, y'all heard all that.
Those are the basic, those are the ones that help direct the film, right?
So when it came to the music tie and obviously helped the actual track as people not only
watched the movie, but also went back to the track.
And it became very popular amplifying the film's reach despite its initial box office flop.
Because if you don't know, when it came out 2016, it took a while for it to even gain some
steam to rise into the popular movie and track that it is today, as it.
It was more of a cult-like following back in 2016 because, you know, they basically projected it to flop via a pink villa.
I think that's how you said?
Yeah, pink villa.
So that type of longevity is actually insane.
Going on a decade and it's just now reaching the heights or, yeah, basically reaching the highest has ever been as far as impacting the masses.
And it's very interesting because not only did they have a movie, did they have streams and things of that nature, but TV Airplay Legacy played,
large part into it as heavy rotation on MTV India in 2016 to 2020 built its pre-streaming audience.
So that's very interesting as far as how it overall started to blow up on a charts.
So with that being said, of course, when the song initially came out in India, it ranked in the
top 20 in 2016, but re-entered the charts in 2025 similar to other re-release hits.
So what happens is they release a hit, people like it, and then they keep re-releasing different iterations to the point where now is a cold light classic blown up into a popular track that just impacts the masses.
So the main guy behind this track, as far as from what I've seen, is on Kit Tuari.
And obviously, I've already gotten to him being a music director, a composer, and with him doing a lot of work, especially in a devotional music.
trope called Raju Suman and Party.
Tuari initially trained in classical music and worked as a production head at a radio station and Gawalior before moving to Mumbai in 2008 to pursue a career in the music industry.
Of course, his breakout hit came as a music director for the 2010 film.
do dony
charred i think that's how he said
so anyways um obviously
the director had hits in the past
and now he has another hit on his hands as this
track is beyond phenomenal
I'm telling y'all with all sincerity
y'all need to listen to this track because it's so
fire i listen to this from start to finish
and when i tell you i was
pleasantly surprised that's not even doing
the justice i was blown out of the water by the quality
it was very
post malone-esque as far as
the weekend-esque as far as sonically
pleasing and the beat to go along with it.
So with that being said,
click my link to you in my bio. Let me know one of my social
medias. How do you feel about me dive into
the Bollywood section of the music
industry? And with that being said,
hopefully you give Sanam, Teri
Kasam a listen. And if you do,
what was your favorite part
of the track?
