Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, when it comes to Jesse Murph, we have covered her before on this podcast, but that was for her track, Blue Strips. And of course, all the way back in July 21st, 2023, I covered her track. Well, I think it was Polo G's track featuring Diplow and Jesse Murph titled Heartbroken. So of course, we're familiar of this artist, but if you're not, just know, she definitely broke out blending a lot of pop with R&B and hip hop and electronic dance influences. So specifically as of this segment, we're getting into her track that she just put out on all DSPs titled 1965. And when it comes to that particular track, you're probably wondering to yourself, Why do you have Jesse Murph on a whole video singing Heron Live? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm not going to lie to you.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Whoever is behind a PR team for Jesse Murph, I don't know if they need to be fired, but ultimately that is a crazy name for a track title. Now, of course, when it comes to that, just know she did put out her latest album title, Sex, Hysterio. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? And then guess what the first track is? Literally titled Gucci Main.
Starting point is 00:01:16 But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? And then, of course, she has featuring Gucci Main on donuts and then featuring little baby on best behavior. Now, ladies and gentlemen, one thing I want to say is that I just want to let you know this album was out. the main thing I took as far as just seeing the crazy rollout for this album because the heroin definitely threw me off I'm like what in the world we we promote now here you know me like hello Timmy's eyes from from the screen because who in the world wants to see something
Starting point is 00:01:45 like this but obviously it's more of adult type music and of course as far as her um Alabama ties and things of that nature and of course when it comes to um it was something else i was want to go to me oh yeah when it comes to her influences she's really influenced by hip-hop artists if you didn't know she's influenced by the goat which is drake of course you know i mean i i even know i had to clarify that but you know she's influenced by the goat she's also influenced by germane uh scissah uh so a lot of different oh mac miller so she's has a she has different hip-hop artists and it's very interesting that she has little baby and gucgmyne on the album because i'm not going to say it shows that she's tapped in but she also has collaborations with big x to plug um
Starting point is 00:02:29 Um, yeah, that's basically for the hip-hop side. But that's the main thing I wanted to talk about is that I feel like it's, I don't know if it's pandering or if it's her authentic, uh, uh, infection or affection. I forget, I forget what the word is. Affection for, uh, hip-hop. I believe that's what the word is. But when it comes to Jesse Murph and the latest track, 1965 being the single, that's what this specific segment is talking about because if you didn't know,
Starting point is 00:02:58 the writers for that track is Jesse Murph, V-Y-N-K, Steve Rush, I don't even know how you say that, and then Lori Alora Veltz. And then, of course, it's off of her album, Sex Hysteria, which is out now on all DSPs. It is 15 tracks and length, 42 minutes long, and it is under Sony. And that is very interesting because, of course, when it comes to Sony, they currently have 13% of the entire music, market share so when it comes to universal music group they have 60% Warner has 21% Sony has 13 and then the others which is smaller subsidiaries and then um independent acts they have 6% so Sony having 13% you know it's a little better than the independence right so she has more of a
Starting point is 00:03:45 fighting chance I believe and of course um you never want to go to a label or a subsidiary that will not put you or will not make you a priority which you know uh Jesse murph being on Columbia records is very interesting because I believe they have a lot of different acts over there um let me see if there's any on the charts right now Columbia uh the most popular from Columbia right now is Luke Combs for his album this one's for you which is the 47th most played project in the world so when it comes to jesse murf um i'm not going to say she's not a priority but she's definitely having a lot of marketing strategy which you know could lead to her being a priority if she ends up having a hit because you know songs like blue strips uh songs
Starting point is 00:04:27 like little too drunk were written slash recorded in under 30 minutes and you already know what happens when people hear that red flags just start popping up everywhere they're like you you made it and how much time you know i mean it's like to think that you ain't really put that much effort into it but ultimately if you if you give the album a chance listen to uh the 15 tracks off of the album 42 minutes long and realize that you know even though she is a pop artist she has a lot of influences when it comes to hip hop and of course rnb so hopefully that showcases on the album i haven't listened to it but definitely wanted to let the masses know that jesse murph has just put out an album title sex hysteria so with that being said click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social
Starting point is 00:05:10 medias what do you think about her latest album sex hysteria and will you be giving it a listen
