So my long awaited review for Invincible has survived.
Let me tell you all, ladies and gentlemen, Invincible is one of the greatest shows in superhero history.
Yes, just plainly superhero history.
I don't care what side of the fandom you fall on, Marvel DC.
What was the other one, icon or something like that, images or whatever.
Invincible is one of the greatest superhero shows of all time.
Now as a Spider-Man fanatic, I ain't gonna lie to you.
I thought it was pretty peculiar how Disney had a whole entire Spider-Man show throughout the midst of this rollout for season three.
Now I'm not saying Disney felt threatened by Invincible.
I'm just saying that season one and season two of Invincible was top-tier superhero content.
And with that being said, I think they was like, you know what?
Let's show them who the real goat is.
Because Spider-Man is still the most popular superhero of all times.
time, objectively speaking.
Now, with that being said, when it comes to Invincible and having a Spider-Man show
releasing episodes in the midst of Invincible season three releasing episodes, I do not
think is a coincidence at all.
Now, is Disney player hating a little bit because of all the recent love that Invincible
has been getting?
Of course, that's how they stay on top.
They hate on the competition.
The competition gets to a certain level.
They think they are about to start competing with you.
You drop the most popular superhero.
of all time as far as a hit TV show that everybody is saying is phenomenal and guess what i watched
the entire thing yes ladies and gentlemen i had to watch the entire thing because they was comparing
the spider-man show to spectacular spider-man now of course this is invincible so we're not going to go
off on a tangent all i'm going to say is you know the new spider-man show is it's solid you know what
is definitely solid it's not trash i think people have received trash so often as far as the uh disney show
as far as ultimate spider-man as far as the 2017 launch of the spider-man show and then there's another one
there's another spider-man show but anyways we've received so much mediocrity when it came to the spider-man
character in the tv um lane as far as animation that now when we actually get a good show we start
comparing it to the 90s and spectacular spider-man
And let me just tell you all, we got to stop that.
I don't know if y'all are actually Spider-Man fans,
but spectacular Spider-Man is one of the greatest shows of all time,
if not the greatest superhero TV show of all time.
Now, of course, it got cut short.
And the reason why I got cut short, I have to compare it to basketball.
It's like the Bulls, right?
MJ 96-97, he still wasn't getting along with the GM, right?
Tell me how that works out.
You got the greatest player of all time,
Michael Jordan Nenge along with the GM at all,
which is why the last dance documentary,
ended the way it did because they was like let's blow this whole thing up that's what i compared to
spectacular spider man spectacular spider-man was peak spider-man storytelling even better than the 90s spider-man
i know people are going to get mad with that one because of course the 90s spider-man had an actual
end and had longer episodes right but spectacular spider-man was peak spider-man storytelling the latest
spider-man adaption as far as animation is solid this is definitely solid but comparing it to spectacular
it's blasphemy and comparing it to the 90s Spider-Man
I don't know it's pretty comfortable
and that should let you know I really do like the show
the latest Spider-Man show is actually really really good
but comparing it to spectacular I don't think
I don't think people realize how good spectacular it was
like people got revisionist
I don't think it's revision in this history
I think people have recency bias
when it comes to this Spider-Man show because we haven't
had a good Spider-Man show in so long
anyways why do I talk about Spider-Man so much
when Invincible's on the screen exactly
because that's what Disney intended to do
when they put out all these Spider-Man TV episodes
in the midst of Invincible Season 3.
They saw all this love for Invincible.
It was like, let's just release a good TV show
for one of the greatest superheroes of all time.
So anyways, getting back into Invincible,
let's watch the Invincible Season 3, episode 7 teaser
because I got to get into my review of the entire season
before episode 7 and 8, because that is where poop is going to hit the fan.
and with that being said let's get into this uh teaser this will do now one thing i am gonna say
one thing i am gonna say this right here i feel like they'd be doing that on purpose this this
whole shot right here they do that stuff on purpose they know what they're doing all this stop
motion right here all the uh critiques about the animation in season three they was like you know what
let's give them more of that you know what say let's throw some more on top of it people say that
we took a step back in animation let's give them some more
mediocrity as far as animation, right?
So anyways, that's it to the side.
Season one, season two, the animation was way better than this.
I think what happened was the time took between the season two part one, season two, part two, right?
Because it was a break in season two.
People hated that, right?
They said the break was unforgivable to the point where now they're giving a stop motion animation.
And they're like, deal with it because y'all want Invincible every year, right?
Well, this is the quality you have to put up with as far as animation.
Now, when it comes to the actual fight scene, I think that's when they try to show out a little bit.
But for the most part, like, there was this one scene.
So now I'm getting into my season three review, right, up until seven and eight.
This is one scene where these guys are stealing the Declaration of Independence, right?
Spoiler alert, I guess, is that the people are not even that consequential to the entire story.
So they're still in a Declaration of Independence, right?
Some random villains, right?
And while they're going down the stairs,
ain't going to lie to you that's some of the worst animation i've ever seen in life i'm not even
exaggerating it was going down the stairs and it looked like pages out of a comic book that's how bad it was
it was like not in a good way nine the pages out in the good way it was like stop motion it was like
what in the world whoever was animating that could not care less about this show so anyways
with that out the way invincible is one of the greatest arcs i've ever seen and i've ever read in
comic book history and obviously it took an amazon tv show to enlighten me
on how peak invincible was.
But, you know, that's what huge conglomerate is to put you in front of more of the masses.
Because if you aren't given a certain platform to showcase that you're putting out high quality,
then, you know, sometimes it gets missed.
Just because people don't consume your content on a high level does not mean it's high quality.
I say all the time, because of course this podcast is called notorious mass effect.
I say all the time, just because you sell a lot.
It does not mean it's high quality.
And just because you don't sell doesn't mean you're making the absolute worst thing ever, right?
The two don't correlate.
You know, it's a lot of timing and luck that goes into it.
But of course, you know, they say, not to get on my old man tip, preparation met what opportunity equals success.
You know what I'm saying?
That's basically what happened with Amazon and Invincible.
Invincible is one of the greatest superheroes currently because of the show.
I think the show put a lot of new eyes on it that made them in my, me and myself, after watching season one, and it only takes you one episode.
People who watch Invincible know what I'm talking about.
You get to the end of episode one, and you've really really.
why people love this show so much it's like oh i didn't see that coming at all i ain't going to watch
you the way they i'm not going to spoil it at all but the way they did episode one is a very very
great plot twist one of the greatest plot twists in i want to say television like just animation
history like i don't know if that's like exaggerating or what but you know of season one episode one
I think it's one of the greatest plot twists in,
like, entertainment history
as far as how they played it.
Because there's a certain tone, and then at the end,
yeah, at the end, yeah, yeah,
that's all I'm gonna say, because I'm not gonna spoil it.
So, why'd I say that?
Oh yeah, so basically, season three,
I'm still not going to spoil it
because if you haven't watched season one,
when I get into the full recap of season three,
I'm spoiling everything.
But for right now, just talking about the teaser
up until episode,
7 and 8.
So basically, when it comes to Invincible,
I think the best thing about Invincible
is that if you read the,
I know this may sound, you know,
blasphemous for people who just want to watch a TV show.
If you read the comic books,
if you get into the manga,
or if you just get into YouTube recaps,
you start to realize
they haven't even scratched the surface
on how great this TV show could become.
Like, if you think about it,
imagine, I don't want to spoil anything.
okay let me put like this imagine if you had the justice league right but superman didn't show up until like
season four or five i think that's a comparable comparison uh without spoiling anything so um
yeah invincible is working well a lot and they've showed very little so what they've showed so
far, especially season one, made me think this is the greatest show of all time.
Like, the season one was immaculent, like some of the most peak entertainment I've ever consumed
in life.
And I was like, surely it can't get better than this.
And then that's when I read the comic books.
And ladies and gentlemen, when I tell you, it gets better, it gets way better than that.
Y'all, if y'all watched season one, you know, Omni Man is that dude.
But, you know, it gets to a point where.
You know what I mean?
It gets to a point.
That's all I'm going to say.
It gets to a point.
And you realize there's somebody.
There's somebody out there.
There's somebody out there.
That's just like, that's all I can say.
I got to be so vague.
Invincible is great just because of the multiple characters they have in the show that
could literally have their own show.
I feel like Battlebeats can have his own show and be entertaining.
I feel like Eve can have her own show and be entertaining.
Obviously, Omni Man can have his own show and be entertaining.
this is one character out of the comic books that I don't think they're going to adapt into the live action because of copyright issues
but there's this character called Techjacket he himself could carry a whole TV show as far as his arc
and he's not even he doesn't even exist because of copyright issues that should let you know the level of
high quality the comics are in among the manga is I guess they call it a manga I don't think this is technically an anime
right all I'm saying is it gives me the massive fake feel you know massive fake fan over here
I'm saying I don't know if y'all could tell by jacket um how every side character feels not everyone
not everyone because you know some of the side characters in this in this show I ain't gonna lie
I don't get the big deal with Rex I ain't gonna lie to you like it's just because he's like the
bachelor that's the only appeal of Rex like here this man going crazy this man going crazy right
and I think that's the main appeal of him I don't really get the main appeal of Rex um
But yeah, it gives me the mass effect vibes as the people who are brought into this character, some of them, have potentials to carry their own TV show.
That's how great their arcs are.
And they're not even the main character.
And that's what reminds me of when it comes to mass effect.
Because mass effect has such a robust of colorful characters that can have the own show that it made the overall product just top tier entertainment.
And that's how I feel about invincible.
Without spoiling anything, that's how I feel about invincible.
Obviously, I'm going to get into season three, the entire review going.
deep into spoilers.
Whenever episode seven and eight come out,
I'm gonna get deep into spoilers.
And depending on how this does analytically
when I put it up after the fact,
I may do another recap before episode eight.
So with that being said,
I do want to say without spoiling anything,
because I don't think I, you know,
if you've been listening,
I don't think I've spoiled anything.
I think I'm doing a pretty good job at recapping it.
Invincible needs to be put in prison.
That's all I got to say.
He has to be put in prison.
I feel like one of the characters in one of the episodes.
I feel him entirely until he gets to the crazy part.
But the sentiment of Invincible just doing whatever he wants and getting away with it,
I ain't a lot to you.
If Nick Fury was in this universe, you know how quick the, so what is it called?
The something Accords.
What's that called in Civil War?
That's what they need in Invincible.
Accords.
Let me see.
or Marvel.
What's that called?
The Secovia, of course.
That's what they need.
They need this document right here.
Without spoiler anything,
this is what they need.
Let me bring this up.
They need this document right here.
As a long time superhero connoisseur,
this document never made more sense to me.
Now, of course, in the comics,
this didn't make any sense.
It's like, why you want superheroes
to reveal the identity?
But in Invincible,
I ain't a lot, but people be out there doing what they want.
And it's got to be some,
checks and balances.
Like, some of the things that Invincible is doing is like terrorist type of activity.
Like, some of the things that he's doing this insane.
So if you're watching season three, obviously you already know I'm being very vague.
But I take the side of, I take the other side.
I don't take invincible side.
I take the other side.
This man is violent in the season.
Like, he's violent.
Like, some of the stuff he's doing, it's like, bro, are you a hero or a villain?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, imagine, I'm giving a vague scenario.
Imagine, you know, you save somebody.
but at the end of the day
you may have had a partner up
with one of the anti-heroes to save somebody, right?
That happens all the time
in Marvel and DC
sometimes you got to team up with the anti-hero
to save for the sake of more lives, right?
To save more lives.
But, you know, Invincible wasn't going for none of that.
He's like, I could do it myself.
I'm not teaming up with nobody.
I'm like, this man, Wildland.
And so without spoiling anything,
that's all I'm going to say.
It's invincible Wilden.
And I think he deserves some of the,
some of the whoopens that's coming his way because this man like some of the things he's done
like just doesn't make sense like he's just he's a he's a villain like I ain't going to like to
you this man a villain like I'll be feeling the other side a lot when it comes to some of the
decision making anyways um if I keep going I'm probably going to spoil something so I'm going to stop right here
so with that being said that's the teaser for episode seven if you want to see it again's only
25 seconds let's play it one more time this will do hold up
I would pay attention to the one with the Mohawk and the one with the cape.
That's all I'm going to say.
This will do.
Yeah, what's about to happen?
It's about to go down.
So anyways, hopefully you catch up before then because I ain't alive.
When Thursday hit, I'm going to be glued to my television.
So I click my link to your bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Invincible so far and how far are you caught up?
If you haven't started Invincible at all, did I convince you to give it a try?
