Starting point is 00:00:01 So of course, when talking about the goats in the fighting game, we have to mention Max a million because I've been watching him for quite some time, especially during my heyday. And I do say heyday with all emphasis because I was taking people's money left and right in college when MKX came out. When I tell you my super or my subzero ice clone was undefeatable, like I was undefeated using that move time and time again. And you know, you know you're a nerd when you find other nerves that are really good at the game. Y'all put up money and you still come out on top. I mean, come on now. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Starting point is 00:00:41 Like, what's going on? Like, I looked at the state of their ability in MKX and I was like, I'm about to have a payday. So with that being said, of course, Maximilian was one of the people I was watching as far as his coverage. And even him playing MKX, he was all, you already know, he was pretty good at the game. And in general, I think he used to play professionally. Now he just covers it. But the reason why we even bring up the legendary Maximilian is because Invincible versus the 3V3 tag-based fighting game is out. Well, not out now, but the trailer is out now.
Starting point is 00:01:10 But what y'all don't know is Maximilian also had hands-on preview of Invincible versus the fighting game. So we're going to get into what he has to say about it. Obviously, it's 22 minutes. We're not going to stay on it for that long. We're just going to jump around, see what his hands-on opinion is of the game because a lot of people thought this was bare bones. well not bare bones but a lot of people was hesitant thinking that they're just trying to get a cash grab me myself included i was thinking like hold up they're just trying to capitalize off of the invincible cash that whole time is the OG killer instinct devs working on this game and who did i learn it from
Starting point is 00:01:45 maximilian so we're gonna and you know without further ado let's get into his video right now and hold on make sure you know how i always say hit the like button and follow and subscribe this is how you do it right here you know what i mean hit the like button was that you know what i mean it's it's it's it's it's It takes nothing. You see, that was just two seconds. I hit the like button. Not too crazy. So make sure hit the like button or, I mean, it's probably going up on my podcast. Make sure to just follow, hit the bell icon and rate this five stars. So with that being to say, let's get into what Max and Millionia has to say right now. And you know, we got to let the intro play. This is iconic.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Iconic. Y'all may say W. Glace, L. Glaze, I don't care. You know, at the end of the day, you got to give flowers with flowers of dude. What's up, dudes, Max here. Invincible Verses was announced a couple of days ago. a lot of reveal, a lot of mystery, how's the game gonna play? We really didn't get to see much from the trailer. And that is what I'm here to do today. I'm here to give you guys sort of a preview breakdown of how the game plays,
Starting point is 00:02:44 what you can kind of expect through playing it, because I've had a lot of hands on time. And it has been a lot of hands on time. And for those of you that are curious, there are incredible friends in this fighting game community and legacy fighting game developers that are putting Invincible versus together, quite literally the key.
Starting point is 00:03:03 members of Killer Instinct and Double Helix back in 2013. So naturally, you know, they've sort of had my eyes and ears for a while behind the scene. Him dropping that was definitely a gym because of course, like myself concluded, I was thinking that they were just trying to capitalize off of the name whole time. I didn't know it was an iconic legendary team behind this video game. As he gets into, we're going to skip forward a little bit. But when he gets into the mechanics, because he has actual footage, I think only he has. He breaks down. some of the layers that they put into this game. So let's get into it a little bit more.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Game that they're sort of free-flowing tagging. And when you free-flow tag in a character at any point, you successfully do that. The combo meter goes down. A chunk of it is effectively restored, allowing the combo to go even further and allowing that next point character to come in and do their own thing
Starting point is 00:03:55 and have some resources to work with to fill up the combo meter of their own. And then obviously you can tag in again. After that, I don't know how far it goes, but the opponent will likely be dead at some point. And that inherently is awesome, but it leads us to the next biggest issue, which is in versus fighting games and a lot of these tag games,
Starting point is 00:04:12 you just get touched and you die, my dude. The TOD, as it is commonly called, which is the touch of death, has sort of been a malignant part of versus games. Belignant. And a lot of people really dislike. When you have a game like invincible versus that is trying to encourage two-way interaction
Starting point is 00:04:29 and you're tagging and refilling your combo gauge, which is incentivizing the tagging, then what happens? People are just going to die all the time, right? As you can tell, this is going to be a bloody game. You can break the tag portion of a combo as a defender. And that's where Invincible versus is doing something different, where there is a risk-reward associated, where you can get a pretty long combo by yourself as a solo character,
Starting point is 00:04:50 but clearly it extends and goes much further beyond when you bring in other characters, they start tagging in and doing supers and all that stuff. It'll do damage you're likely going to die, but there's a risk associated. Every time you tag in a partner during a physical attack combo, there's a chance for it to be broken.
Starting point is 00:05:08 So there's that risk reward part where it's like, oh yeah, I want to do my TOD against this guy or they can literally turn it on its back and do that against you. We're going to be free-flowing tagging between combos, but that is not a guaranteed reward. Like there is no absolute guarantee
Starting point is 00:05:25 that I'm just going to tag like crazy and do all this stuff. No, the opponent gets options. Now already, you can probably tell this is a more-to-combatite type game, right? I mean, DeCaptain Eve like that, I mean, you already know that's more to combat all over this game. But the main thing I can see watching this game is basically the assists from the other characters, right? And then the switching off to extend your combo already shows a certain level of complexity in the game. So it's not going to be bare bones like a lot of people had hesitancy on as far as the beginning.
Starting point is 00:05:58 So when you see all of these working with each other and the intuitive combat system, and then you hear Max who actually had hands on a reputable person in the fighting game community who had hands on time with it way before this trailer was announced, saying that it's way deeper than we think and what we see is definitely getting my hopes up for this game. Like a medium attack or tagging with a heavy attack, and there's also a faint, you know? So there is multiple options in there. And the faint is like you're dropping the combo almost on purpose to bait the person into pressing a button.
Starting point is 00:06:32 And pretty much the buttons to counter that stuff are pretty easy, like the medium and heavy. So that's cool. The other big aspect of the game that brings us all together is that there is traditional breaks as well, right? Like there is just normal breaking. Characters can come in as assist characters, use a resource, and all of a sudden they have broken the combo, right?
Starting point is 00:06:52 And those are much harder to interrupt, and they're almost like guaranteed, But not until you realize if you know the person is going to come in and do like a raw breaker against any combo with their assist character, you can do a super. So there was counters to it. If you knew that they're coming in and breaking like immediately like on a dime, you can super them and then get a full combo and bring in the next character to the tag. Because their character has lost like a resource, they might not be able to do the tag breaker. So as you could tell, that's what he's talking about, the complexity of the fighting game mechanics.
Starting point is 00:07:25 and that's a huge coson, especially coming from Maximilian. So I'm even more excited for this game. I was already excited, already was going to play it, but now seeing that somebody as reputable as Maximilian had already been played this game for quite some time, and he had footage that nobody's seen as far as the footage we're seeing right now,
Starting point is 00:07:46 and he talks about how the fighting game mechanics is deeper than what we're seeing, it's already putting my expectations through the real. So I think I'm enjoying this game. Obviously, we don't know when this game has come out, is going to come out. They say it's late for release in 2026. Y'all already know, GTA6 is coming out in 202026. So I would assume it's coming out early 2026 because any game that comes after the launch of GTA6 definitely runs the risk of completely getting overshadowed by the ginormous launch that GTA6 is going to be.
Starting point is 00:08:20 So I would assume it's early 2026. But that's just me and my assumptions. Initially speaking, the game is slated to release in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC and Xbox series X and S. So, but that means, I do not know, hold up, is this, hold on. I want to know about the game pass because I do believe it should be coming to the game pass day one. Actually, we don't even know an actual release date, but. Oh, okay, yeah, Invincible is confirmed. Once again, just reiterated my point.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Xbox GamePass has to be one of the most cost-effective ways to be a gamer in today's age. Because Invincible Versus is confirmed to be available day one on the Xbox Game Pass. Ain't that crazy. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop. Like, what's going on? Every time I look at the state of gaming and people talk about Xbox and they don't bring up the game pass, they just have to be misguided.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Because if you look at the game patch, you can see the long, game as far as what Microsoft is trying to do this game coming on the game pass day one along well a lot of other games they previewed at the xbox game showcase which you know shameless plug if you type in xbox games analytic dreams with the z it should pop up as far as my coverage of the xbox game showcase which i got into a lot more games uh in that specific conference but with that being said that's basically it for my coverage of i invincible versus 3 v3 tag base and of course we was dive into and listening to the great and iconic maximilian so definitely make sure to hit the like button on his video and follow for him because of course he's one of the greatest reputable
Starting point is 00:10:04 covers of fighting games so with that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about this in-depth look of invincible versus the fighting game and at the end of the day do you think that this would be one of the best no do you think that this would be the best fighting game to be released in the year of 2026 Thank you.
