Starting point is 00:00:03 It is time once again to dive into K-pop because as you already know, when it comes to a plethora of K-pop musicians, there's one thing that's always going to be intact. And is that choreography. As whoever is doing the choreography work, the coach, the team that's putting together these immaculate videos as far as for the musical attachment, safe to say they need their own award. as we already seen what Jenny from Black Pink could do as far as winning an Oscar for the show for the HBO show mind you the idol for best choreography so safe to say I think Jenny added a lot of prestige to that overall win at the Oscars so with that being said safe to say the group that we're getting in today is called IVE now I don't think it's I if I think it's supposed to say the letters individually so I'm saying
Starting point is 00:01:00 it IVE because that's how I feel like it needs to be or well not needs to be that's how I feel like it's pronounced so if you don't know what the who these people are just know as a six-member south Korean girl pop or girl K-pop group and of course if you don't know these individuals where you're about too soon you guys as if you don't know when it comes to the major label which is Starship Entertainment that came together December 1st 2021 I'm talking about Starship entertainment with ivy under starship safe to say there's a lot of other acts under starship um like 11 like i i v e and of course when you look at the x the x i zone members as far as eun and juan young it definitely helped out starship entertainment overall now all the numbers as far as
Starting point is 00:01:53 the overall revenue for the actual major label starship entertainment isn't accessible as of right now so i was wanting to get more of a broader picture but of course i am very grateful to be able to dive into this k-pop group as currently they have the the um they have the 149th most play music video in the world with bang bang and while 149th may not be something to brag about for the superstars in the music industry safe to say they are six no they're the 16th most play video in malaysia the number seven in taiwan and of course number 13 in Hong Kong. You know, when it comes a notorious mass effect,
Starting point is 00:02:34 safe to say, we definitely cover all the genres that notoriously affect the masses. Well, except for EDM and rock. You get the point. So when it comes to IBE, diving back into this K-pop group, as far as the rise to fame, just so you know,
Starting point is 00:02:51 they formed in 2021, had their break, oh, the breakout track was 11. It was another group. The breakout track was 11, and, no, that was their debut track. You know what I'm saying? Shepard.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Yeah, my fault. I'm gonna get it together. Hey, the debut track was 11. The breakout hits was Love Dive and After Like. So 2021, fast forward into 2026. And objectively speaking, as far as on DSPs, X OXZ is the most popular song right now. But Bang Bang is quickly rising on that list as the music video is going crazy. And usually, that accumulates some type of streams on DSPs.
Starting point is 00:03:29 So with that being said, The main thing I was one to dive into besides IVE is just the overall structure of the analytical side of K-pop. Because if you don't know what I'm referring to, there's a specific metric site that's called Mellon, which is a South Korea top music streaming platform. Right. So those metrics aren't really popular where I live as far as the United States. We don't really look at Mellon to see what is notoriously affecting the masses. And maybe, just maybe, you know, if the bad bunny show, then tell you. y'all one thing is that people are starting to broaden their palette when it comes to music consumption
Starting point is 00:04:07 and now you really do have to look at the whole world as far as what people are listening to musically because i don't know about y'all but i very much enjoyed that bad bunny super bowl performance so now when we get into ive as far as their top tracks currently they are peaking in the two to six range you know it fluctuates their daily debut as far as on melon is 21 and and when it comes to hot 100 they currently have the number one slot so even though overall as far as all the uh as far as the entire planet earth they have the 149th most play music video they are number one where it matters most as far as the hometown though basically it's a home game for them specifically when it comes to the top chart the chart topping analytics and it's not going to stop
Starting point is 00:04:56 there as you look at iTunes worldwide songs and they debut around the 19 to 38 range once again if luxuries. And of course, when it comes to top K-pop category placements, they are top in 21 to 27 countries. So, that being said, you know, we couldn't stop this analytical diatribe without including QQ music. As QQ music is from China, right? And currently, IVE is number one. And when you look at the Japan real-time charts, yes, you boy, does his research over here, you know what I'm saying? When you look at the actual Japan real-time chart, Safe to Say IVE currently has the number one slide on AWA, line, music, and more. So whenever people look at you and say to themselves, or say to you, my matter of fact, I just can't get what artists that don't speak my language.
Starting point is 00:05:52 You got to look at them and just say to yourself. Don't even say to them because we don't spread negativity. But just think this in your mind. You guys. See, that's the problem. You know, with the internet, there's so many things that's accessible nowadays. And what is the point of keeping your palate so ignorant to the point where you disregard all the other genres? Now, if you listen to it and you say it's not for you, that's one thing.
Starting point is 00:06:18 But to not dive deep into these cultures. And of course, I'm a little biased because I do this for a living. But as far as diving into these different genres, you may come to find out that you actually enjoy a plethora of musicians and other genres, even if you don't understand the words like personally for me uh paco um jane kook uh i say jane junk cook uh of course jenny from black pink i mean i can't stop talking about her i mean her track with the weekend i keep saying it's one of my favorite tracks of all time as far as uh i think it's one of the girls or something like that it's often a soundtrack of the idol but when it comes to other genres i do believe that with the access of the internet as far as what it gives us as far as being able to see
Starting point is 00:06:58 these artists whenever we want to. I'm not saying you have to. But let's just say if you want to have a more well-rounded, a more cerebral type of conversation with music lovers, it may be time to dive into these type of artists like an IVE, like a BTS, like a Tito, Double P, P peso, Pluma. There's so many artists out there that's notoriously affecting the masses. And just because they're not on the Billboard Hot 100,
Starting point is 00:07:25 the world may never know. You guys. See, that's the problem. So that's what we're here for. So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio. Let me know one of my social media. What do you think about IvyE, the six-member K-pop group, girl group, mind you? And at the end of the day, who is your favorite artist outside of the genre you majority, you primarily listen to?
