If there's one thing about Spotify is that they are going to innovate by any means necessary.
With that being said, this may not be the most innovative factor in Spotify.
But just because they're implementing it, I have to give them kudos because who would have
to thunk during a recession all of the biggest corporations in the world would raise the subscription prices?
Now all of my nine to five workers probably felt that to their soul.
So with that being said, Spotify is trying to give you another reason why you should not cancel the subscription, even though to raise the prices, with a whole new Spotify jam, which is a social listening feature introduced by Spotify, of course, which allows up to up to 32 Spotify users to participate in real-time listening sessions together.
So imagine you was in a place, you know, in a party or whatever, and you're like, hey, y'all get to pick the jam.
Y'all get to, obviously you can edit who can control what goes next or whatever, but people can, like, suggest songs and you can put them on a playlist.
So for every DJ in the world, this is a pretty user-friendly feature that really helps you receive engagement that lets you know what your people in the party,
want to hear, right? For the people in a party, this is the easiest way and the easiest feature
that lets you know what they want to hear. So basically, they can add songs to the shared playlist
queue and receive music recommendations based on their tastes. And the feature is available both on
free and premium Spotify account holders. So only Spotify premium subscribers can start and invite
others to a jam session because nobody wants to start up a Spotify jam session and then an ad start
playing for 35 minutes, right?
Because if you have premium, then you don't even get ads.
Or if you do, you can press a little skip button, skip right past the ad as far as
like a podcast or whatever.
So premium subscribers can only start and invite others to jam sessions and hosts can manage
the jam, control the track order, and remove songs.
And also premium subscribers can start a jam by clicking the speaker icon or the three-dot menu
within a playlist and select start a jam.
And there are multiple ways to invite others to jam, including Bluetooth pairing, QR codes,
direct links, and shared Wi-Fi connections.
Also, Spotify Jam is similar to a third-party service,
but offers a native, collaborative listening experience.
So like I said, if you're at a party, you want to hear what others want to,
you want to get suggestions or what others want to hear throughout the party.
Spotify has made it super easy for you and Spotify Jam.
I know this sounds like an ad,
but I swear it's not.
It's just one of those features that I feel like has to be highlighted
because if they're going to raise the subscription prices
and we're going to highlight that,
we might as well add or we might as well highlight the additions
of features that they're bringing with the raise or the rise
of subscription prices, right?
So this feature is already out on all DSP, well, not DSP,
it's Spotify.
It's already out on Spotify.
and jam sessions are currently controlled by the host,
but all users can contribute to the playlist
and participants can see each other's usenames,
profile photos, and suggest the song.
So if y'all are trying to, you know, flirt with the DJ or whatever,
then y'all profile picture looking crazy,
y'all may want to change that, you know what I'm saying?
I'm just letting y'all know.
Like, for my DJs out there, you may let them know that.
If you see the profile picture and it's looking like,
like the cookie monster
for Sesame Street.
You know, he may not play your track.
You know, I'm sorry, but
that's the only example I can come up with.
So with that being said,
Spotify Jam is currently available
on mobile app and requires the app
update if you haven't updated it.
And then that's basically a pretty
informative segment, a straightforward
segment giving you information on how
Spotify Jam is now the newest
addition to Spotify, which lets others
suggest music.
And all they all can have
well up to 32 Spotify users can participate in the real-time listening sessions together.
So that being said, click my link to you and my bio.
Let me know one of my social media is.
What do you think about Spotify's new social feature, Spotify Jam,
and where do you think this would be, what situation do you think this feature would benefit the most?
