I just want to point out that the reason that the idol, as far as the award-winning show is considered,
the award-winning part is mainly due to the fact that Jenny had a phenomenal scene in the choreography
as far as the HBO show titled The Idol.
And even though the main star was the weekend in, I forget the other person, but basically the weekend, right?
Jenny came through in her choreography and took the world by storm for the simple fact that K-pop in its entirety, I think puts the most effort into choreography when it comes to performing.
Now, when it comes to other genres, of course, they try their best and they have a lot of theatrics as far as their performances is considered.
But when it comes to choreography and dancing, I think K-pop, I don't know what it is as far as the handlers and the way that they put together in performances.
But in general, from BTS, from Black Pink, from a lot of other different groups in the K-pop variety, I think they really emphasize the choreography.
and in captivating fans through their dance routines.
So now with the HBO TV show, The Idol,
winning the award for outstanding choreography for scripted programming,
as far as the Emmys is considered,
now that is an Emmy winning show,
as far as Emmy Award winning show,
because of the choreography with the Jenny scene,
which if you've seen the Idol,
then you probably already know what I'm talking about.
But if you don't, I would highly recommend that you watch Jenny as far as her choreography scene and the idol.
But just know, the overall show isn't the greatest.
So anyways, Jenny, the reason why we even covering her today is because she's back again with a new single titled mantra.
And if you didn't know, Jenny is from Black Pink.
There's a lot of K-pop musicians in the field from BTS, from Black Pink, new jeans.
there's a lot of other ones in the
K-pop community that I've been covering
about, I forget the name right now, but as far as those
are the top three I would say right now
in the field because
when it comes to impacting the masses
Jenny just partnered with Columbia Records
and that means
that being under
a label as a musician
that other peers
now like your coworkers
technically who are under the same label
such as a Beyonce and
Adele would definitely add
add to her overall international influence because obviously in her own region, she's definitely
a superstar.
But as far as the American base, I think partnering with Columbia Records would definitely
help her cross over if she hasn't already.
So anyways, mantra that's out now in all DSPs is titled as a self-love and individuality
type of track that encourages listeners to embrace their uniqueness.
when you go to Jenny, she has a specific track that's one of my favorites because, of course, you know, going back to the show, The Idol, which I'm not going to lie to you. The Idol, to this day, is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, like, in life. So the soundtrack for this TV show, The Idol, is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. No surprise because the weekend also made, earned it for 50 Shays of Grey. That is also just unequivocally one of the best tracks ever created. So Jenny,
and the weekend had a track on that soundtrack titled One of the Girls,
and safe to say, that's a phenomenal track, and that's underselling it tenfold.
It's such a phenomenal track from the sense of the weekend's vocal ability,
Jenny's vocal ability, and the overall dynamic of the duality of both being on the same track, right?
So when you get to Jenny already having certain tracks out in 2024, such as slow motion,
that she made that track with a Matt champion.
And then she also has a track spot that was made with Zico.
This is her first track that solo to her titled Mantra.
And then guess what it's under?
Of course, Columbia Records, like I was saying.
And then that's a division of Sony Music Entertainment,
if you wanted to know the whole major label side of thing.
So when it comes to Jenny,
it is said that she's starting her new error
that offers fans both Joy and Showcase and Showcase.
her new side of her as a solo artist.
So safe to say she broke out, right?
I don't think she's returning to Black Pink,
but I may be miss speaking when it comes to that,
but it seems like she's putting heavy emphasis
on a solo career.
So now, if you're in Los Angeles,
which she's moved to as far as recording,
having her recording sessions in Los Angeles,
and then also having her music video directed by Tanu Muino,
who's also a renowned director,
who has worked,
on a worked with artists like Harry Styles, Doja Cat, Cardi B, etc. You can understand why
Muino, who is the director, as far as being an award-winning director, winning best direction at the
2021 MTV Video Music Awards for Little Nas X Montero. And now you're collabing with Jenny, who in all
intents and purposes is the reason why the idol is even an Emmy award-winning show with her
choreography scene in that TV show. I mean, it's just a match made in heaven. And then to go with
the single mantra, I mean, I could see this track having major effect on the charts when it comes
to impacting the masses. So when I really want to get into, it's just the fact that she's
teasing a whole new genie as far as her branching out from Black Pink. Now,
I would say that the overall single released last year, I believe, that was titled You and Me.
It's just a, this is just a continuation of that as far as her showcasing what she can do by herself.
Because notably, there's other artists amongst Black Pink that's also going solo.
Like, Rosey announced her debut album titled Rosie.
And then Lisa, of course, I've covered her before.
if you look at Lisa, analytic dreams, it would pop up.
Lisa released her single Moonlight, Moonlit Floor,
which is inspired by Sixpence Nanda Richard.
So when you get into that aspect of just Jenny being surrounded by talent
and just them branching off,
it's very reminiscent of BTS the way that V, the way that Junk Cook,
the way that a lot of, like Jay Hope,
just branched off into their solo career.
and still has success.
So it's imperative that I point that out
because just note that all these different international genres
having success on the charts
is something to be highlighted
because that in all intents of purposes
is going to affect hip hop and other genres moving forward
because now they're going to be more inclined
to collab with these type of artists
for the simple fact that when they put out music with them,
it will also impact a whole different demographic.
graphic as far as bringing in a new fan base so the reason why i say that is because it's literally a
track out with um i think it's megan the stallion and there's another k-pop artist i think they have a
track out um let me see so i'll let me see i don't think i don't think that's it i know
megan the stallion was on the remix for dTS's butter but there's another track
Oh, never play. That's what it is.
Okay.
So there's a track titled Never Play with the BTS leader, quote unquote, R.M.
So now you have R.M., J. Hope, Junk, V, all branching out in their own solo careers.
And now you have notable superstars in hip hop partnering with these K-pop musicians for the simple fact that now they are understanding the massive impact that these K-pop musicians are having.
So now, as far as cross-collaborative efforts, it's really a win-win.
You get to appeal to their fan base in their specific region, and they get to appeal to your fan base in your specific region.
Like, it's really such a great match as far as genuinely, well, not genuinely, but, you know, on a business size, making music together.
Because another instance of this is when I totally forgot what the other instance was.
I don't know how I just forgot that quick.
It was another instance where they cross-collab.
but um oh jack harlowe that's what i was thinking of i think it was jack harlowe and hope i don't know
i don't know if it was jay hope let me see jack harlowe i think it was junk cook it was like
run in the game it was like a year or two ago yeah the track 3d with jack harlowe junk cook and
jack hollow so basically that was another instance of the cross collaborative efforts helping out both
sides as junk cook was on fire i mean every hip-hop musician was trying to get a hold of junk
last year. So with that being, if you want to hear the whole recap of that, just look up
Junk Cook analytic dreams. And I have a whole timeline of every track that he put out last year as far
as the rise and the fame with his solo debuts, or not debut, but his solo singles. And the way
that he was impacting the masses was actually pretty insane. Like, I don't think I've seen a K-pop
musician really replicate his amount of success that he had, especially in the States since
then. I mean, everybody was trying to collab with Junk Cook last year. So with that being said,
of course, we're talking about Jenny. So let me get back to her. So Jenny has her track mantra out,
and she also shared some time in Paris. I don't know if she was at a fashion show or what,
but she was in Paris recently. And she's been building up her album.
She's been building up her album hype with this specific track mantra.
So there's no telling when the album is going to actually come.
But all I do know at this point is that mantra is definitely out now on all DSPs.
And I emphatically believe that this is going to be one for the history books.
So with that being said, my only tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social media is.
What do you think about Jenny's solo comeback?
And as far as the idol being an Emmy award winning show, do you think it's because, well, because of the
being an award-winning show as far as the Emmy is considered for winning outstanding
choreography for scripted programming do you think it was solely because of Jenny's dancing
scene in the idol
