Starting point is 00:00:04 That's how you need to know. The great white hope of hip hop is back as Mr. Harlow is set to release his new single titled Loving on Me. Obviously he teased on social media as you see right here, including TikTok and Instagram. I'm just showing the Twitter video. And if you want to see Video Element, of course, Analytic Dreams video on Spotify. Jack Harlow is a. an artist I have immense respect for because he actually tries to rap. Nowadays, people in the hip hop industry come to hit a lick and then leave.
Starting point is 00:00:53 And I'm not saying that's a wrong approach, right? Get it how you live. But I just have to point it out as somebody who obviously doesn't look like them, but for the sake of the joke, his exact replica. that came way before he did, and he even appeared on his show, talking about Jack Harlow on his show. Let me take you back to memory lane.
Starting point is 00:01:20 It may make me old, but, hey, whatever. 2015, a rapper that went by the name of Little Dickie put out this album titled Professional Rapper. Yes, that was his rap name, and that was the album title. That was phenomenal. Not gonna lie to you, that album was a full length project of just straight heat. He goes on to make TV shows for Hulu titled Dave. Simply because his music videos, I guess, got some type of
Starting point is 00:01:56 acknowledgement from the higher-ups that, like, led them to give him a full TV show. I think it goes without saying that he was white. Like, it's okay to acknowledge, you know, white privilege when it happens. But at the end of the day, I had to point it out because I don't know anybody. I mean, I know y'all say Childish Gambino, but he's been putting out albums. It wasn't his first album and it was like, hey, how about you make Atlanta for us? It wasn't, it ain't happened like that. That man had to make multiple albums that the world gravitated towards.
Starting point is 00:02:28 And for Little Dickie to come out, put out one singular album. And I think he's currently on his third season. of Dave on Hulu. So that may sound like, hey, but let me tell you some. I enjoyed the show. So that's why I said at the beginning, get it how you live. Because even though he used the rap game to catapult into the television industry, he still used hip hop as his foundation as far as his fans.
Starting point is 00:03:00 He always says he's going to come back. But it's 2023. He put out his first and only album in 2015. Obviously, he's given us music throughout the years, but not an album. People talk about Kendrick. Little Dickie is the worst version of that. And he's given us great content in a TV forum. But as a person who was introduced to Little Dickie through his music,
Starting point is 00:03:30 I'm upset that we've only had one album in the past was going on nine to ten years. So now let's fast forward to Jack Harlow. That's why I like what Jack Harlow is doing in the hip hop field. I like that he came on with the same type of introspective bars while also being catchy because that's what Lil Dickie was, I feel like. But it seems like he has that Drake-like affinity towards pleasing his fan base musically, not just doing what he wants and using hip-hop, but also giving us music that the world gravitates towards.
Starting point is 00:04:06 So now he's back again with a new single title Loving on Me that is seemingly going to be more of a dancey type track as I don't think he was just promoting or put out this promo clip for no reason of him just dancing to it. I think that honestly, if that was the dance that they wanted people to do to the song, I wouldn't have been a surprise because you know marketing strategies nowadays are getting more complex and disguised as just. just, oh, we're having fun. So I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Recently, Jack Harlow is also active on the track 3D with the one, the only, Junk Cook. And I say that because that man is on fire. When I talk about successful 2023, Junk Cook, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallin, they're up there. So that been saying, Jack Harlow's latest album, Jack Man, that released in April, I believe, was straight fire, just straight bars.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Obviously, let me get into it because I know a lot of people are going to be like, if you don't bring this up, you are staying. He did not have the greatest outing on Come Home to Kids Miss You. And the reason I'm saying that is just simply because it was a very boring album. You can rap about your life, but I think he got into the battle rap side of things where battle rappers rap well, but the songs they're making is not good. Jack Harlow got into the side of You're making an album Only featuring Pharrell, Drake, and Justin Timberlake and Little Wayne And the rest is just feeling lackluster
Starting point is 00:05:48 Like you set it up to be such a classic Ends up being lackluster And that's from somebody who actually likes Jack Harlow What I would say I think he needs to Do what Drake does Literally like just copy him and bring ESTG
Starting point is 00:06:06 not even ESTG. Who's the poppin Kill them all rapper? Like, you know, just gangster appeal out the roof. Like Jack Hollow, 21 Savage, well, Drake already took him. Jack Hollow, Little Dirk.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Oh, wait, Drake already took him. You get what I'm saying? Like, Jack Harlow's image needs that combination of a street rapper, which is why I think his remix was so well, so well done with, I think it was Toy Lane's. Let me see.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Yeah. He had the baby, Toy Lane's like do stuff like that, but just up in, like up to date hood rappers. That's what Jack Harlow needs. Because his album was just full of, oh,
Starting point is 00:06:52 I'm now, I made it type bars. Or not I made it type bars, but basically it felt like I made it type album when I feel like you should really still be in the trenches, quote unquote,
Starting point is 00:07:03 which is why I really like Jack Harlow Jackman album. I think that that album was fire. That was him getting back to his roots. Literally, I mean, look at the picture. That's kind of what I'm talking about. Like, that image, being white boy and hip hop,
Starting point is 00:07:21 even if it's fabricated just a little bit, Eminem did it, so why not you? Like, so I'll be finding out who's the modern day hood rappers that Drake hasn't already collaborated with and get them on your latest album. but for this latest album no for this latest single titled loving on me that's releasing
Starting point is 00:07:41 Friday I think it's going to be straight fire and I think it would be a top 10 hit honestly I think Jack Harlow is one of those where at this point he's built up a foundation to where he puts out music and it definitely impacts his charts but only the future would tell so click my link to you in my bio
Starting point is 00:07:59 let me know one of my social media is what do you think about Jack Harlow and the rollout for his upcoming single loving on me and when it eventually comes out Friday, which is November 10th, will you be giving it a listen?
