Starting point is 00:00:01 Now, ladies and gentlemen, we're getting into a specific artist that I've covered before as far as her group. And of course, I've covered her counterpart as far as as the group Black Pink. I've covered Jenny. And this is one of the first times. I think I've covered Jenny a lot. As far as Jisu, hopefully I'm saying the name right. I covered her back for the first time, March 31st, 2023 with her track Me. I covered her again, January 10th, 2024 with her track Blissu.
Starting point is 00:00:31 And of course, I covered her February 14th, 2025, where her track, a Mortgage. So with that being said, the main thing I was going to get into is her track was Zane, titled Eyes Closed. And when it comes to this specific track, I definitely been seeing a lot of interest when it comes to engagement. And of course, one of the things I give with Korean pop artists is that their choreography is always on point. I don't know what it is about the process of finding these artists to blow up under K-pop. But whenever they come out, the choreography seems to be one of the main things that they make sure is A1 before they let these artists pop. And I say let like they are under a certain label.
Starting point is 00:01:16 And that's because they are. When it comes to Jesu, when it comes to Black Pink, they're under their own specific labels. As Jassu specifically, I think she's under Warner. But actually, let me look at her album because that may just be because she's with Zane. so she's okay so she is under warner exclusive license from blissu limited and of course when it comes to black pink i believe they are under i think it's hype i don't know if it's hype i don't know if that's the right label let me see no it's yg okay it's yg entertainment so there's different subsidiaries and teams behind the scenes to make these people seem larger than life so what the track from jisu and zane
Starting point is 00:01:59 phenomenal to the point where that track ended up being an R&B hit to the point where it received a lot of engagement from a bunch of different places. It was a 80-20 split as far as streaming and downloads, which is very interesting as far as your actual fans purchasing your music versus streaming. That split is much better than a lot of musicians in the industry. You would be lucky if your split is a 9010 right usually is 99 98% streaming people are not going to pay for things that DSPs such as Spotify such as Apple make easier to access via a subscription why pay for something when you could just have a subscription and have the whole music library I'm not making that argument I'm just saying that that's what the mental process is of people who don't
Starting point is 00:02:55 buy actual tracks and albums. So to have an 80-20 split as far as streaming and purchases is very impressive, especially if you don't know Jitsu had the tie-in to Euphoria's Season 3 soundtrack, which added 20% to her streams. And the reason why I say that is because there's a lot of things behind the scenes, like I keep saying, that helps people seem larger than life. So along with that, you already know as far as Asia, which is Jissu's base, 60% of her streams came from that.
Starting point is 00:03:28 And then now when it comes to adding Zane to this specific track, eyes closed, eyes open. It was one of them? I think it was eyes closed. But when it comes to the track with Zane title Eyes Close, which came out yesterday, safe to say, that specific track debuted at number 23 as far as Spotify,
Starting point is 00:03:46 Global 5 million plus streams, and number 15 on Music Global. So this track coming out so early on the charts as far as future chart predictions safe to say this is going to be a very interesting rise as far as the charts because not only do you have zane adding certain european engagement but then you have jisu as far as the asia engagement i'm just talking about from an overall majority uh engagement standpoint 60% of streams from as jesu's base and then 25% of europe's engagement came from zane per Spotify so now
Starting point is 00:04:22 you look at it and you look at how okay some countries overlap but really they're casting a wide net for this specific duet which is why people pointing out this specific picture right here analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio but they essentially was talking about how um zane was the second man to be posted on jesu's ig basically meaning that they're very stickler with who they do collapse with It's not just a random guess on who they want to do a collab with. Prime example. Jenny and Dochi just put out a collab back in February of this year, and that track was titled Extra. And the reason why I say that is because I don't want to get into the crest of it. But there's certain machines behind the scenes to make these people seem larger than life. Let me put it like that.
Starting point is 00:05:16 So I love Dochi over here. So we're now going to get into the crust. Y'all can say I'm caping and I'm being a shield. And yes, I am. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? But let's just say, yeah, there's very talented teams behind the scenes to make these people seem larger than life.
Starting point is 00:05:33 So with that being said, the main thing I was wanting to get into, especially with already going over the covers of the eyes closed track with Zane. I wanted to get into more of Jisu's personal reflection ongoing independent. And specifically, I wanted to go to this right here and then here we go. So they're talking about Jitsu being a lead vocalist, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio, she basically describes what made her go solo. Lead vocalist, I'm,
Starting point is 00:06:07 so I'm basically gonna give the English version as she talked about, it was very quick, hold it, let me go back. So she said, with my latest solo tracks, I think I brought out more of my husky voice. So I don't know what that means, I'm not going to lie to you. I don't know if that just was a bad English translation, but it's not a lot you can get out of that as far as being a little lead vocalist. It was just the question was as, that's how she wanted to answer.
Starting point is 00:06:43 If you're a Jesu fam, now you know her answer, whether you like it or not. So, you guys. So with that being said, the track is doing phenomenal on the charts. I just came out so you already know if we're already on the projections as far as a specific track you know it's about to blow up as far as the foreseeable future so I believe just sue and zane may have a hit on their hands and I've covered each artist a plethora of times on the podcast I covered uh zane his track loved like this back in july 21st 2023 so it seems like he's back again with a very interesting collab with jisu and I do believe it's going to do well on the charts
Starting point is 00:07:21 So that being said, click my link to you in my bio, let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Jissu and Zayans' track? Eyes closed. And at the end of the day, if you haven't been into K-pop, which artists, whether it's new jeans, whether it's Black Pink, whether it's Jenny Jissu, whether it's BTS, whether it's K-pop demon hunters, which group or artists would you want to listen to first if you was going to get into K-pop?
