listen that's cool motherfucking bars nigger you know nothing about that hold up let me play that one more
time yeah listen that's cool motherfucking bars nigger you know nothing about that all right ladies and
gentlemen back to the pg podcast so anyways dochi and jenny just released a new track titled extra
with a capital l so i don't know if it's extra i don't know if it's extra i don't know if it's extra
I'm confused.
So with that being said, we're just going to call it extra.
So that being said, Jenny, if you don't know, it's from Black Pink.
I've covered her a numerous amount of times.
I mean, as far as Jenny, I've given her all the flowers in the world have covered her like several times.
Goodness.
And especially when it comes to, I think it was the Emmys that gave the HBO show, the Idol, best choreography.
I highlighted her scene in that show because if you watch the actual show, you realize it's not too much Emmy-worthy things going on in that show.
put it like that so as far as the soundtrack and her choreography i think those were the ultimate standout
it wasn't even close like by far as far as the entire project is considered and numerous times i've said
that overseas artists i don't know what it is but as far as the overall effort into choreography
and putting on a show for your fans i think they take i think they take that way more serious than
certain other genres i'm not going to say what specifically but you already know when it comes to
music videos there's a certain copy and paste format that people just seem to love as far as the
masses but when it comes to actually putting back the r oi and to the product and making that into
an actual show with choreography and things going around the show to make it more appealing to the
masses i think overseas artists have more of a handle on how to approach that because they show
a lot more effort which is why i think the idol ended up winning best choreography because of course
with Jenny being involved with one of the choreography scenes in the show, she was the standout
when it came to that specific aspect. So you attach that alongside Dochi, and now you have one of the more
pivotal hip-hop artists in today's age, not only from a lyrical standpoint, but also from an
effort standpoint. So it makes all the sense in the world to pair these two artists because you
know they are going to give their collaboration a very, very,
high effort type of attempt and not only did they attempt but I think they succeed as
dochi's very masterful way uh what dochi's way of putting together words is on a master class level
she's probably one of the better rappers in today's age commercial wise and not even commercial
wise because our first album alligator bites never heal i don't think sold a lot well not i don't
think it didn't sell a lot but of course when it comes to grommies
She ended up getting a lot of nominations to the point where she actually ended up winning best rap album for her album, Alligator Bites Never Healed.
So when it comes to Doche being a Grammy winning artist, this is a lot of pressure as far as following up that year, talking about 2024.
And I think making a collaborative effort with Jenny is a perfect move, not only from the music video choreography standpoint.
because if you don't know, Dochi herself and her music videos is one of the outliers in hip hop as far as actually putting forth effort in her music videos to the point where it's not only extravagant, but it's also unique as far as telling a conceptual story.
So that already sets her to the side.
Then you add the top tier lyricism that goes along with her track, and now you have the makings of a superstar.
So you combine that.
you combine Jenny, who's already making waves in her current field, especially with her track
with Dominique Fight Love Hangover and in her previous track, Zen, you come to realize that these
two artists is definitely a match made in heaven because it's not too many artists that could
stick with a K-pop musician when it comes to overall choreography and things in the nature.
Doshi is one of the few in hip-hop, in my opinion.
So I think this is a great match as far as in the industry.
Now, as far as when it comes to the overall charts, Jenny currently doesn't have any charts.
She doesn't have any tracks charting in the Billboard Top 100.
But Dochi currently has three.
She has Denial is a River, which is the 21st most played track in the world.
And then you have Nissan Ultima, which is the 73 most played track in the world.
And of course, her, okay, so she only has two.
So Nissan Ultima is the second with it being the 73 most play track.
track in the world and then her top track is Denio's a river which is the 21st most play track in the
world and then when you come to the albums dochi with alligator bites never heal currently has
the 14th most popular track in the world now that made me go all the way down to the credits
and try to figure out who she's under and when i found that out it made all the sense in the world
Columbia records a division of Sony music entertainment if you don't know Sony currently has
music market share. So when it comes to UMG having 59%, Sony having 21% Warrenair having 15%.
And of course, others is small labels and independent musicians. They have 5% of the entire music
market share. So being under Sony, the second biggest, the second biggest music label in the world,
currently it makes sense. It makes all the sense in the world. So with that being stated,
not only is she having sales on an immense level, but she also has top tier lyricism to
go with that which is not the usual combination when it comes to the overall landscape of the masses
if something's replayable people really don't care as much if it's as lyrical a top-tier double
or triple entendres but of course with doji she's found a sweet spot and having top-tier lyricism
along with commercial sales now of course i think Kendrick is to thank for that because he
opened up the doorway for more conscious music to come through the door to the door to
through the door if only corday would have held his album for another year i think his album would
have sold a lot more especially in today's landscape with kendrick pushing more of the conscious
agenda and you know let aubru tell it trying to get more strippers to bring dictionaries to his show so
with that being said jenny and douchy is a phenomenal team up whoever put them together just
obviously knows what they're doing especially on a marketing level and these two having this
extra, I can see it going crazy on the charts, but not only that from a quality level,
I can see it having some nominations from the Grammys. Yes, that's how big I think this collaboration
is and it's going to be. So when it comes to Jenny and her album, I believe she is putting out
her album, Ruby, set to come out in 13 days, basically, March 7, 2025. So that's going to be a big
indication on where Jenny's career is going to go.
But this is technically, let me see, I think this is technically Dochi's track.
Oh, no, no, this is Jenny's track.
Okay, that makes more sense.
So this is Jenny's track leading up to her album, Ruby, that's releasing once again
13 days, but more specifically, March 7, 2025.
So this makes all the sense in the world because Jenny's last single with Dominique
fight didn't chart at all, not saying it was a bad track.
just saying they didn't sell like i always say throughout my podcast just because something sells well
does not mean this high quality but just because it doesn't sell anything doesn't mean that it's
atrocious right the two do not correlate the times that it do correlate then i guess that's when you have a
smash hit so with this particular track the quality is already there but we're just got to wait
and see if this actually ends up being a commercial success um as far as uh dochi
specifically i actually don't know what's next for dochi when it comes to dochi um i i believe
she's under tde if you don't know about tde they are very precise with how they want their artist to move so
when it comes to the next projects and future music this is something that they probably looked over
with a fine-tooth comb and basically green lit it but now when it comes to doche's own career i'll be
interested to see what she does because jenny after her ruby album comes out comes out march 7th she's
gone on the Ruby Experience concert series in Los Angeles, New York, and Ichon, uh, each on,
what in the world? Inch Eon, South Korea. I'm sorry. I ain't butchered down purpose. I'm just,
hey man, I'm doing my best. So and now of course, Jenny's a part of Black Pink, Black Pink. So that
2025 World Tour starts in, uh, I don't know when it starts, but it's basically going to go across
10 major cities including LA, Chicago, Toronto, and New York. So as far as Dochi, I don't know what she has next.
As far as future music or things that nature, but as far as Jenny, she's definitely touring
after she puts out her album, Ruby, March 7, 2025. So with that being considered, click my link
tree in my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about Jenny and Doche's
latest track extra? And if you listen to the track, what do you think about it and what was your
standout part of the song.
