Starting point is 00:00:00 Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for a free content. You know, when it comes to being idle, safe to say, it's very ironic how this group is titled Idol, but they continue to be number one on the charts. As of course, with the rise of up and coming artists through all type of marketing strategies, safe to say, Cube Entertainment found a way to notoriously affect the masses in the music and industry, as of course, Cuba Entertainment was found in 2018, but the artists that were talking about with a group, I should say, we're talking about is the South Korean girl group titled Idol, formerly known as G Idol, so they switched it to just idle, but this group consists of Mion. Hold on. I think it's Mion. Give me one second. I don't want to butcher the name too much. Let me see if I could. Find this really. Okay, that's not it.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Okay, so basically, um, ladies and gentlemen, when it comes to me, yion, many, soian, Yuji,
Starting point is 00:01:12 hold up now. You mean like Yu-Gio? I don't think that's Yu-kio. Anyways, um, and Shirhuah. Basically, the original member, Sujin,
Starting point is 00:01:24 departed in 2021, and you may be thinking to yourself. If you ever, well, if you ever listen to, to this particular girl group, you probably think it to yourself. How do they have all these different sounds, especially going from hip-hop to R&B to edium, experimental sounds? Basically, when it comes to this particular group, they have self-producing type of talent. And what I mean
Starting point is 00:01:49 by that is the reason why they can showcase their versatility is because one of the artists is heavily involved as far as writing, composing, and producing. much of their material as I believe so yeah that is specifically so yon so um I believe not only is that artist helping them out a lot as a group but getting into the objective numbers for this specific group that is why currently the music video is doing phenomenal and how phenomenal is it doing ladies and gentlemen analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio because currently it has 4.1 million views in under 24 hours So of course, when you have the most watched video on YouTube currently, you come to realize it's number one in all type of countries, but more specifically, Canada, South Korea, Russia, and Taiwan, and the United Kingdom, and it's number three, and I'll show you.
Starting point is 00:02:50 And of course, it's charting and a lot of other countries. I just wanted to let you know the top charting countries as when you look at, Give Me That Love, which is the title track of Idol's ninth mini album, we made it, that released July 6, 2026, you come to realize. this is the perfect type of marketing strategy that they need currently because what else is going to drive people back to the five track 13 minute EP that it just put out title we made it so when it comes to up-and-coming acts I definitely do I definitely pity a lot of up-and-coming acts that try to battle in today's economy because there's so much so many options people are flopping left and right if somebody comes back time and time again to listen to your creation. I think that's a W in itself. And it seems like when it comes to
Starting point is 00:03:41 idol, they definitely figured that out as they started in 2018 and then of course all the way in 2026 are still notoriously affecting the masses. As of course when you look at the Honcio charts, which is the K-pop specific charts, they are doing phenomenal with a lot of physical, a strong physical sales. And of course, I already said how the music video is doing just overall in general. one on YouTube, which is insane, right? 4 million views, 4.1 million views. And under 24 hours is just a phenomenal accomplishment. And of course, I think this is not only one of the most, one of the more up-and-coming
Starting point is 00:04:23 K-pop groups, but they're also showcasing that with hard work and dedication, and of course, you know I have to bring up the choreography. Having that energy to match some of the superstar-like labels. perception or the image that they portray as a self-produced group to have that similar sound to have that similar look to people who have major conglomerates backing them i mean that is a insanely hard feat to do because she all don't even know the amount of industry veterans these huge music labels have in their uh under their umbrella so for an independent act is very much harder. I mean, the reason why I say that is because as of right now, just looking at the big
Starting point is 00:05:10 music labels in general, Universal Music Group has 53% of the entire music market share. Sony has 32% of the entire music market share. As of right now, Warner has 12% of the music market share. Of course, others, which is smaller labels and independent acts, they have a whopping 3%. You guys, see, that's the problem. So when we're talking about Idol, as far as how populated, they are in the current landscape of the music industry, safe to say they've done something that is basically unthinkable for most musicians and they're doing a phenomenal way at rebranding. Because if you don't know, post the idol name change,
Starting point is 00:05:47 basically they had to re-encaptivate their audience because going from G-Idle to Idol. It's very different, you know, as far as the physical merch, etc. I know some people may be like, it's just one letter, but that's a lot of merch that you got to change. So with that being said, they did a phenomenal job coming back when it comes to the platform dominance on digital I feel like they do decent in China
Starting point is 00:06:12 they definitely do phenomenal as far as the number one intense in China and highlighted just huge Asian focus like digital strength but overall I think this group will be fine this is my first time ever covering them and it's safe to say I was pleased on what I heard because yes ladies and gentlemen I did listen to the track and I thought the track was solid not my cup of tea I think it's more of a younger girls type of track.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I mean, it's, or it could be like a Love Island type of theme. It's just not sort of like how Love Island, the TV show is in my type of show. That's what I would say about this track. Like, it's a very happy go lucky love type track. And if you're into that, just like if people are into Love Island, I think you may like this track as far as the, what's the track called again? As far as the love track. Let me see if I can find this again. Yeah, give me that love.
Starting point is 00:07:03 So basically, when it comes to them, I believe they have a hit on their hands when it comes to the music video. Hopefully, as far as DSPs, they are able to get people to convert from the music video into the DSPs to listen to the actual audio version. But I guess the future will unveil if they end up happening. So that means, I click my link to you in my bio to follow me in my social media. And of course, when it comes to people on Spotify, if you're a huge K-pop connoisseur out there, who is your favorite K-pop? artists currently and why
