Analytic Dreamz: Notorious Mass Effect - "JAKE LA FURIA - FAME"

Starting point is 00:00:03 Now this is my first time getting into this specific musician, so I definitely want to put respect on his name as Jake LaFuria, hopefully I'm saying that right, has just put out a new album titled Fame. Now, the thing with this is, the album Fame by Jake LaFuria is very interesting because of it being more of a collab album with Night Skinny. Now, of course, one of the premier tracks that's even had playlisting is Viagra. I know, right? I mean, a track title of Viagra. I wanted what the subject matter is. It's not just plain. So anyways, Jake LaFerea has a track title of Viagra featuring Kid UG and, of course,

Starting point is 00:00:46 Nice Skinny. And that's one of the premier tracks for the simple fact that it's the premier track that they're using the playlist on all these different, to put on all of these different playlists. Now, of course, who is Jake Lafuria? That's probably what you're asking right now. Well, basically, he is an Italian rapper, record producer, and radio hosts. If you don't know, he was initially with groups such as Club Dogo with, I definitely can't say. Is it Guay Pugano?

Starting point is 00:01:19 So he's with Pugano and Don, Don, I don't think there's Joe. I think that's Don. Okay, whatever. Pugeno and Don. That's what we're going to call them, right? And of course, the other group he was a part of was a sacred scuba. I ain't going to lie to you.

Starting point is 00:01:40 I butcher that. Yeah, that's just completely butcher. But anyways, as far as Jake, he's known for his hardcore rap and melodic pop rap type of delivery as far as throughout his solo career. And of course, his stage name, that is Jake Lafuria, is basically inspired by Jake Heke from Once Were Warrior. So he definitely has a lot of callbacks to why he's even named,

Starting point is 00:02:06 why he goes by his stage name, and why people gravitate towards music. Because when it comes to rap, obviously I pander towards the hip-hop and R&B side of things because that's just who I grew up on. So when you see other fields and other destinations getting into rap and basically building a career off a rap is always great because it just shows the overall reach of the genre that is rap.

Starting point is 00:02:37 It shows how far we've came from where we started, right? So with this particular album titled Fame with his, oh, okay, so it's not a, well, it's technically, so I said Night Skinny, but he's the producer. So it's technically Jake Lafureas album, but he did something that I never seen an artist do. Like as far as I guess future and Metro kind of did do the same thing as far as future putting Metro on all his tracks as like a feature title even though he was just a producer. Not just a producer like it was just like a minimum like role.

Starting point is 00:03:09 I'm just saying like usually artists don't put their producer as a feature. They just put it in the credits. But for Night Skinny is the opposite. Jake has them all over this album on every single track listed as a feature. So that's why I thought he was like a collab project. but it's really just Jake's album and Night Skinny as the producer. So, of course, with the album fame, you have features like Rose Villain, R.D. 5, Kid Yugi, Narissa, Narissima Serp. I think that's how you said. Ernia, Noyes, Narcos, Tony Boy, Papa V. Anise, Bresch, and Al Barozy.

Starting point is 00:03:49 Hopefully I didn't butcher those names too much. And then, of course, the more standout church. track, well, the standout track that they're putting out all these different playlisting, well, that they're putting on all these different playlists is Viagra that's featuring the artist Kid Yugi. Now, of course, this specific track is more of a street influenced lyric with catchy beats, but the main thing about is that when it comes to sales and Jake Lafereo, you have to look at his overall success on the Italian charts to get why he's such a big deal. This man puts up ginormous numbers, especially in this specific region. As when you look at it from a totality standpoint, this man has fans widely sharing his music and clips and showcasing how he's one of the stronger performers in Italy.

Starting point is 00:04:40 So that is why whenever you put out this music and show actual effort as far as having limited edition copies anticipated, well, limited edition copies to tag along with the album. you kind of realize that this artist is taking the whole rollout process more seriously because some artists just put out music and they be like hey that's what I'm giving you that's what you have but for Jake he's giving limited edition physical copies he's going on tour he's basically doing a tour well he already had a sold out 10-day tour for his double platinum album for his group his group reunion which we was a club club dogo and with that the major concert as far as that 10-day tour was a sans ciro stadium in Milan so he's been everywhere safe to say so with this album fame that is currently

Starting point is 00:05:39 out now in all DSPs 37 minutes in length so not the longest listen so you know i would definitely check it out 14 tracks obviously jacliferia is is shaping up to have another successful project in Italy as far as his specific region of course worldwide as far as globally.
