All right. So we're getting into Overwatch 2 spotlight trailer. Obviously this just came out 17 hours ago.
Already has almost 700,000 views. So people are really enjoying Overwatch 2 still. I don't know if it's just the trash or whatever you go to the comment section.
People are not seeming too happy. They say what market competition does to a MF?
Marvel rivals got Blizzard sweating so much that they're actually going to put in a feature that was promised at launch.
So people are not seeing me, I know I just read two, but obviously you saw the comment section.
People are not seeming too enthused by this trailer.
So let's get into it.
Obviously, it's 34 minutes.
We're not going to get into that much.
Like, basically, I'm going to skip around in it and get to some of the more pivotal parts and then let you make up your mind as far as if you enjoy the trailer or not.
So anyways, without further ado, let's get into the Overwatch 2 Spotlight trailer right now.
You got all type of ass.
Initiating boosters in three.
Don't forget, this event took place on February.
February 12th and basically it was just to highlight a lot of the new updates for the game.
I have goosebumps.
Alright, so this is more of a highlight.
Let's see if we can get into the details.
A ton of requests for, so keep that feedback coming.
We'll also share what's going on with e-sports, including how it's expanding with the reintroduction of Overwatch into China.
Of course, some info on Overwatch classic, as well as 6 v6.
and hopefully a few surprises mixed in as well.
We know what this universe means to all of you,
and our team is driven by the idea of working together with all of you
in this wonderful community.
Developing the best version of this universe
for years and years to come is what truly matters.
We're so thankful that you are all on this journey with us.
And there's so much to tell you about that you're going to want to stick around.
to celebrate the glory of.
Finding what your hero is capable of.
Let's look at an example now with ERISA.
When you level up ERISA to level two,
your minor perk choice will be between heat reduction on your primary fire
or the ability to briefly take burst damage with Fortify.
Are you facing down a junkrat and want to be able to survive his tire?
The upgrade to Fortify might be a great choice.
The fun
rank in any mode by rocking these battle-ready cosmetics with pride. We're also excited to report that
we're bringing rake icons back to the hero portraits while you're in competitive play. We'd like to do more
of this sort of thing in the future, but for now, this will give players that want to show off their
skill by sharing their gameplay an easier way to do that. Now, season 15's rank reset. We've tuned our
ranks again, and we're confident you can reach new heights that show off your true skill,
Whether you've been away for a while or you've been grinding up until the last minute in some questionable end of season matches.
Most importantly, we think these soft resets work best when we're introducing big new features that change what it means to be skilled at the game.
I'm happy to announce that hero bands are officially coming to the game.
Let's continue.
We know you've been asking for this feature and we're looking forward to building our take on it.
We know you've been asking for this feature.
I wonder what incentivize them to put hero bands into the game.
Hmm, fool for that.
Don't worry. No pools or cats or cats and pools are involved.
We want a system that punches up at the strong or frustrating heroes
without punching down at weaker niche picks.
We also want a system that's very fast that gives you nuanced control over outcomes
and that we can tweak based on your feedback.
As you've seen, we're building a lot of new features.
And speaking of buildings, what if you had more control over which of our buildings you spend your time in?
We're happy to announce that map voting will be coming to the game after Hero Bans.
Both Hero Bands and Map Voting are exclusive to competitive play.
I ain't a lot.
I do like the map voting because in Marvel Watch,
I ain't, Marvel Watch.
What type of game is that?
What type of game am I talking about?
Anyways, in Marvel Rivals, I think in Platinum and above,
you should be able to pick maps because I ain't a lot to you.
The latest map that's in New York City based off the Fantastic Four or whatever.
that map is atrocious.
Now, I know it's the newest map, so it may not be as,
we may not know all the meta, whatever, around the map,
but for the main thing that I wanted to get across is that,
that specific map, I think, is currently trash compared to the rest of the maps.
Like, imagine if Wakanda or Asgard came in the future
and came in this update instead of the New York map.
Like, I think the sentiments would be opposite.
We'd be like, oh, this is a great addition to the maps, right?
for the New York City map
it's just not it like I don't know
if it's just the confusion
like pathways in the map
or if at the end of the point
like to get to the point
it's like all type of
walls you got to get around
it's like if you go one way
you can't be in a dead end
and you have to walk all the way around
just to get back to the point like I just don't like
those type of maps I think there should be multiple
pathways that's easily accessible
as far as getting to the point
So anyways.
One of the other changes I'm particularly excited about is a quality of life update I wanted
to build since my first day on the job.
When I joined the team, I was challenged to list the top 10 things I wanted to work on.
Back then, we chose the ping system from that list, but today we're building my number one,
and that's improved hero information.
And a game about mastery like ours, equipping.
Another thing that Marvel rivals already had it launched, but you know, this is not an
Overwatch hate session.
I just wanted to let you all know that they came out with a new Overwatch
watch 2 spotlight video.
We also didn't even touch on what is one of the most impactful changes coming later this year, more map reworks.
There will be reworks of both original Flashpoint maps, Suravasa, and New Junk City.
We also are working on major reworks to another batch of classic maps, so you have to stay tuned as we share those details.
Alright, so obviously as you heard, you got to stay tuned things of that nature.
the only problem with that is uh marvell rivals is going crazy right now i don't know if y'all know
but it's still one of the top games played in general on all platforms like if we go to the
analytics right now uh if we go to analytics right it's currently two three three three three
four five six it's the eighth most play game on steam has 114 000 concurrently playing like right now
but as far as a 24 hour peak it has uh three hundred and thirty one thousand twenty four hour peak
So obviously, when it comes to the 24-hour peak, it'll be like in the top five.
So with that being considered, Marvel Rivals is still an immensely popular game.
Overwatch is nowhere to be found on this list.
And Overwatch 2 is nowhere to be found on this list.
So I think them coming out with this type of video makes sense to let their fans know
that we are trying to come up with some type of way to combat the immense popularity of Marvel rivals
by also incorporating some of their elements into our game.
Because, of course, even though I'm a Marvel Rivals fan, we can't ignore the fact that they had heavy inspiration.
from Overwatch.
So with that being said, that's the main thing I wanted to get into.
I was wondering if there was something else I missed.
So there was new mythic skins for Zen Yada, Juno, and Diva.
And competitive, we talked about hero bands, map voting, competitive rewards,
Twitch drops under Cyber DJ Lucio and Flirty, Flair, but, oh, exclusive skins
by watching other creators streams and what else.
Stadium mode, a new game mode launching in Ceeves.
Season 16 offering a best of seven format with Hero customization through Stadium Coins earned during matches.
So the main thing is they're trying, right?
It's good to see a develop with just a successful game like Overwatch, especially with their
addition of Overwatch 2 just being in the faces of their consumers, letting them know, like,
at least we're fighting back.
We're not just laying down and letting Marvel rivals just run over the hero mobile shooter lane,
right they're putting out these updates to basically let their fans know that hey we see that
marvels is the popular mobile right now but we got some updates that we think is immensely popular
and will greatly enhance the overall experience of the gameplay so i think it's a good strategy
and overall uh even though some of the things is heavily influenced by marvel rival's popularity
i think it's a good thing that they're still being in the faces of the consumers and showcasing
why they're popular in the first place.
So with that being said, click my link to your bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about this Overwatch 2 Spotlight trailer
if you want to watch it for yourself?
Here it is.
Remember if anybody's watching this after the fact,
analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
But with that being said, click my link to in my bio,
let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about Overwatch 2 spotlight video?
And at the end of the day,
do you think this will help them combat the popularity of Marvel rivals?
