Now, of course, if you follow the podcast, you already know that we've covered Jenny several times on this platform as far as the first time being in December 5th of 2023. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I've been tapped into the K-pop community for quite some time. And fun fact, that was actually my first ever viral moment of somebody clipping my own content and putting it out to their fan base to shout me out, which is interesting how I've covered hip hop for all these years. I say all these years. I mean, I've been doing it for like, what, four or five years at this point? But all these years, in the first genre to ever shopped me out on social media in the fashion that they did, which led to tremendous traction that even lasted to this day as far as where we're at, as far as 180 to 190,000 weekly downloads.

It's like, interesting how the first one came from K-pop, right? It's just interesting. I think there's something there with that. But anyways, you know, so of course, here I am again to talk about another immaculate K-pop musician. as Jenny has changed the game once more with the album Ruby. Now, when it comes to her most impactful track off of the album currently, it is extra, because that is the 75th most played track in the world. But of course, when this album, well, when this album starts gaining more traction,

we will see what's the real single because with her team, they're basically stating the handlebars featuring Dula Lipa, is the track that they wanted to promote for the most part so that seems like the main single off of this album when they wanted to when they was asked to highlight like a particular track they wanted to be on playlist so with that being said jenny is under Columbia records a division of sony music entertainment under exclusive license from oa entertainment and essentially when it comes to jenny i always talk about her choreography scene in the idol there's this HBO show titled the idol and It's starring Mac Conan, right, aka The Weekend.

And it's also starring like Johnny Depp's daughter or something like that. Lily Depp Rose, I think that's her name. I don't know, I forgot. But anyways, the best part of that show, because I want to, you know, I don't want to keep ragging on the show. But it's not the greatest watch. I ain't gonna lie to you. As long, well, if you come into, if you come into the show knowing that it's not the highest quality of storytelling

and just watch it for everything else, it's immaculate. I ain't gonna lie to you. But if you come into it for storytelling, I'm you know me that it's not it's not for you but it did win an Emmy I believe for best choreography which is why or which is interesting but because before this even happened I talked about how k-pop musicians really make it a intentional effort well really make it very intentional on showcasing so much effort in a choreography dance moves the way they um capture certain uh images when it comes to promoting their tracks like they really want to get an image across through dance

choreography and the overall message and subject matter of whatever particular track that they put out at that point so when it comes to albums and when it comes to putting out a full body of work you already know that a lot of thought went into it because of the amount of thought that went into one particular track and of course me covering you know most of all most if not all genres I don't call I don't cover all genres, but I cover most genres. It's very interesting how K-pop musicians seemingly have the best choreography, time and time out, from BTS to the individual members of BTS when it comes to

Junk, J. Hope, V, when it comes to new jeans, when it comes to, of course, Black Pink and then individually, Jenny, who's from Black Pink, if you didn't know that, basically their choreography stands the test of time when it comes to comparing it to other. music videos and to bring it back full circle that is why I believe the HBO showed the idol won the award for best choreography because I think that scene that Jenny had in the idol was peak as far as showcasing how great a musician can be in the acting realm as far as the choreography standpoint because technically they do that for a living right it's like having a boxer being in the Michael B. Jordan creed movie right it helps give it a

another level of quality that you otherwise wouldn't have had so anyways jenny has an album out now titled ruby and the main thing about this album is that she had extra being one of the singles she had the love hangover track with dominique fight that was actually one of the singles as well i don't know if she had any other single oh she has zen that was also also a single that i cover and i think this is going to do phenomenal on the charts as I didn't even mention the Chowder's Gambino and Callie Uch's being on the same track. I didn't even mention that. So you already know this is going to be a phenomenal listen from start to finish because

I've listened to Jenny before and I just love the way that she makes music and her vocal ability is out of this world. Like listening to Jenny is very Ariana. I'm not going to say like inspiration, but it's as far as the high. high level vocal ability. I believe that Jenny is up there with some of the greater artists in the world. Because listening to her on the one of the girls' tracks with The Weekend to this day, which is also from the HBO show The Idol.

So like I said, if you go into it with storytelling, if you go into it looking for great storytelling, the idol is going to let you down. But everything else, I think it's top tier. The soundtrack, choreography, even some of the visuals, like for the most part, is top tier. So Jenny, she has a track on the soundtrack with the weekend titled One of the Girls, which to the day, I think is still one of the better

tracks in the past five years. Like, that's how amazing I think that track is. So I have a lot of high praise for Jenny. And it's not just talk. Like, I have Jenny all throughout my playlist. I like listening to her. Same way, I like listening to Ariana or Taylor Swift. Like, I think, like, listening to people with immaculate vocal inflection and so much vocal range is great from a

connoisseur of music because you get to hear what males really can't replicate. I'm not going to lie to you. I feel like when it comes to women, they're way better at singing, much better at singing than guys. And so it was broken down to me before that essentially, and not making like excuses, but you know, biologically, which you know, I'm not trying to cancel, but women, they talk in a certain headspace that you sing in. So if you don't know, as far as singing, you have to train your voice to get to a

certain level of singing. Like if you're not a good singer, you could train your voice up to a certain point. Now, that's a certain point, right? I mean, if you're Chris Brown, you can go past that point a little bit for you the weekend. Obviously, you can go past that point and start hearing them falsettos consistently, right? But for most people, they can't sing, but you could work on it, right? But rapping is something I think anybody can do if you put enough effort into it. Not saying that if you're going to be a lyricist, but I think being a great rapper can be worked on. It's rapping is like Steph Curry and singing. It's like LeBron James.

Like one, you could technically work towards, but it's still almost impossible for you to replicate some of the masterclass lyricists in the world. singing you got to be very gifted naturally to get to a certain level right there's only so much you could work on you know i mean if you like in the analogy i use if you're not six eight you're not going to be doing what the brine doing on the court right so uh yeah with that being said jenny's immaculate she's amazing she's a masterful artist and showcases what actual effort looks like into a body of work and to the visuals and to her overall vision as far as her acting and her contributions to soundtracks overall I think Jenny is
